This is the one housed at PBCom, right? How is the working environment there? I had an offer with them, kaya lang they had a 1 year bond for 100k. May bond pa rin ba until now?
Is it true that they send you to Singapore or Aus for training herE?

re: working environment
fun naman and *** metrics ndi ganun ka-strict unlike sa ibang call centers na very strict sila sa metrics. as long as you do your job well, ok yun... magugulat ka nalang na pasado ka na pala. unlike when i was with a tech account sa PeopleSupport, *** iba kong kabatch pinagreresign cuz they couldnt meet the target AHT... sa Citi ndi ganun and this applies to PH, AU and US. ang sa tingin ko lang na minsan kinakagulat ng newbies is *** sa log in time, by seconds and not by minutes *** deduction sa suweldo.
i think the only problem lang o ang ayaw ng agents sa citi is the 100k bond and yes [k]jwan, may bond parin hanggang ngayon.
some of the trainers I know were sent to Australia to be trained for new accounts or for new tools (software). we also have what we call ACE (Asia Pacific Citiphone Excellency... something something...), 3-5 officers are sent abroad for a workshop/seminar/yearly event for citiphone officers in the asia pacific. like nung 2005 sa vietnam then nung 2006 sa australia.
i've been with this company for sometime and so far wala naman akong marereklamo, may office politics yes... pero nasa tao naman yan pano kayo maga-adjust, lahat naman ng cc mapulitika din someway, somehow.

hmm... siguro ndi naman yung tipong sobrang matanda na. marami namang daddies and mommies sa CTP Phil and sa CitiBPS... Yung kabatch ko when I started sa CTP Phil 2 na yung kids nya and he used to work in Congress mga mid30s na ata sya... then nung sa CitiBPS, mid30s din, 3 na yung kids...
salary is 16-18k. OT pay for CTP Phil also includes transpo allowance, 10Php x Km. distance from address on record to libis. (e.g. i live in paranaque on record my distance is 26km from libis so 10 x 26 = 260Php) plus food allowance, I'm not sure if its 110Php. With CitiBPS, 1k allowance/month plus night diff if youre assigned to citicards or us mortgage.

I was with the citimortgage account and I went AWOL right during training bec the people there, even the trainers are not good. The pay they give is very low, and the allowance is 1k... not even enough for your transpo...
Team leader on the floor are too rude and mayayabang, esp this girl na napakataray sa mga agents nia.
Don't choose citigroup. I expected too much from this company, and the expectations did not even come close... Talo.

Yes, my very first job was with Citiphone in Libis. Mabilis naman ang hiring sa CitiBPS, when I applied, I went there around 10am, took the exam and had a couple of interviews, after lunch contract signing na.

right, its under the same umbrella so pwede apply former citibankers. in my case nga ndi ako cleared sa ctp phil (pero nagsubmit ako ng resignation letter sa TL ko) tinanggap ako sa citibps. 2 of my batchmates na ndi naregularize sa ctp phil is now with citibps...

US CHE ACCOUNT NOT GOOD
Citigroup BPS is okay, but if you're going to be assigned to the US account, forget it! I was with the company for more than 2 years, originally handling Australian calls, until I made the fatal mistake of transferring to Batch 1 of US CHE. Management is terrible, nothing like the Citi culture. The 4 Women bosses were friends - all of them from etel, so whatever dirty business one does, the other tries hard to hide. It's so sad this happened to such a good company.

I'm interested in the Australian and Guam accounts. I have no problem doing the early morning shift (2am-11am or 3am-12nn).
How much is the basic salary if an applicant like me has 1.5 yrs call center experience from Etelecare and JPMorgan Chase? And in addition, I have 1.25 yrs BPO (back ofc) experience, not including the back office work we did at JPMorgan.
How much are the allowances and night differential? And how much is the bond?I need to compute and assess my prospects with Citibank BPS.
By the way, what does BPS stand for?

seasoned agents or not, the basic pay is at 16k. increase is once a year, depending on your evaluation.
1k allowance + night diff for US agents.
healthcard, 15 vl, 10 sl.
i've been with this company for over a year now. Part pa ko ng pioneer ng collections(australia).
di ko sya masyado gusto.
the only reason that i'm staying with the company is because of the schedule, pero un lang.

