unless you are Filipino-Chinese and speak good Mandarin and/or Fookien this bank is for you. if you do not fit the above criteria expect low salary and standard benefits like COLA, clothing, transpo allowances.

almost all Lucio Tan owned companies pay low salaries and offer limited growth, if any. i know this from experience. ;)

Amen to this... My parents both were Allied Bankers at some point in their career and they discouraged us from applying.

if i were you there are other local or foreign companies that would value your talent and education, stay away from this bank and its sister firms.

btw, sobrang lakas din diyan ang padrino at palakasan system.

my apologies if you did not understand but what i mean to say is that being filipino-chinese is a HUGE advantage compared to ethnic pinoys. more often than not Tsinoys are those who get promoted (to become officers, managers, etc.) and get the perks that comes along with it.

one of this bank's sister firms is losing market share so fast that there are retrenchment plans. :mecry: kawawa naman ang mga mapapaalis.

Bakit daw?

Low pay, ugly benefits, no decent retirement benefits...

In all fairness to Allied Bank, it was through their meager salary that we were able to eat during the 1st 10 years of my life...
