meron na ba sa inyo may bad experience sa pag kuha ng NBI clearance? ako meron, may kapangalan ako na may kasong estaffa, yung guy na nag-iinterview sa kin naninindak e since hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin nasindak ako, mayabang sya, parang ang gusto nyang mangyari i-admit mo na ikaw yung tao, meron syang pinapagawa na ayaw kong gawin since i was about to start working na. napaiyak talaga ako dun sa tao and he was really mean. ngayon im going to renew may NBI clearance again im thinking it might happen again. i still dont know what to do just in case mangyari ulit yung ngyari sa akin. please share your experiences, how did you deal with it and give some tips narin.

Since you already have NBI Clearance. I believe there are NBI Machine somewhere in Glorietta when you can renew it there. I think it's like ATM machine or something. So maybe it's better for you to renew it there.

The Godfather that's what i thought, since i was able to get one na after the bad experience, pero sabi nung tao dun sa renewal, i still have to go to the main office para makuha yung copy, hay nako eh kung nabigay na nila nung 1st time dapat pwede nila ulit ibigay tong pangalawa, nakakainis lang  :depressed:
heygurl may mga tinanong sya actually medyo hindi ko na maalala yung mga pinapagawa nya sa kin, he was asking me to go to Cebu, eh ayoko kasi mag sisimula na yung work.. ewan ko nga eh baka mali lang yung way na pag answer ko.. :sigh:

hi! tanong ko lang, ano ba usually requirements sa pagrenew ng nbi clearance tsaka is there a fee for renewal? thanks! ;)
experience ko getting an nbi clearance is like a moshpit with an endless line.. super haba ng pila sa city hall, para pumipila kami para makapasok sa isang concert. hehehe

That's where I got mine. But I got the original on through our office a few years back. May program sila to help us get our NBI clearances and I got mine within an hour. Don't know how it long (or how difficult) it would take if you had to go through NBI itself.

My fastest was in SM Megamall, 3 minutes lang ata yun
In fairness though, renewal lang yun.

| Last February 19, I went to the Mandaluyong City Hall to get an NBI Clearance as needed by my new employer. I diligently followed all instructions and finished the registration including the über messy fingerprinting in less than 30 minutes. They asked me to come back on February 26, a week later, to get my clearance. I remember 3 years ago, getting an NBI Clearance only took 3 days.
Availing of an NBI Clearance now costs Php 120. If you'd want your 2x2 picture taken in the NBI Satellite station, it will cost another Php 40, which I availed of. But you can also bring one copy of your 2x2 pix with white background. Anyway, registering for an NBI Clearance is really not a hassle at all but getting it is.
As ordered, I came back yesterday at 10AM to pick up my clearance. To my disappointment, one of the girls mentioned that I need to come back at 4PM since they still have to pick it up from Quiapo. Of course, I rolled my eyes, and held back my temper. I asked them to stamp my receipt with the time they mentioned so everything is documented.
I went back home and fuzzed with anything my hand touches out of boredom. Waiting for four PM seemed forever, until I fell asleep at 2PM. I woke up at 4 and reached City Hall at 430. I was worried that the office might already be closed when I get there. You know how these stinking government offices are - opens late, closes early.
I presented my receipt to the same lady who stamped it with "4PM." Without even looking at my receipt nor even having the courtesy to look me, she stood up and told me to just come back tomorrow since they weren't able to pick it up. Worse, as she was saying this, she was walking towards a room and locked up right after finishing her sentence. #&%@z!! I couldn't help but knock at the door and waited for her to open it up and told her sarcastically "Salamat po sa abala!" Then I pushed her chair on my way out.
I went home so disappointed and so irritated with the kind of service they offered. At that time, I wanted to bomb the place. Yeah right, as if I can.
So being the diligent and goo dFilipino citizen that I am, I went back this afternoon to claim my clearance. I went there at 3PM just to give them leeway. Annoyingly, the same girl was attending to the requests. I know that she remembered me cause when she saw me standing at the door, she started rolling her eyes and flipping her files hard enough for me to hear the swish sound at the door.
Without saying a word, I presented her my receipt. She took it and read my name aloud, as if I was deaf. I acknowledged her mockery yet still another annoying thing is about to happen. She told me that my papers were inside the room and she's only attending to the papers that are on her table, which ironically were really due for release today.
I smirked my eyes and told her that if she isn't going to get it in the room, then i will. I was already holding the door when she told me that I wasn't authorized to go there. "Alam ko, eh tinatamad ka pong kunin diba!" She must have felt that I wasn't going to seal my lips from her incompetence and stood up got my file and gave me my clearance. Yet as soon as she handed me my clearance, she asked for Php 5 as payment for the thumbark ink. She was asking it from everyone. It was then that I told her that Im using my sign pen to mark my thumb and press it on the paper since it'll will have the same effect anyway. I just don't want to pay another centavo to an incompetent fool.
She watched me press my right thumb on my NBI Clearance and fanned herself the sweat trickling down her cheeks. I handed her my clearance to have it dry sealed and left. I never want to see her face ever again.
i just couldn't imagine that we are paying for this kind of service. Im paying an effing amount of tax every year, on top of the VAT and EVAT, the corresponding amount in filing a Cedula (which I really don't understand why there's a need to pay another amount for that!!!!), amiliar / land tax, and other government mandated fees, tax tax tax puro na lang tax just for the government to hire another mascot to serve us or for the government to buy another brand new car to be used personally, and the many other perennially sickening ways of the elected.
no wonder there's such a word called TAXING... figures. |