San pwede mag apply pag local account?
cynical_chick
Aug 27, 2007, 10:22 PM
BPS stands for Business Process Solutions.
As for applying for the local account, you may proceed to the 23rd floor of the PBcom tower and state to your recruiter that you want to be endorsed to libis. Applying for the local account does not mean that it is easier. you have to be a graduate of a four year course. and the account is pretty stressful.
with regards to the salary, the Australian account has a fixed amount regardless of experience. while the US accounts can reach up to 20k, depending on the years the applicant has as a call center agent.
With the training bond, yes, it is 100k for one year and it's non-prorated. but of course, you don't have to worry about it if you plan to stay with citi for more than a year.

i am currently employed with citigroup but im planning to leave without formal resignation. I am not happy with the company. When it comes to compensation and benefits its not good. We even pay for our medicard. I've been with the company for 2 months now and most of my batches went AWOL. Team Leaders & Tenure agents are not approchable.
I just want to know if what will happen to us if we go AWOL? is it true that we are required to pay the 100K bond if we resign within a year?
Because I'm planning to resign anytime soon but if I will pay the 100K bond, i rather go AWOL....
I have been to 3 different call center and this is the worst company I ever worked. Imagine the SIL is not convertible to cash & if you unable to used it... only 5 SIL will be carried over next year.
The contract I signed with citigroup has only 2 pages... It was not specifically explained the benefits & compensation. Only the bond and the salary.
I advised for those people who are planning to apply... think a million times because you might blame yourself later...

This is just to let you know, citigroup bps is undergoing a lot of changes. with regards to the recruitment process it will be much more strict. we will be asking applicants to write a paragraph. and we will be checking their grammar and tenses.
it is a bit embarassing to see that there are customer solutions officers, who post their gripes here, where the whole world can read all the wrong grammar, and poor sentence construction.
also, citi is trying to get feedbacks from the new hires. now, there are changes with training and orientation.

why is everyone stressing with the bond? i just signed my contract for the US-cards account. i'll be getting 16k, i dont have any call center experience. my friend also signed but since she has experience already, she will getting 20k for her basic salary.
with regards to the bond, if you don't have any plans of hopping from one call center to another, then what's the problem? isn't it a fact that people from recruitment ask about your future plans during the interviews?
and if the company sucks, i doubt that they would've lasted this long.
actually, citigroup is not totally a call center. it is somewhat a mixture of a bank, and a call center. people from au should know this. Citi does not have a physical bank in au, everything is on line. Thus for the name CPO, citi phone officer, or CSO customer solutions officer. not like CSR, or CCR, kasi nga they are bank officers talaga.

Salary is competitive. We need people with background in Investor Relations and preferably, those who have handled people before. If you are interested, email your resume at:

Hi Guys, just wanted you to know that i've been with CITI for over a month now. I'm with US cards. Ang saya! Todo support ang mga trainers, OMs, CSMs, UMs, pati mga CPOs! HR recruitment, kakaiba din. Di sila suplada, laging naka smile kahit ang daming trabaho.
Wala pa ako sa floor, pero I can attest that we are well compensated. And from what I heard, once i'm taking calls, I could get more than my basic salary in one cut-off. I don't mind the hundred thousand bond coz I have no plans of leaving.
Saya talaga. This is by far the best decision I had made for my professional career.

The difference between the US cards account and the Australian Cards account is the schedule. i believe that the post in Jobstreet says "preferably with 1yr exp". it does not necessarily mean na kelangan may experience talaga. It's just one of the clients qualifications.

Hello,
Citigroup needs Agents for the new US Mortgage Collections Account! Hiring pa lang ng Wave 2 agents and room for growth is really big. This will be on the ngiht shift. Aside from the basic pay, night diff and allowances, there is also an incentive plan for the agents because of the nature of the account. If you are interested to apply, just send me your resume at bellacossa19@yahoo.com.
Goodluck!

Feedbacks is gramatically incorrect. it should be used with a preceeding adjective like "A LOT OF" FEEDBACK or anything that will manifest the amount or quantity of "feedback"... FYI.

The collections account is not hard core by the way. Collection calls are for the not-so-delinquent borrowers only.

how can it not be hard core? you will be calling the customers how many times in a day? Imagine how irritating can that be and all you get are answering machines.

There are no voicemails for the mortgage collections campaign. The dialler is the one leaving the voicemails. :)
And yes, hiring is more strict now, with operations now taking part in the process (not like before when it's purely the recruitment team).

