Hi Ada! Thank you for this thread. This will be a great help for us, IBM applicants.

Anyway, I just to inquire if you guys, are also the ones responsible for IBM Business Services Inc. recruitment. If so, are you already processing applications of Certified Public Accountants? I applied this April under the Job Posting at Jobstreet.com but I haven’t received a call yet.

Hi marymargaret_25, I sure hope we reach more IBM Daksh applicants through this forum.

Both IBM Daksh and IBS are companies under IBM Corporation, but we have separate recruitment teams and offer different opportunities.

You may send your question directly to 9naguicm@ph.ibm.com. Or you may send me a PM of your contact details so I can ask them to get in touch with you directly.

Hope this helps. :)

HI,
I applied for a Quality Specialist position and I was already interviewed by Amit Gupta, and then by Anthon Formoso. Elaine Quiambao does a great job in the recruitment department. However, when they tried to call me on April 26th, I wasn't able to answer the call. I tried to get in touch with Elaine, but she hasn't replied yet. I don't know if I missed an opportunity to work for Daksh because I failed to answer that call. I'm already excited to start working for Daksh and I hope I would receive some positive feedback soon.

Hi teancum, thanks for your interest in the Quality Specialist position. I will be forwarding this message to Elaine Quiambao and hope that she recognizes you (as I don't have your real name) so she can give you a call at once. :)

Don't worry, though, because I don't think that not being able to reach you on one call will jeopardize your chances of getting hired. :)

She was probably just busy last Friday so she hasn't responded yet. I suggest you send her an email so she knows that you're still interested in the position.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I applied last April 16 @ IBM Daksh in Edsa Central. I got into the final interview with Ms Eleanor I don't know if I passed but she told me that she will be endorsing my application for the training and that I'll just wait for a call either friday or next week but until now I haven't recieved any call from IBM. Does it mean that they already discarded my application or it usually takes more than two weeks for them to call you???

Hi dimaz, usually, recruiters are able to give information about training classes within one to two weeks from application. However, depending on the availability of training classes that you are qualified for, we may not always be able to give immediate feedback.

Kindly PM me your complete name so that I can follow up on this. Thank you.

Hi arjukai00,

Thank you for your interest in IBM Daksh! Before I can respond to your query regarding the results of your phone interview, I need to know your answers to the following questions:

1. Do you have a college/university diploma? If not, until what year did you finish? We can only process your application if you have completed at least three years in college, or have finished a certificate or diploma course, because this is the minimum requirement for our accounts.

2. Do you have previous experience in a call center environment?

3. Are you willing to work on a graveyard, schedule-shifting environment? Because this is the nature of a call center job, we require that all our CCS/TS applicants will be willing to work graveyard.

During the phone interview, very basic questions are asked, and your communication skills are briefly assessed.

By answering my questions, I might be able to figure out what the call meant. Moreover, if you can PM me your complete name, I can ask Anne why she wasn't able to call you back.

Thanks!

I worked for IBM Daksh and was a Pioneer member for the telecoms account in PBcom. I resigned after 10 months because of the account. Not that its very hard but because its not a technical account. Im an ECE grad and i'm still looking for the technicality of the work. I told HR that that's my reason for leaving and that if there was a tech account where i can be transferred to, id rather not leave the company because I love it there. But back then, there were no tech account.

Now that I found out that there's a tech account i immediately applied online. I'm working as IT Helpdesk and have been working for 3+ years as Tech support.

After a couple of days somebody from HR called me and did some over-the-phone interview... after a while i mentioned I already worked for Daksh before.... she then stopped the interview and told me to secure a referral form from my OM and another letter (i forgot the second letter). I asked her why do i need a referral form? she didn't answer... I told her i resigned and i wasn't terminated.... It's almost 2 years ago so why would i need a referral form? Can I just simply apply as a new employee again? i don't know what's the purpose of this referral form... but i know i can get one from my OM... i am very much willing to undergo any recruitment process you have and i feel i don't need any refferrals... if i need to go back from scratch its ok for me... Please shed light on this... the last instruction she gave me was to call the number that appeared on my phone when i have the letters.... huh???? not so clear and hr was not that courteous... sorry but that's how i felt..... many tnx...

Hi Belzy

The only thing that the recruitment department will be requesting from you is a copy of your clearance and a recommendation from your TL or your OM. This is a standard process for those who are interested to join our company again. Im glad to hear that you are very much interested in joining IBM. Just secure a recommendation letter from your superiors before and also a copy of your clearance and visit IBM's recruitment office personally. Please feel free to call the Recruitment Department if you have any concerns. Hope this helps even if the reply is a little bit late.

Ms. Jen told me that I am too techie for the job I am applying for. And I didn't make it.

I wonder why would be my "being techie" be a ground for not getting an offer.