The last time i got my NBI clearance, it was hassle free. I lost my previous NBI clearance so i had to avail of a new one.
It took me roughly an hour to get everything done and i got the printed out form right away. Before, when it wasn't in carriedo yet, it would take a few days before you'd be able to get the printed form.
P.S. I'm glad i have a really long and weird name. hehe

nagpnta ako last friday for renewal ng clearance ko..8am ako nagpnta sa carriedo, kainis lang dahil sa wed ko pa daw makukuha yung print out..ang tanong ko lang bakit kelangan ko pang bumalik eh print out na lang ang kailngan nun, wala naman ako pinabago sa detail, all the information has been checked..taktika ba yan para makasingil na naman sila ng bente pesos for entrance pagbalik ko? kahit 20 lang yun aba eh ilan ba ang nagpupunta sa carriedo kada arw para kumuha ng clearance..san ka pa, government institution naniningil ng entrance..at naisip ko rin..taktika rin ba yan para just in case mawala ng client ang resibo eh magbayad at pumila na naman sila dun..kainis ****..tinaon pang off ko, nagtitipid nga ako ng pamasahe eh..

the first time I got my nbi clearance, I went to NBI Carriedo. It took me 2 hours max for the whole process. I didn't get it on the same day though because there was a "hit", I got my clearance after a week, I think. If you're going to NBI Carriedo, you need to be there real early so you could transact faster.
I had my clearance renewed recently. Took me less than five minutes to get it. For those living near Divisoria or if you can get there easily, try having your clearance renewed at Tutuban Center. NBI has a renewal kiosk there.

this is one for the Ripley's... Police and NBI clearances are ok..when I went to DFA for my passport ...the guy at the counter told me that " wanted daw ako" ...sabi ko for what crime?
mayroon daw sa Basilan at nasaan daw ako noong date na yun? mabuti na lang dala ko yung company ID plus employer's certification that I am working as an Accountant in an airline industry...
tingin ko mukhang gusto akong perahan...dahil may lugar na pinapapuntahan sa akin...sabi ko, no...I'd like to talk to the boss here...

hassle pag may "hit", meaning may kapangalan. from the kiosk, I was asked to go to Carriedo. I have yet to find out. :)

it took me 2 hours. had to go to carriedo bec my soon to be previous employer couldnt (or wouldnt) return my personal copy that i needed for renewal (i used my other copy to get a passport). parang 2 hours of patintero hehe - lipat sa linya na mabilis. bring a companion na pwedeng pumila sa ibang line. yung step 2 and 3 lang naman ang matagal, buti na lang nagbukas sila ng bagong line during step 2 kaya ang dating kulelat (me) naging first in line hehe. yung step 3 - wag pipila sa outermost line kasi it's the longest line. ang mabilis yung inner lines - lalo na yung sa tabi ng wall. if you're done w/ steps 2 and 3 wala ng pila halos. yung step 4 pila pa rin pero mabilis lang, mug shot lang naman eh :D
i got the renewal card din, P120. sa laki ng kita ng nbi (imagine blockbuster everyday and ang renewal is what - P115) di man lang sila maginvest sa medyo makatarungang video cam or murang digicam. hindi talaga makatarungan ang mugshot ng nbi haha.
basta bring a fan, gatorade and a lot of sense of humor pag sa carriedo ka kukuha ng clearance.