Parang kakagaling ko lang dito (PBCom) ah.. hehe.
Been with the company from Nov 06 til March 08. Why did I leave? Secret. Hehe. Nothing to do with the company.. It's a good place to work. People are nice and friendly.. Asar lang ang HR. But, lately, *before I left that is* a few (good) changes have been happening naman na lalo sa recruitment. *okay*
The so-called doubling of salary is only applicable to the ff:
a) Good in sales (for citiphone)
b) Good collector (for collections)
c) I've already given out the departments I've been with, LOL. :rotflmao:
So.. if you're just the so-so in the following categories, you can always go for the basic pay naman, haha! :evil_lol:
Before I left pala, umalis na rin si Anand--so.. medyo sad na ang place. Ewan lang now. :hmm:

It's ok. We all start from somewhere, lol. :)
Mortgage is under Citiphone, it's inbound. Collections lang naman ang gumagawa ng outbound. :) Siguro there would only be some exceptions para mag-outbound ka kung Citiphone ka, but very little percentage compared to the calls you'll receive inbound. :naughty:
In case you decide to try it, I wish you luck and hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed my Citi experience. *okay*

Yung sa PBCom, yes, it's 100k. Yung sa Libis raw 50k lang yata.
16-18k ang salary ng CSO. Wala pang incentives--and like they said from the previous pages, you can double (or even triple) your earnings.. that is kung pagbubutihan mo. *okay*

What I meant to say was go to Citigroup on the 24/f of PBCom if that's where you wanna work. There's no such thing as "main recruitment office" hehe.
Please know that Citi BPS in PBCom Tower caters international Citi accounts (Australian and US Cards/Mortgage/Collections/whatever) and the one in Libis caters local accounts--they may have international accounts too but heck, I really don't care, my Citi experience all happened in Makati, PBCom Tower.
The recruitment staff of Citi BPS in PBCom normally joins job fairs in Megamall or other malls to find more people. If those who are in Libis are doing the same thing, then good for them.
Do not confuse yourselves with all the blahs and more blahs. This company is a global icon. Being a part of them means being part of a stable, respected and global company.
And I'm no longer with them. Damn. They should pay me for this. :rotflmao:

Yes we still have the bond but it's only for a year.
A year is just a short span of time and with the retirement plan that you can already take advantage of after 5 years, it's really worth it. Medical coverage is also upon hiring.
With the global economic crisis happening right now, I think going in-house in one of the biggest banks is a very good decision. :)

the interviewer told me that they are experiencing "technical difficulties" with their system kaya di ako makaka take ng exam agad..i re-sked na lang nya yung exam ko along side the 2nd interview tapos tatawagan na lang daw ako sa schedule nung exam and 2nd interview
im not being impatient pero 2nd day na wala pa rin akong narereceive na call and im planning to apply to another company na rin bago magmahal na araw...
yung mga nag apply last monday, march 30 pinabalik din ba kayo for exam or nag take na din kayo agad?
sakin kasi ok lang na sabihin na i failed rather than waiting forever sa tawag nila..
and another thing, im planning to apply for us cards pero sabi tapos na daw tapos ilalagay daw ako sa outbound us cards (prang activation yata ng card, not sure) totoo ba na tapos na ang hiring ng US cards? medyo mababa ang offer sakin sa outbound us cards...thanks sa mga input

Anyway, ok ba incentives dito sa citi? aabot ba ng 5k or more? And fixed sat-sun off ba?

For anyone here interested in applying for a dayshift cc:
Which company would you rather work at: 24/7, citibank-AU, or Shell shared services?

The collections account is not hard core by the way. Collection calls are for the not-so-delinquent borrowers only.
hindi ba mahirap ang collections? kasi mukhang dun ako maaassign...thanks sa info

:hmm:
me quota ba sa us collections? pano kung di magbyad si customer, taken against the agent ba yun? mahirap ba yung collections? thanks

i think you are shortlisted..coz the same happened to me but the interviewer asked if i have my documents ready and adviced me to get my cert of employment from my previous employer if possible coz training would start May 11...
i really believe they just need to forward to the TL coz i told the person who referred me exactly what happened and she already gave me advanced congratulations hehehe

OH MY...your bringing up my hopes again....magdilang-anghel ka sana...
the thing is...i dunno if i will take the offer coz of the 1 yr bond involved and the bond amount as well... i worked for 2 yrs in another call center and i really don't get the bond thing. i don't even know the nature of work involved and how toxic it would be in the future and with the bond, leaving the company wouldnt exactly be an option hehehe
so, i'm just waiting for the papers to decide properly.