Anyways, the people at IBM mandaluyong are really nice.

Hi robruiz,

This could probably mean that your line of interest for an IT related position is greater than your interest for the position you were applying for. :) No worries though, this could mean that you're skills would be of great use if you were to use it for any IT related opportunity. Continue looking for an opportunity that you really like. *okay*

You'll never know. :) Always think positive. :)

may discrimination ba ang ibang company?

Hi robruiz,

Not all companies may claim to be an equal opportunity employer. In some companies, especially those outside the BPO/call center industry, a person's age, gender, preference, physical abilities, looks, or even religion may affect his or her employment.

Other times, a company may accept a diverse group, but certain characteristics may affect their opportunity for career advancement. These companies have their own reasons for doing so, depending on the nature of their business, and we are not here to judge them.

IBM - all its subsidiaries here and around the world - believes that there is strength in diversity. We do not stop at simply "respecting" the individual, but we "embrace" every person's uniqueness.

This does not only hold true for the GLBT community.

IBM's commitment and accomplishments in supporting diversity has been recognized worldwide. You may read more about it by clicking on this link:
http://www-03.ibm.com/employment/us/diverse/awards.shtml

We hope you can join us in opening the minds of more people - and more corporations - to nurture a truly inclusive workplace and society.

Hi agent_culie, the compensation package for email support is very competitive. I cannot give you a range, but I can assure you that, as part of email support, you will be supporting either one of the two most popular online accounts and you will be learning a lot. :)

Compensation for email support does not stop with the basic salary -there are also hefty allowances that are non-taxable, making your take-home pay higher.

Lastly, I would like to confirm that yes, there's definitely additional premium for applicants with at least six months call center experience.

Hope this helps you decide and hope to see you here in IBM Daksh!

hi hindi ba pedeng magapply sa 30/f ng PBCOM instead of going sa shaw??? mas malapit ako sa ayala kasi eh. and is there a bond?

Hi deeps,

Our PBCom site is for Operations and support recruitment. You may leave your resume there but you won't be processed immediately. You may also send it via email but, like submitting it in PBCom, it will not be processed immediately.

We strongly suggest you go to our recruitment office in Edsa Central where you will be processed on the same day.

Our site in Edsa Central is very very accessible. If you are commuting, you may just take the MRT (P12) and go down at Shaw station, our office is connected to the station so you won't get wet even if it's raining! You can also take the bus and go down at Shaw. If you are bringing a car, there's also lots of parking spaces here. :)

In case you're from the QC area, we also have a recruitment site in along Commonwealth Ave. It's at the former Nissan Showroom.

Re your question on Bond - No, we don't have any training bond.

Hope this helps!

Hi scentscii,

We're sorry if we could not answer your question right away but we appreciate your inquiries :)

Thanks for applying with IBM Daksh! Just so you know, our qualifications state that you have to finish at least 3 years of college with no backsubjects. :)

We hope everything went well with your recruiter. If you receive a response saying that "you will be called within the week", it means that the recruiter is thoroughly evaluating your application :)

On the other hand, if you didn't make it, you may always apply again after 3 months. Thanks! We're looking forward to seeing you!

Hi, I had my final interview for tech support position last week (tuesday, May 20, 2008). The HR (Her name was Ms. Rhoda) told me, together with the other 2 applicants that we passed it and she gave us the referral slip for medical and the list of requirements. She also said that we'd be receiving a call within the week regarding the job offer (which is supposed to be last week) but I haven't received a call yet. I tried calling your recruitment hotline, but nobody's answering. Just want to follow up. :) I'm a bit worried, coz I really want to work at IBM.

Hope you could address my concern. Thank You so Much!

Have a great Day.

Although we have several email support accounts, we are currently not hiring for this program.

We will make sure to send out an announcement once we are hiring for this position again. Please watch out for announcements on the newspapers, online and here on PEx.

In the meantime, you may refer your friends who are interested in a voice CCS or Technical programs.

Hi figsch,

Although our Operations positions have various schedules which would depend on the account that they are assigned to, we discourage our applicants from choosing a specific schedule assignment. We require that all our Operations members be flexible to different shift scheds (whatever the position is).

For our non-Operations and back office positions, we have several openings that are primarily assigned to the day shift, but may require to extend to the night shift from time to time. Most of these openings require previous experience in the field (HR, IT, Finance Recruitment, etc.).

You may check out a list of our openings at www.ibm.com/services/daksh.

Hi Misschocobear,

I'd be glad to help you. Please PM me your complete name, email address and phone no. so I can send Rhoda your details and concern.

It usually just takes 1 to 2 weeks for the recruiters to give a Job Offer to a candidate who has passed the interview process. But it is also possible that the account that would best fit your qualifications doesn't have a start date yet.

Will be waiting for your PM.

