you'll be given a situation(a problem), and then from that situation, you have to think of a scenario in your life wherein you've experienced the given situation. You have to narrate everything from where the problem started up to the point the problem was solved, including the people invloved in the scenario. As in, you have to narrate it step by step coz the interviewer will be writing it down and will ask some questions during the narration

I just took their test then 1 month later I had an offer na.

Hi c0re21 :) when you say 2months,is it from the time nag submit ka ng resume or from your situational interview? hmmm so matagal pala talaga if it's from the time you had your situational interview, kailangan siguro wag ko na *** sya isip isipin. For the record,
Accenture Technology Solutions (ATS) is not a Call Center
Accenture Customer Contact Service (ACCS) is the Call Center
You were called kasi qualified ka for ATS.
Second, JSE is not an agent. In layman's term JSE = programmer.
You can expect good training, and marketability sa ibang IT companies once you leave accenture.
Skill or School? They won't admit to being biased to the 4 big universities, BUT if you got the skills, schools don't matter.

I heard good feedbacks from this company through friends. they said one good thing about this company is career growth they will take care of you and they help you to sharpen your knowledge in IT. I think this is true, imo, from what i see they are ones of the best in their discipline, programmers and teamplayers.

Feb 18, 2007, 12:43 PM
I know a lot of people who work there and from what I heard, depende din kung anong platform at kung ano gusto mong gawin. For example, kung gusto mong programming then swerte mo kapag napunta ka sa java. Pero kung sa SAP ka then malas mo. Yun lang pangit kasi hindi ikaw magdedecide kung saan mo gusto mapunta.
comrade5031
Feb 18, 2007, 03:55 PM
bakit naman malas sa sap? I heard sap professionals are paid high....
robert_s_huxley
Feb 18, 2007, 05:56 PM
I meant that kung gusto mo programming then napunta ka sa SAP, malas mo. Pero kung okay naman yung database management sayo then ok sa SAP. It depends on what you want to do. T

Hi reversed,
Ideally, IT/engineering grads are being hired for the programmer role. However, even if you are not an IT grad, all entry level positions (for the Solutions WOrkforce, this is called ASE or Associate Software Engineer) undergo training that would be to your advantage.
With regards to the grades, they really look into it, but there are also other factors being considered--your exam results and series of interviews.
Salary & benefits--in general, very competitive. Other companies may offer a little higher, but overall, the package is really good, and training is very rewarding. Not to mention Accenture is a very stable company, you don't have the fear of a company that will soon close shop. Should you decide to leave after your bond, you will be very confident to face another role in another company.
btw, the bond is still 2 years, not 3 years as others mentioned here.

Attrition rate is manageable. It is nothing compared to its growth rate. at this point, Accenture has around 12,000 employees, all workforces combined (Solutions, Enterprise, BPO & Contact Center).
Benefits-wise, very competitive. For Solutions (IT group) alone, you have the chance of an onshore assignment (in US, UK, Toronto, TK, etc), which can range from 1 week to 1 year depending on the project and the business need.
Apply ka na. It wont hurt to try.

synergy, i'll give you one tip:
If you feel you want a new project, there is definitely a way. You can actually request for roll-off. There are other factors to this, one is skills. But then again, not all projects are alike. You may find that your current does not fit your expectations, while another may seem ideal. There is no perfect project, i believe.
Kung tingin mo, better compensated ka or may be less pressured in another project or for whatever reason you want to leave your current project but do not want to leave ACN, then go and talk to your TL/manager. In the end, kung di ka kasi satisfied, it will somehow reflect in your performance or behavior.
Are you an ASE?

