They normally give it after passing training. It can be seasonal or when there start date is several weeks away and they want to give an incentive to the CSR to be willing to wait for several weeks before the start date.

Another thing why it is given is to get staff who have unusual talents or are specialists in certain areas.

so you would like to move to these companies just because of singing bonus? its just a one time incentive and would normally be given after you have passed the training/nesting period wherein you take calls in production...
most of the time, there is a catch like: new hires only or someone who have never had any experience in the call center industry...
there was a time when a certain call center offered sign up bonus/es if you apply from a certain period of time.. para bang promo.. limited time only ;)

ah.. well its a plus, syempre andun din yung compensation and other benefits.. plus what accounts and how stable is the company.. pero yeah, i wont pretend that i dont need the money hehe

yeah nakabili ako.. etelecare and people support ang meron.. parang promo nga, hanggang feb 28 na lang!
