""MORE than six out of every 10 people that worked in a call-center eventually moved to another job in a separate industry..."

That's from an article in the Manila Times (http://www.manilatimes.net/national/2007/jan/23/yehey/business/20070123bus2.html)today. What do you think contact centers should do so that you'll stay? e.g. Better work schedule so you can take advantage of the MRT/LRT schedule? Instead of starting at 10pm, shift schedule start at 9pm - before the mrt/lrt closes.

Multiple shifts, flexi-time and 4-day work week.

i.e. Some people prefer to work at 1 AM since it affords them to get at least 4-hours of sleep at night and this improves job performance as compared to working in a shift that starts at 9PM.

Reasonable performance metrics/QA requirements and employment terms that do not have draconian provisions and degrade employees to "expendibles".

Show some respect to Filipino customs by not serving puto and pancit as a midnight Christmas meal! ahahahah tagos ba!

Let see, when the employer say they require a one-year bond because of the investment in 'training' they'll provide you, make it a REAL training - i.e. something that will add to a person's knowledge. (Two weeks worth of training with half of the time talking about company's policies and procedures does not count.)

yeah...

when I was with CVG before meron kami sked na 3AM - 12PM... reverse mid shift ang tawag. mas pabor ako dun since pwede ka pa matulog starting at 9PM.

since malapit lang ako sa Ortigas, in 5-10mins cab ride nasa work na ko. recharged na ko when I come to work. hindi katulad kapag work mo starts at 9 or 10PM. kung baga sakop talaga *** graveyard. kapag papasok ka na kulang pa *** tulog mo, pupungas pungas ka pa at definitely apektado performance mo sa floor... :bashful:
