ClientLogic and SITEL Merge Becomes Official

ClientLogic and SITEL Corporation, both providers of outsourced customer support services, announced that ClientLogic has completed its acquisition of SITEL Corporation by merger.

"As companies increasingly turn to trusted BPO partners to manage their customer care and transaction processing needs, qualities like adaptability, a large menu of services, a deep bench of expertise and expansive geographic reach are a requirement. The new company is ideally positioned to meet these needs," said Dave Garner, former president and CEO of ClientLogic, and current president and CEO of the combined company.

The merged company is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and has over 65,000 associates across 28 countries. Its revenue of $1.8 billion is generated by providing services from on-shore, nearshore and offshore locations across more than 145 facilities throughout North America, South America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

Jim Lynch, chairman and CEO of SITEL, commented on the transaction saying that its board and financial advisor Citigroup reviewed numerous opportunities while searching for strategic alternatives that would create the greatest value for company shareholders. Based on this review, it was clear to SITEL’s board that the offer from ClientLogic represents the best alternative to create significant shareholder value.

The $4.05 to be paid in cash in the merger for each SITEL share represents a 33 percent premium to the volume-weighted average SITEL share price for the 30-day trading period ending October 11.

With approximately 65,000 employees across 28 countries, the new combined entity will continue to be named ClientLogic Corporation. Dave Garner will be CEO of the newly combined company.

Garner contributed that the growing demand for bigger, more complex customer-care BPO solutions requires large service providers with increased geographic presence, capacity as well as service capabilities. ClientLogic’s mission will be to deliver the BPO industry’s highest-quality services, while also providing clients with the strategic insight, scale and diversity of offerings to guarantee success.

The combination of the two companies will create one company with revenue of over $1.7 billion and a diverse client base, service offerings and geographic footprint. Clients will be offered options for on-shore, nearshore and offshore customer care solutions, in over 145 facilities through the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.

The coming together of ClientLogic and SITEL is bringing into one company a varied combination of skill sets, solutions offerings and clients, both current and prospective. The activities of both companies will be enhanced by combining their strengths to come out the more powerful player in the industry.

Clients of both organizations stand to gain significant benefit form this merger as they will be provided additional services and as well as access to greater in-depth knowledge and extended resources to contribute to their long term success. Considering the activities and target markets of both companies, this merger makes economic sense and can be a tremendous benefit for all stakeholders.

Legacy concepts of SITEL and legacy processes of ClientLogic combined will be the main structural change of the new SiTEL Company that will start early March this year.

A new name, logo, and management structure will be launched to all sites but the question remained unanswered whether this will be beneficial to all employees, specially agents.

Your thoughts please...

I heard they also have this "Get together" party with both ClientLogic and SITEL employees this coming Friday at Makati Shang (initially in Edsa Shang, Wednesday)...

The question is, after the party what will happen? Who will be replaced by whom? Who will receive the pink slip? A "thank you - for all your contribution" letter perhaps? Can we expect another high attrition? Let's all wait and see

Hmmm...it's getting hotter and hotter out here...

onewasteddevil@

What if auxes can prove this? Do you know anyone working in CL that wants to be out due to poor management?

auxes@

Following the inverted pyramid is a good sign for agents to be happy, manament addressing all issues and concerns. I'll be happy for you and the rest of the agents if this is true. However, there's always 2 sides in a coin and I guess there are still some who are not happy(basing on the ClientLogic Thread)

kLes02Battousai@

Can you please share to us some of these "grievances" from your friends working in CL?

at least in our account we follow inverted pyramid...we care for our agents.. that agents are communicators..im not sure with outher accounts.

--most of the time if not all, mgmt involves agents.. in decision making.. syempre, sa lahat ng bagay me mga magrereklamo but it all boils down to attitude...

we must consider that theres a lot of things that an employee can be happy of...not just moneytary reward.

but isn't that when you say "at least in our account we follow inverted pyramid...we care for our agents.. that agents are communicators, im not sure with other accounts" would actually portray something like you have no idea what's happening in our other accounts?

you're all under one roof, which simply means you still have to work as one - like you all should have a calibrated process... i mean kahit iba ibang account, isang companya pa rin kayo... and isang account na magkamali, maaring makasira ng reputasyon ng buong companya...

un *** po...

