612 medical technologists receive licenses

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday that 612 out of 1,132 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Medical Technology in Manila, Baguio and Cebu last month.

The successful examinees who garnered the 10 highest places are Randell Santos Arias of Colegio de San Agustin-Bacolod City, who got 86.40 percent; Jerpon Pedrano Viagedor, Southwestern University-Cebu, 86.40 percent; Jan Charmaine Teodosio Palomar, Adventist University of the Philippines-Cavite, 85.903; Cherry Liberty Valiente Reyes, University of Santo Tomas, 85.70; Agnes Flor Delgado, Andrade University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, 85.60;

Daphynie Guzman Teorima, University of San Agustin-Iloilo, 85.50; Jo Bert Bueno Olinares, University of Santo Tomas, 85.40; Roderick Dasco Balce, Centro Escolar University- Manila, 84.80; Alvi Kuusela Tia Bernadas, Notre Dame of Marbel University-Koronadal City, 84.70; Emeli Marie Christy Galindo Ramirez, University of San Agustin-Iloilo, 84.60; and Suzette Antiporta Tucay, Universidad de Zamboanga, 84.50.

On the Board of Medical Technology which gave the licensure examination are Dr. Marietta C. Baccay, chairperson, and Marilyn R. Atienza and Marian M. Tantingco, members.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will start on March 14, but not later than March 28.

The oath-taking ceremony of the successful examinees in the examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Saturday, March 31, at 1 p.m. at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel, One Rizal Park, Manila.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) will start on Wednesday, March 14, 2007.

The top performing schools with 10 or more examinees and with at least 80 percent passing percentage) in the February 2007 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination are Saint Louis University, 100 percent passers; Notre Dame of Marbel University, 100 percent passers; Velez College, 100 percent; Cebu Doctors University,84 percent; and Adventist University of the Philippines, 83 percent.

Jo bert Olinares of UST is my former officemate and he's my close friend as well. partida kasi he's not reviewing at all and a party person pero still he made it to number 6. Im so proud of you Jobs (sana nababasa mo to) haha

I just want to know bakit pag mga board exams ng 2nd sem puro mga provincial schools ang may mga pinakamaraming nagboboard exams?

Most of the students from NCR usually take the board during September. :)

barkada ko top 3..cum laude sha.. *** ceu naman kaintern ko sa vmmc.. um..no comment. hehe;)
