I actually got in! I'll be starting on May 15, 2007 as as Finance Associate. The Best way to apply is thru Jobstreet, but there will be an essay though. I suggest that you make your answer short but direct to the point. I don't actually have accounting background but I think what made them decide to schedule me for an interview is my essay, teehee! Another would be walk-in application, you can visit them at 38th floor Enterprise Tower. I have to warned you though that many of my colleagues was not accepted and up to now we are still wondering why, even though some of them took accounting or business related course.

Starting salary depends on your experience, not sure for fresh grads. I've been working for a call center for 2 years in an in-house call center and they offered me 25k. They are using maxicare (tama ba spelling?) and unfortunately for single, you are the only one covered but for those married, I'm not sure how many of you will be covered and how much. Well, that's it for now, I have to complete my requirements pa.

If you guys know where the link for kiosk (nbi), please help me find it, thanks!

I think you are referring to Deutsche Knowledge Services, not Deutsche Bank as the latter is in Tower One. I have been with the bank for a year and I am absolutely certain it is one of the best places to start and build your career especially if it is in investment banking. It is not so popular in Manila as it does not have the retail banking business, but it is popular worlwide for its participation in equity and debt underwriting and mergers and acquisitions. It also deals heavily with fx, fixed income, and commodity derivatives trading and has won several awards worldwide.

On the other hand, DKS is the shared services of the bank that provides support mainly for the controlling functions of the bank in Europe, America, and Asia. The global rates are consolidated here which are needed for the profit and loss calculations of the bank's branches, and innumerbale reconcilations are also done here. The opportunity to travel abroad is very high since it is in the process of migrating all of the accounting processes of the bank in Manila, just like bulk of the operations ar gradually being trasnferred to Deutsche Bank Operations International in Banaglore..

With regard to compensation/benefits, I think it is just at par with the industry standards. Yes we do have maxicare and the best of all, a PHP90 meal every day:rotflmao:

I got to the bank through the job fair in our school. Tehre are no exams, just four gruelling interviews wuth the last one being a videoconference. I was intervierwed by a British guy basd in Singapore, and it lasted for almost 2 hours:D

Your annual increase is assured, but it largely depends on your performance. You cannot just sit there and simply do your daily tasks and then expect a hefty increase when the annual promotions/increases happen on February. They stress the value of innovation so you have to actively look for ways on how to improve the way you do things.

Do you guys know how much is the starting salary for a CPA with audit experience?

elmo1328
Mar 11, 2008, 10:08 AM
I've been with Deutsche Bank Manila since June 2006 and will be moving to Deutsche Bank Singapore next month.

To Juntrix, I really don't have any idea how much the salary is for a CPA with audit experience in the Finance/Controlling Department as well as for the other departments because salary is VERY confidential, as with other multinational companies.

I will inform you once there is an opening here that requires a CPA license (Internal Audit or Custody) but for the Finance/Accounting Department, they haven't been hiring fr the longest time even though some people leave. I guess it's because much of the accounting jobs are already transfered to Deutsche Knowledge Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of DB that provides accounting support for the bank.

hi elmo1328 =) you're working in Deutsche Bank AG (not the Deutsche Knowledge Services) am i right? In what division were you initially assigned when you first started there and what position did you hold? What's your position/division now? How did you apply and how long did it take to process your application? I already submitted my application over their website www.db.com/careers and has its status as "Application Under Review". I particularly noted in my cover letter that I'm interested in the Asset Management Division. What are my chances of being employed?