Hi! Has anyone of you received their call already? I already heard that "spiel" from HR regarding the May 11 start of training... but said to wait for a call... I just got interviewed last monday (april 27)... I asked the interviewer if they are going to call pass or fail, and she said yes... kaso she said i am supposed to received the call yesterday around 10am-12pm... unfortunately no calls...
nyweiz as for collections, actually toxic sya in a sense dahil may monthly quotas... mahirap mangolekta pero yung levels of difficulty would depend kung anong lines of business ang ipapa-handle nila, hardest would be "hardcore accounts" or delinquent for a year and so... easiest would probably be 1 day to 30 days delinquent dahil mostly na-late lang ng bayad yung "debtors"...
im hoping on working here since i've been with US collections for almost two years with a diff company... hope i was able to shed some light about collections :)

i want to ask first, whats the reason for the callback? is that for a line interview? exam? ako rin kasi tinawagan lang ako for interview with tl and computer exam..medyo marami kasi talagang nag aapply sa kanila at di nila kayang i accomodate yung volume ng applicants per day kaya tinatawagan na lang nila...
yup merong training sa may 11 for collections....just to give u a tip, its not hardcore collections medyo toxic ***** pero ok lang trabaho yan eh...
so good luck just wait for the call, basta keep your line always open : )

no..i haven't gotten any call from them through my cel though but our maid told me that someone called (landline) and was looking for me...I'm in doubt if that would be citiphone..'coz that time i've been away in my house and trying to apply for another call center instead of waiting..Time is running out for me so i better move.
But in all honesty,I really wanna work here but unfortunately, NO CALLS YET...maybe i didn't not passed...

If you were indeed for final interview, HR should have given you the date/time of your scheduled interview. During my time, it took 2 days before I got the JO. Sa 2nd day pa ko nagfinal interview.

Hi! Is this the standard basic or does it also depend on the years of experience? Umaabot ba ng 5k or more ang incentives sa AU accounts? Ang appraisal ba umaabot ng more than 15% per annum?

@ freshbabe, replied to your PM.
@ green_grunge: 16k basic salary regardless of your work experience, unless TL or Manager aaplyan mo then you can haggle.
Incentives are variable, if you work hard, more than 5k yun for sure, but I can't speak for the entire company, it may still vary on the department you'll work with and as for the appraisal, I'm not in the position to answer that kasi kahit employees naguguluhan dyan. Hope this helps. :D

Ok naman mga tao dito, work environment is fun pero syempre when it comes to work, they expect that you'll deliver good results. 15 vl and 10 sl are given and no quarterly bonus but Citi provides retirement plan.

HELP!!! Could somebody pls. enlighten me? I've read a lot of negative feedback about Citi BPS in this thread. I just passed the selection process last week but I am having a really hard time deciding if I would push through with my employment in this company.
I want to ask the following about the CSO position for an AU account :
1. What is the job description?
2. With regards to the 1 year bond, in what instances would one be required to pay 100K? (upon resignation before 1 year employment lapses or even upon termination?)
3. How long is the training? Will there be a salary already for the training?
4. What is the dress code?
Thank you very much in advance to those who would be helping me out!!!

may mga instances talaga na di nabayaran yung 100k bond. Pero mas maganda sana if natapos mo yung 1 year para at least wala kang problem in the future.

hi! :) i just got a call awhile ago from an HR from Citi Libis. She offered me the phone officer position.
I would like to know what the job is all about, and the basic salary and compensation before I accept the offer. Is it nice to work at this department?
I told the HR that I would think about it first so she gave me her contact number and told me to give her a call within a week since only 15 positions are open for hiring.
Replies/comments from anyone would be so much appreciated. :)

@ monmonix:
citi libis caters to Philippine customers, so the benefits aren't the same as compared to CBPS which caters to US and AU. The benefits for Citi Philippines are in line with other local banks, e.g. bonuses, leaves, etc. I think the starting salary is 16k, but it may have been changed.

Yup, I referred a friend. And nagstart na siya. So na credit na sa akin yung cash incentives, plus, I also received a ticket for an exclusive show of Harry Potter...shala di ba?
