Example yung EE ka pero more on IT yung trabaho, parang feeling mo na-defeat ng economic reality yung gusto mong gawing sa buhay mo and part nga ng gusto mong gawin sa buhay mo ay ang magtrabaho bilang kung ano ang ginusto mo na pag-aralan (ng limang taon!). It paid off naman all the hardships and sacrifices na ginawa ko, not just financially but as a well-rounded professional as well.

I worked as a java programmer from 2001-2003. I quit and switch to nursing kasi ndi satisfying yung job ko. I worked for an American IT company and it was hard to get promoted and I foresaw that my IT job wouldn't be enough to support a family. If you really want a stable job in the IT biznez, try appling in banks but other than that, I think ang hirap umasenso.

Same here.

Back in college I specialized in network engineering with emphasis on network security. After graduating, nobody would hire a freshgrad to handle security so I was forced to use my backup skills. I've been a Java programmer for 2 years now and sure as hell, I'm happy with where I am right now (though I still wish I can at least use whatever stuff I learned back in college every now and then)

Ok lang yan. Ganyan talaga pag rookie. Your primary goals should be:
1) Fill-up your bank account first. So take some job to fill-up your bank account first. You can even use your savings to finance further post-graduate studies to make your resume more attractive.
2) Acquire experience. Few lucky people can get a perfect-fit job straight from college. Parang video game yan. You need to acquire skills in order to get to the next levels.

Thanks for the advice, though, I've completely given up on the networking field (sayang xperience ko from programming if I switch again) I'm scheduled to be trained for RPG programming next month and am planning to go study some more later this year (probably japanese language).
As for savings, salary aint a problem right now. :) Subcons are hella lucrative.

Talagang gusto kong work more on broadcasting (ABS-CBN, Solar Entertainment etc...) kaso mga openings dun palagi kelangan ng working experience in a related field.

Puro Laguna o Cavite. Mukhang me schedule ang training.

Kahit naman di gaano ka related *** current job mo ngayon sa course mo eh, you can never tell kung later eh, commonect din yun, basta ang importante eh gain much experience as you can

CoE graduate po ako nitong 2006. I came from a Telecommunications company, but resigned yesterday because mas feel ko talaga ang trabahong pang IT.

Tol try mo mag-apply sa globe, I actually know three batchmates working there pero wala pang license. I'm not sure kung anong department pero malaki ang kita nila dun.

from what I heard, Azeus is the best in terms of IT training and experience. CMM level 5 sila which is the highest standard in the IT field (yung CMM/CMMI parang ISO standard ng IT).

Look before you leap kasi style ko eh.

guys, I need some opinions in choosing between the two companies I'm applying at, namely Fujitsu (makati), and Azeus. Nabasa ko na yung respective threads nung dalawang companies dito sa PEX but I'm still not sure kung saan talaga mas okay para sa akin.
Meron ako job offer tommorow sa azeus for software test engineer, sa fujitsu naman final interview(sa president) ko kanina, and bukas pa malalaman kung pumasa ako for trainee sa kanila.
the pros for fujitsu is malapit sa amin (15 min. commute), maganda training (possible cisco accreditation), and travel oppurtunities. Gusto ko din line of work dito since more on Networking.
sa azeus naman high starting pay (about 4 times the allowance ng fujitsu trainee) as well as maganda din training kung sa IT field.

Win-win scenario ka naman eh. Go Azeus and you'll learn a lot about Software Engineering. Go Fujitsu and you'll get the needed experience to apply as a network engineer abroad. Don't let the pay get to you - maghahabolhabol din yan.
Think about what you really want to do.
Either way, you're in good company.

Gudluk! :)

thanks sa advice mga tol. The worst case scenario kasi sa akin since uncertain pa yung fujitsu ay mag-backout yung azeus sabay hindi ako tanggapin ng fujitsu as trainee.

Azeus is always constantly hiring so even if you dont make it to the scheduled training batch, there's always a next batch (after a month or two)

To answer the question, I wouldn't trade it for something else. That's how happy I am thank you very much.

actually taga Makati ako eh, so yung sinabi kong commute 15 mins from fujitsu makati, not the plant in laguna. Sa azeus sabi ni kaningbrown in about a month or two daw meron uli opening. Sabi din sa akin nung hr wala talaga silang target or limit sa number of personel na hina-hire nila so pwede ka din mag-apply dun anytime. Try mo apply sa jobsdb, at the same time send mo yung resume and TOR sa careers-ph@azeus.com
I just accepted the job offer at azeus, sana tumagal ako.

Well... maybe it's not the job for him... I do know a lot of people who stayed in Azeus ng matagal.. as in matagal :) May life naman sila :) Madalas gumimik :)
