I think the offer is always depends on what position your applying, and years of experience on that position. I think they can give you your expected salary as long as your qualified.

And about the on-site training I think, It will be after a month or three depending on your performance here offshore.

Just take the MRT and go down to SHAW Blvd station and then ride the jeep besides the Star Mall or you can walk just like what I did the first time I went there. It will take you 15mins if your going to walk and 6mins if your going to ride the jeep.

1. You are being monitored like prisoners "exaggerated" yes two camera monitor you during your 8 hour stay in the office. We are not call agents, we are a software team reporting to Australian client compose of Developers, QA's, and Web Designers(Staff host).

2. Every time your late, you will receive a memo at your desk and you have to explain why the hell are you late.

3. No YM, No Browsing of site not related to your work even during breaks.

4. Job security - Anytime your Australian client can pull out on DelegaIT leaving you hanging with no valid reason at all. Worst case like what happen to us, they will force you to find another work.

But go ahead, the pay is good and good luck with your client.

-- i never had any problems with "authority", example i wonder why our co employees whine whenever the guard downstairs bug them when not wearing their IDs, ??? just wear them di ba?! ^_^

and about the camera's maybe because its my personality i.e. KSP ako so therefore i like it when there are people looking at me specially with cameras. :teehee:

Anyway what ever position you have in any company, its your problem if you will submit to authority or not.

regarding this one, i wish the internet "cafe" here is open during breaks, IMHO in my experience, im an addict in online debating, its better to have these kinds of rules because i can work better without browsing non-bussiness sites even during breaks etc.

In my other companies, i even asked some of my favorite sites to be banned in the firewall. etc.

I agree, but this was a case to case basis, i guess the company should find ways to consider these kinds of circumstances and somehow create ways to avoid having employees to hang etc.

The company could just "absorb" the employee if ever etc.

I've long ago left the world of forum.. coz if ur going to notice, this is my first post.

Anyway, what happened got me interested. It's one of the things that pumps my blood up - having something to say.

Alright. I guess what joe explained earlier is I should say self explanatory - not in the defense of the company but just to set things right. Ah! So rude of me not to introduce:: I am also, as joe is, an employee of this company.

Like other companies, Delegait is of course a concoction of what one could typically find in a "average corporate office set-up." I have my own opinion, but that goes to say we all should be professionals. There are things that one could put some dispute about but if you're going to look at it in a broader perspective, they are but small things to bother about.

In light to the job security thing, I want to ask, can you find me a job opening anywhere that would secure someone for 5+ years? Even the president's position isnt that secure. My point is, it's just job performance. As always, as what happens everywhere.

Ok, probably unfair to say. As what joe mentioned, it's a case to case basis.. and I probably should stop there. I was about to set what happen to me here as an example but I don't want to step boundaries. Not just what happened to me but other staff-hosted employees who got a better work adjustment, because their employers find their staff very reliable and great at what they do. Because yes, I love my job right now, and yes, the pay is good.

To end this, all I can say is, do your part, and make your employer - the client, happy. That's it. (Gat- you have little misunderstanding all this time that you're with Delegait: The Client is NOT your client. He IS YOUR EMPLOYER.)

And I should add that the people here are great. We have some few small stones in the rice bin, but everyone's just great.

Ok I do respect your opinions, and this is an open forum in which people can say anything - We're in a DEMOCRATIC country by the way. Yes, you said it right my CLIENT is my EMPLOYER and just to be fair I HAVE nothing against you guys or the company I'm just pissed off of what happened to us, leaving our stable job and risking it all for our EMPLOYER who happened to LEAVE us in return (Did they explain this to me when I'm about sign the contract)? If so maybe I didn't heard it right. I'm now looking for another work and it is not an easy task either - interviews/exam/sweat and blood, because I do have a family to support and bills to pay.

nice words @gatmaitan... no one deserves to be left out hanging, this happened to a couple of friends of mine from XCCELERATE whose account was cancelled by the client and the next day, they were out of jobs, the client just said sorry, no explanations period. they weren't absorbed by the company but was asked to find another job. they had to start all over again, do the interviews/exams.

I enjoyed my short stay @ DelagaIT, then some personal (family emergencies) problem came, I have 2 full time jobs then, 1 is DelegaIT and the other is Branders,@ first aaminin ko , nasilaw ako sa offer coz malaki talaga and sweldo, tapos dumating yung problema ko (health issues, family etc.) that made me think twice, I was about to leave Branders coz of Delegait offer pero stability din ang gumising skin, naging blessing yung problema ko in helping me decide, w/c company to let go. Observation ko *** is people come and go @ delagait. So I took a lower paying job (pero sa salary standard ** sa pinas malaki parin) with HMO benefits of 250k + covered din ang family ko. For me DelegaIT is still a good company may HMO din sila kaso for the regular/permanent employees ***. I recomend DelegaIT para sa Single and young Professional, pero if your a family man like I am, hmmmm.. madami pa jan they might pay less than DelegIT. If I will be given a 2nd chance to work @ DelegaIT, Ill still take it pero part time *** muna siguro.

@gat - I agree nakakailang talaga yung camera na naka tutok sa muka .. I have a serious case of sinusitis and may habit ako to pick my nose to help me breath .. medyo nahihiyalng ako kase alam kong nakikita ng Client yun. minasan naiisi ko na tangalin ang 2 medyas ko , ilagay sa kamay ko at mag puppet show in front of the camera, kase baka kaya nadon yun para ma entertain ang client hehheheheh..

