Hi everyone! I am new here in the forum and from Mindanao and working in a large company as DBA. I have more or less 5 years experienced as DBA for Oracle and SQL.

I'm planning to apply a work in Manila, particularly large corporations, with the same position but don't know how much is the expected salary based from my qualifications in Manila. I really don't have any idea about rates for an experienced DBA and I am sure i will be asked for the expected salary once i got an interview.

Anybody have an idea? Even a salary range will be fine.

Thanks in advance!:)

Does it mean the salary you've mentioned is lower now since it was 6 years ago pa? Or mas mababa ngayon cause marami na mga DBA's?

What do you think?

if you're a seasoned dba, you can ask as much as 100K/mo as long as you can manage all the databases.

ang nagpapababa lang ng salary brackets ng mga dbas ay yung mga 'certified-but-never-had-actual-dba-hands-on' experience.
people who can't even write a decent RMAN backup script, who panics when asked to make an incomplete recovery.

it's hard to find good-quality dba-architects. some companies send their good dbas to oracle conventions just to treat them for doing good jobs...