hi eveRyone.
Ive been woRking foR 2 years in a gaming company.
I am a ComputeR engineering graduate of one of the best engineering schools in Manila....
and I am so confused and frustrated....
I spent almost 2 years being contented with doing easy work in this company. Its just frustrating because I feel like "nabobobo na ako". AT first, masaya naman work ko. This is my first job and I was already working here even before I graduated last March 2005.
Im doing less-pressure tasks and I dont need to use my brain too much. Im enjoying playing online games 24/7. I talk with a lot of people. I have fun. In fact ayoko nga talaga umalis dito.. kasi I feel like this is my second home as in sobrang extended family ko na din mga tao dito... pero.. I have to go on with my life. and I am not getting younger. Hayy! :mecry:
After all the fun and enjoyment.. I know I can deliver more.
I know I can be better than this. And I want to use my brain. And I want something SERIOUS and more challenging than this.
The bottomline is.... I want a better JOB. :)
I really want to be in an IT Company but Im feeling a little nervous about giving it a try again. I already applied @ Accenture last year but I didnt pass the interview.
Is it okay to give it another try?
What do I have to do?
I really need tips. Im really desperate na! Feel free to email me here (kitikitiako@yahoo.com).

I really want to be in an IT Company but Im feeling a little nervous about giving it a try again. I already applied @ Accenture last year but I didnt pass the interview.
Is it okay to give it another try?
What do I have to do?
I really need tips. Im really desperate na! Feel free to email me here (kitikitiako@yahoo.com).

if u got a job from Accenture Customer Contact Service (ACCS), is there a chance that u can apply or promoted to Accenture Technology Solutions (ATS)?
the vamp

apply to the other workforce (from ACCS to ATS) - yes i believe this is possible but i am not sure what process is in place.
promoted from one workforce to the other - i doubt. when you are performing well in one workforce, say ACCS, it does not mean you automatically will become eligible to transfer to ATS. for one, the baseline is skillset. while many non-IT people land in an entry level IT post in Accenture Technology Solutions, being in ACCS does not mean you can move to the other group in a breeze. there are still processes that must be followed. a TL in the contact services may not necessarily equate to a TL in the solutions workforce, and vice versa.

i dont think the right term is freeze hiring. in fact, in our project, we need many new ASEs. let's just say baka hindi ganun kalaki ang priority for ATS, unlike BPO and ACCS. but no, i dont think we're on freeze hiring. let me confirm and get back to you.
kaya rin siguro hindi masyado marami ang hirees is because, sadly, the market for IT graduates and qualified to be in IT has become too small.

hi..
tanong ko *** po..
What if nakapagsign na ako ng contract wid accenture..(ASE pos'n) and ryt now still waiting for the start date
tas nag apply ako sa ibang companies and they're getting me na and ready na for start date.
Watya think? kunin ko na kaya *** magwowork na ako or *** waiting in vain pa din for accenture na unknown naman start date?
tas pano *** *** babayaran sa bond? applicable pa din ba un kahit d pa nagstart sa accenture?
i'd really like to work in accenture but i also want to work na..
hmmmm so hard to decide..

Should you decide to leave after your bond, you will be very confident to face another role in another company.
btw, the bond is still 2 years, not 3 years as others mentioned here.
hi the vamp! thank you very much for that info. very helpful indeed. i'm an MIS grad (management information system) and i do hope ATS would give a second look at my resume :rotflmao: they already called me last december but my phone...(lowbatt, too bad) i did not mind it since i still have a job at that time. i'll try again my luck later  (at the jobs expo)

Hey all. How is it working in the BPO industry? What is the normal starting salary? Also, are the workhours as hard as they claim? Do you get pissed off with your "clients"? How do you cope with a**hole "clients"?

try to call the recruiter if you know the name, or better yet try to go to one of the offices, maybe at Libran House or at 3rd floor of Robinsons Pioneer and try to follow up about your current status.

Do'n sa pina-sign sa application na sinasabing ina-assure mo sila na di ka employee ng mga naka-list ka company, as in never ka bang naging employee dapat or puwedeng previously eh employee ka do'n pero nakapag-resign ka na? Kasi nakapag-work ako sa mga isa sa mga naka-list do'n eh pero nakapag-resign na 'ko do'n matagal na.