Hi Jonathan,

Please send your resume to hotcareers@ph.daksh.com and indicate "VA Trainer with Experience - Pinoy Exchange" on the subject line. This will help us make sure that it gets routed to the right recruiter.

Hope to see your resume soon! Best of luck on you job search.

hi. I just wanted to know the starting salary of fresh grads applying for the position of financial analyst. thanks:)

Hi VjKatie08,

I'm afraid I cannot answer your question for two reasons - (1) we are not permitted to disclose salary information publicly and, (2) you are referring to a job being offered by our sister subsidiary, IBM Business Services.

If interested to apply to IBM Business Services, you may go to this link (https://jobs3.netmedia1.com/cp/job_summary.jsp?job_id=IMBPD-0158439&lang=EN&mc=5c46fc8097eb0d21d816e4a4fcccaeff&graduate=999&region_id=0&country_id=36&continent_id=4&master_bu_id=0&employ_percentage_id=0&function_id=0&category_ext_id=&subcategory_id=0&keywords=finance&hm_keywords=).

You may ask your interviewer your question on the salary. Although I know for a fact that, as an IBM company, they too offer a very attractive benefits and compensation package. *okay*

Hope this helps!

Hi Ralphiedoods,

Thanks for your interest in our openings.

For entry level posts, we are hiring Customer Care and Technical Specialists. This does not require previous work experience.

Hi veritas,

I'm afraid you may have sent it to the wrong address. IBM doesn't have an office in Cubao, Quezon City.

Here's a list of IBM Daksh's recruitment offices:

Mandaluyong - 3/F Edsa Central Pavilion, Edsa corner Shaw, Mandaluyong City (connected to MRT-Shaw Station)

Quezon City - No. 41 Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City

If you were applying to IBM Business Services, another IBM subsidiary, they are located at the IBM Plaza, Eastwood City, Libis, Quezon City.

Hope you can drop by any of our offices to apply in person. If you come in the morning, you will know the results of your application within the day. :)

its nice to hear that a person from IBM Daksh actually answer the queries being raised here at PEX. I am really interested, however, I have a few clarifications:

1. are these non-voice campaings in shifting skeds?

2. are supervisory and lead positions dedicated for internal hiring only?

3. what sort of non-voice campaigns do you have (i.e. back-end processing, technical, transcription, etc)

thanks and sorry for the long message!

Hi!

I applied at IBM last 08/11 for the position of IT-Technical Support Engineer. I was interviewed through phone last 08/14. Unfortunately, I misunderstood the question of the interviewer regarding the years of my hands-on experience. Instead of saying that I have 8 years hands-on experience, I said more than a year only because I only considered the time when I became a full time freelance computer technician. I just figured out what went wrong after she informed me that the company need at least 2 years of hands-on experience. Is there anyway I can fix this? I checked my Jobstreet account and my application is currently under consideration. Please help.

Hi invest!

Good questions, let me try to answer them...

1. Sales Support Specialist is the actual position title, while Marketing Support/Coordinator refers to the job function.

We made this distinction to set applicants' expectations that, as a Sales Support Specialist, they will be providing support to the IBM sales and marketing team based in the US. Therefore, it is not an actual sales job where they will be going out and talking to clients and closing deals. Instead, they will be helping the sales process on the back office side, coordinating with different units to help complete the sale.

2. This is a back office support job.

It is different from a call center job in that it will entail creating sales documents and coordinating with different technical resource groups to get all the information required to assemble a sales proposal.

It is similar to a call center job in that the support is done virtually - via phone, web or email - because they will be dealing with people based in North America. Like a call center job, this also requires dealing with a lot of people to get the job done, but they do not wait for incoming calls to resolve customer issues.

3. Is it a regular 9 to 5 job or will you be working in different shifts such as graveyard?

It is not a regular 9am to 5pm Manila-time job. Because the Sales Support Specialists will be dealing with people in North America, they will have to follow a US time zone, requiring them to work on the graveyard shift.

4. What office will you be assigned for these jobs? I prefer PBCom sana since I live in Makati.

Great, because this position is based in our Makati office. *okay*

If interested, please send your resume directly to hotcareers@ph.daksh.com, inidicating "Sales Support Specialist - Pinoy Exchange" on the subject line.

Hope this satisfies. :)

I've been discussing this job position with BigBlue on the Pex Call Center Forum. He hasn't been online for awhile so maybe I could ask the same questions to you?

Hi BigBlue!

Thank you very much for being so helpful to us. Appreciate it.

I read that successful applicants will start on Feb 13?

How big is the workforce you'll need for this account?

Will you be strictly following / requiring the 2-5 years of work experience? I only have a combined 1.4 years of professional experience in Ayala Land Sales although i have been managing my own businesses one at 4 years and another one at a one year period. Will this hinder me from getting in?