Congratulations to you if this is really happening. Imagine an account with management involving their agents in decision making...astig di ba? FGD is a way for management to hear the side of the common population but this is not a practice for all centers. Usually, a decision has been made, ready to be cascaded by management before conducting a FGD to know what will be the reactions of the agents making it possible to prepare for alternative solution whenever issues arises (ex. high attrition, low morale, etc.). again, this is a decision made by management and not by the agents. If you are living in a perfect whole, then I'm happy for you. It's like living in a real democracy :)

Astig yung party sa Makati Shang kanina… kahit dami ng bloopers ayus pa din!Like you get to know leaders from other sites, mga taong nakasama mo sa previous company mo then magugulat ka nalang kasama mo na ulit! Dami breakthrough! New sites aside from pasig, baguio, libis and pioneer.. new accounts.. but I know our associates still have experience it themselves.

The issue on overall employees’ satisfaction is true to all…kanya kanya lang yan…
Personally, wala naman madaling bagay sa mundo. I’ve been to many places, and along the way I got more and more EQ.*okay*

i just had an interview with sitel yesterday but after the behavioral interview, my interviewer told me that she's gonna endorse my resume to the HR and that i have to wait for their call on monday since its holiday today and tomorrow. She said i can be qualified for a certain account that has only 4 available slots left. But ofcourse, having been told the same thing for like ages ago before a company rejected me, im thinking that i did not pass. But i dont see any reason why they wont hire me.. i know ive been the best applicant in my batch. but i think they lost their interest in me when they assumed (during my interview) that i might leave the company if i go back to school.

question is, i know it is a one day processing in the recruitment office of Sitel.. so should i still expect a call from them?..

kasi mas gusto nila pag full time ka magw-work... mahirap kasing magtrabaho while studying... it will really kill you... trust me! may kaibigan akong nag-aaral while going to work and she became so thin at araw-araw siyang bangag... if the company needs to fill in seats, trust me they'll call you...

I have been with SiTEL for almost three years now. hindi pa nag me-merge nun. I am one of the so-called pioneers nila. SiTel is a good company because of it's Managers, Although there still some Managers that agents feel does not deserve to be one.

In my case, I believe naman in all of their capabilities. I have nothing against SiTEL. Although you cant avoid that there are loop holes to their policies which I think they are continously trying to improve. With regards to the opportunities for growth, there are a lot. All you need to do is to have a proper motivation and if the manager see your potential, you would not need to apply, the managers themselves will convince you and endorse you to be promoted up in the ranks.

Dami pa rin naman silang room for development. Since they are just 3 years in the industry dito sa Pinas and the "New" Sitel is just months old so everything is being drafted kumbaga.

Sadly, I would have to say goodbye to this company, Another BPO company has offered me a different carreer path.

IMHO, SiTEL is a good place to start if you want to have a career in the call center industry. It may not have worked for other people, but it has for me. I think proper motivation lang yan and a good manager.

Sana lang yung assessment nila is not limited to the online exams.*peace*

Pati *** leave credits nag iba na. We have emergency leave compared sa breavement leave that we have before. Tska *** mga leave credits specifically, *** SL and VL are all convertible to cash.

simple lang kasi akong tao at marunong akong makontento..

Isa pa no matter how small or big your salary is if you don't know how to budget and spend wisely, you will not get any savings.

The savings will depend on your lifestyle..

So far ok naman and SITEL.currently im in dell account for more than a year now.I like this account, magiging in demand ka pag galing ka dito sa account nato.mabilis ka matanngap bilang TSR.I tried to apply from other company i was easily accepted kaya lang yung offer nila kunti lang deperensya from what im getting right now kaya turn down ko offer.

maganda tignan sa resume na nagtatagal ka sa mga company na pinapasukan mo kasi it shows loyalty, dedication and commitment sa work.

Anong Department gusto mo? sa Operations or sa Recruitment Department?

Kung Operations, I can help you with that. We had a similar study before wherein our group was interviewed by Mr Bolton, a professor in Stockholm University in Sweden. Di ko lang alam kong tapos na un.

Sitel never fails to amaze me....ibang klase, lateral xfer nio ah, does it mean despite of ur tenure the company doesnt have that confidence in you that they still need to ask you to undergo such things...eh pang entry level yan eh.

tsk tsk tsk

nagkaroon kasi sila ng bad experience before. *** mga bottom performers ng transfer plus lahat tinapon sa sears tska ang pangit ng performance nila... *****.... *** mga lilipat na internal sa sears pinageexam pa... client daw nagrequest nun... bwesit...