uy i know medyo matagal nang di walang nagpo-post dito, but i'm still hoping may makakasagot ng question ko...
i tried to renew my NBI clearance yesterday sa kiosk and I was told to go to NBI Carriedo coz may "hit" daw sa name ko. from what i understand, pag may "hit", may kapangalan kang may kaso, right?
eto ngayon ang dilemma ko: i have 3 credit cards na hindi ko na nabayaran plus salary loan from 2 banks. yung mga credit cards, medyo matagal na yun... before nagbabayad ako paunti-unti, but because of financial problems, nahinto na sya altogether. same with yung sa salary loans ko --- yung isa dun, inapply ko lang on my own, while the other one i got through salary deduction sa previous company ko. yung sa bank na inapplyan ko ng salary loan on my own, umabot kami sa pirmahan sa legal agency na i'll pay 5k pero month until nov 2007. kaso, 2 pymts lang ako natigil na coz nawalan na ko ng work. yung salary deduction naman, regular ang payment ko dun dati until the time na nawalan nga ko ng work at meron pang almost 20k na balance. hindi ko na din nabayaran yun since then.
dati, nung puro credit cards pa lang yung issues ko, wala akong "hit" pag kumukuha ako ng NBI clearance. but yesterday, first time na nangyari na may "hit" sa name ko. Madami nagsasabi SOP lang naman daw yun kung may kapangalan ka and mare-release din daw agad yung clearance after verification. e kaso, yun nga yung concern ko. may mga issues na ako with two banks regarding "sum of money (salary loan)", which is why i'm so scared to go to Carriedo for fear na baka may nagsampa na pala ng kaso against me.
questions:
1) yun po bang "sum of money" or "salary loan", civil case po ba yun o criminal case, and nafa-file din po ba sa NBI ang civil case?
2) supposing na naisipan nga akong sampahan ng kaso ng mga banks na yun, magpu-push through ba yung case even if wala akong nare-receive na subpoena or notice regarding hearing details, etc? well, lumipat din kasi ako ng house coz di na namin kayang bayaran yung dating inuupahan namin so it might be the reason why wala akong nakuhang notice.... but yun nga, pwede bang matuloy ang kaso kahit hindi nila ako nabibigyan ng notice about it?
3) if magpunta ako sa NBI Carriedo and nalaman kong ako nga yung nakasuhan, what will happen to me? huhulihin ba ako right there and then? sorry kung medyo stupid question yun ha, pero it really SCARES me!!! :mecry:
sa takot ko nga, parang ayaw ko nang kunin yung NBI clearance ko, but i need to find a new job and para na rin makapag-start na ako maitama yung mga maling decisions ko before and start anew.... kaya eto, i have no choice but to go there and face it all...:depressed:
hope you can help enlighten me in any way. thanks a bunch!!!

Got my NBI clearance yesterday in less than 1.5 hours...Lines were long and there were a lot of people fussing around...But apparently, the staff can handle the number of people applying for clearance...There were at least 6 counters for every step of the process...Pinakamatagal na yata yung Step # : Quicksearch...
Tip: Bring 2 friends along so that they can get you ahead in line for the proceeding steps while you handle the first one...That's what I did...Actually, I just brought my cousin...While I was falling in line for Step1, she was falling in line for Step2...Then I would replace her in Step2...She then would proceed to Step3...And so on...

Really? I had a satisfactory transactional experience with the people in NBI Carriedo...Most were aging women who were patient and accomodating...
May mga edad na *** mga nagttrabaho...Which I think is better...Because of the "patience" factor...Some of them even have the energy to butt in a joke or two about taking your picture or your name...hehehe...

Hi there! You can view it at this page: http://www.pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php?t=276771&page=22
I hope makatulong din sa peace of mind ng friend mo. *okay*
Btw, update lang on my case: I faced my fears last week and went to NBI Carriedo.
So ayun nga, I was anticipating that something would come up regarding my issue with the banks and credit cards, but lo and behold, dire-direcho lang yung process ko. My NBI clearance was released the next day ---- No Derogatory Record!!! Whew, I really breathed a big, big sigh of relief! :D At least, I would be able to start with my new job na wala nang iniintinding legal problems regarding past mistakes.
Pero lesson learned talaga... I'm making a promise to myself that I'll handle my finances properly this time, and that once I've settled all our immediate needs sa family, I'll get in touch with these banks na ulit for payment arrangements. Haaaay. :)

Thanks.