Thanks again!

Hello again, invest!

Sorry, Big Blue was quite busy last week, which is why I helped anwer some questions.

Successful applicants will be starting on February 13, but we are continously processing applications for future start dates.

Re the no. of people we are hiring for this account, I'm sorry but I do not have this information.

Regarding the years of work experience, unfortunately, the requirement of 2 years minimum is quite strict, and we are really not accepting applicants with less than 24 months work experience. This is a client requirement that we have to follow.

I don't have any details about the status of your application, but if you have less than 24 mos experience, this may be the reason why you haven't been endorsed to the next step yet.

We'll definitely send out an announcement here and in Jobstreet if we are hiring again. :) Hopefully, we'll still be growing the account when you already have full 24 months experience.

Cheers!

Re the no. of people we are hiring for this account, I'm sorry but I do not have this information.

Cheers!

ok, thank you very much! :)

Hi Proud_IBMer

I applied for a marketing support specialist and got a call last Friday, Jan. 30, however I can't talk freely at that time because I was in a bus on my way home. It was so noisy and I was a bit scared my phone would be snatched. Had some experience on that already. So I asked the HR, I think her name is AR, if I can call back in an hour and she told that she'll just call the next day. But she never did.
What would that mean? Am I still being considered or had I lost my chance? Can I call and followup my application? A company already offered a job to me and I only have 1 week to decide. My priority is IBM, so I'm hoping to get a chance if not at least I need to know. It's hard to be left hanging.

Thanks!

Hi to all. New lang po ako here. I tried to apply sa IBM Daksh last January 12, 2009 and luckily I passed the interview and exam. So i try to call again and again. hayyy, hirap prin. Tinamad na ak0. pero buti nkita ko tong forum. Sana matulungan nyo ako na makontak ko sya.
Ang question ko po ay:
Tanggap prin po ba ako even if last january pa application ko? o kailangan ko mag-apply ulet?

anyway, si sir gale po ang nag-interview sakin. at si james hernaez yung dati kong classmate na IBMer din.

Salamat po.:)

Hi Proud IBMer,

I am very interested to work in a call center environment and I did apply for the Marketing Support Specialist position. I got a call this morning from RA saying that I am considered for the position and she asked me a few questions regarding my availability and my expected salary.

I am very interested on this job listing, and I would like to ask a few questions regarding the listing and other stuff related to the job:

1. How long is your recruitment process? What are the usual steps that an applicant has to undergo in the entire recuitment process? Since I got a call, do I have a higher chance of being chosen for the position? What would be the next step should I be considered further?

2. Does IBM offer tax shields?

3. Since I am currently employed in a company from another industry and our notice period is 1 month, would that be a hindrance of me not being chosen for the position?

4. Is there room for career growth for this position, as I am concerned about my career path and stability?

I hope you can enlighten me on these things, as this is the first time that I will venture into BPO industry if ever chosen.

Thanks and regards,
Jayhan

I would like to ask if the opening for the sales support leads is a team leader or supervisory position or if its the same as your job opening for sales support specialist? Also if its the latter, then are there any opening for supervisors for this particular new account or it is being filled internally?

Hi.

I saw an ad posted at BestJobs.ph about an opening for Voice and Accent Trainer.
What confuses me, is the email address provided. It's a personal email(hosted by Yahoo) rather than company email. It also came to a surprise that IBM will post an ad there...

Is this a real ad? Is this legitimate and safe? (please note encircled parts)

http://pic15.picturetrail.com/VOL589/3925000/21821365/360103490.jpg

I want to apply there but it's kind of scary to apply...

By the way, may I also ask if IBM has a bond?

hi HRD,

I'm a former employee of IBM Daksh. I was with Project Livewire before and it's depressing what happened on the account. I could have been working still with IBM but I guess call centers are like that. I still remember the good ol days. I spent 1 yr 11 mos there.

I'm interested to go back because of the non-voice pos and I've heard it's a new account. So my question is can you pm me the work responsibilities? You can refer me. Some of my batchmates are still there on ruby and the other nonvoice aside from livewire. Thanks in advance.

I'll just ** for PM.

Hi. I am interested in working for your good company in the field of Human Resources. You can consider me to be a fresh-graduate or one looking for an entry-level position. I have heard very good reviews from my former classmates who had their practicum with you. I am wondering though, if there is a possibility that you would have an opening for any HR position in the "night shift." This is because I am planning to take my master's degree this coming school year as well as do my best in jump starting my career in HR. Thank you for your time.

It has been a 3 weeks already and I haven't receive a call yet for the Job Offer. I'm now worrying if I would ever receive a call from the company coz I really need a job. Having said that I would like to ask what could be the reason why I haven't receive a call yet and when would I receive a call from IBM?...