As for me, Delegait has a unique company set-up that caters to australian clients, what you must understand is Delegait is just a new company that needs to establish its reputation, as for the cameras, I understand what they're doing coz they need to give their australian clients the tools to monitor their employees. that goes the same for the "strict" rules, Delegait should give their clients the assurance that their employees are doing their job. Imagine if you're thousand miles away and paying for a large amount of money, it is just normal for you to check on whether you're getting for what you are paying for. And I don't see why one should be bothered by the rules if they don't intend to break it. every company has its rules, it's a minor thing for me...

Having said that, I also feel for those whose client suddenly backed out, it's true it's not stable, I only realized this when I started to work, but I can afford the risk, lucky for me...for the others, just think of it that you applied for a contractual position and ask for a higher salary to compensate for the instability. that's just the way it is...

Actually, I was an applicant for the inbound sales with email support account[I did email and tech support fromprevious BPO jobs]...after waiting for a looonnnggg time; they called me again to ask if I want to work for the TSR account. When I saw the job requirements - at jobsdb.com.ph - I "chickened out" of the scheduled interview due to the stringent requirements.

Here I am now....working in GY shift again[buhuhuhuhuh hikbi sniff...]...somewhere in Ortigas.

guys any good insights about the company delegait, i had this delegait email telling me that i was on their "short list" and have to answer several questions that includes: am i willing to be trained abroad, what is my previous salary, what is my expected salary etc.., it sounds good but the time i saw/read this thread when i googled the company im now having a little skepticism. i hope bad experiences from the likes of gatmaitan is not true to most of the company's existing employees.

anyway, i personally am not from this company but i have a friend who works here. he told me about the recent issue on a client/employer pulling out of the company. now i understand why the client had to do that, i mean, it's not good business if your employees aren't performing while you're compensating them well enough at the same time.

and "delegaitfraud" is not being fair by posting allegations of such and such without even justifying them. rant lang ng rant pero hindi mo naman maintindihan kung bakit.

well it's true that they are sending people to australia, pero depende din yun sa client. fortunately, isa ako sa mga nakapunta dun...

But i have a problem w/ some of their policies. For one, i was spending my own money! i think they don't have any idea on the cost of living there that's why they think that reimbursing our expenses would be enough. here i'm spending 5k/month, which is less the a $100 AUD. $100 is just not enought to survive in a week, meals are ranging from $8-10/meal(wala pang drinks) and transportation is $7.8/day(depende pa ito sa location ng office). At eto ang malupit, your not allowed to tell your employer of your situation, you are unprofesional if you do that!

For Delegait staff reading this, i have no ill feelings towards you. Maybe you should review your policies, before sending someone to Australia.

Anyway, It's been almost two months since the last time I visited so there. Well to start of, how could I say good things if I am not to relate my own position here. Because yes, fortunately, I am indeed lucky. Now, I cannot indulge my whole experience. But just that, here in Delegait, I am now working for my second employer. They found me another when the former company I was with pulled out the account because the business closed. Now I'm just content with what I do, because in the work that I do, It's much more fulfilling.

Yes travel in Sydney could come some people's way like the several others who have been there and are currently there. But as for me, If ever the opportunity comes, why not right? Though now I'm just happy here - hey, the beer's cheaper here. Working here, is i think just Ok, you go to work early, you get to go home early, assuming you dont have any over time. hehe. you could also have the choice if you asked your employer if you want a flexi schedule.. but that depends on the work load that you do.

Anyway all in all, it's ok.. yet still is probably sa swerte din. Maybe Im indeed lucky enough that both employers (my immediate bosses) are so accomodating and kind. They're simply great to work with. heck if you check my attendance, I'm almost always late! but you know what, Aussies are so frank yet never heard a single negative feedback from them. Maybe I just have a really wonderful working relationship with my superior.


Well, as for the people, I'm almost everybody's friend here. Well Im the one hopping around. hahaha!

This company is Delinquent starting from the bosses (check if the managers have proven track records in their fields), Delinquent from suppliers (blacklisted sa mga PC/ office suppliers coz of bouncing checks), delinquent sa Australian Embassy, Delinquent sa landlord (3 months delayed payments sa condo), and most of all delinquent sa mga employees (di nag-reremit ng mga Taxes and government mandated benefits while deducting in your gross salary), check their records on DOLE for the previous and pending complaints.

wow... thank God for this post. I am up for my second interview next week. The first one who interviewed me was a general manager of a certain "client". She said that I managed to finish the interview with flying colors. Now, I am really decided not to pursue my career with this company.

back in january 2006, they tried to recruit me when i was still with my previous job, they called me on my phone for a phone interview.. ( syempre pag phone interview nagpapasiklab tayo sa interviewee coz thats the only way that they can gauge our proficiency with the english language diba? hehe)

About sa security sa Job... I believe secure naman dito, once an Australian client ends their contract, like what happened to mine, *sip sip mode* ehem, IF you are already a regular employee, the company will still find you a new Australian client and they are really doing a great job specially _____ and ______. ^_^

Also, although im not connected anymore with that client, my boss, i mean ex-boss there is still my friend, maybe one day they will need my services again or take me to Aus etc. Lots of possibilities.

Its going to be your choice if you want to resign or not. Well i like it here so im staying as long as possible.

masasabi ko ***, its definitely an employee's right to be retained esp. if he already has a permanent status. and even if one is till on a probationary term, its still the company's responsibility to find clients for him. and its an excuse na maganda dito or malaki ang sweldo... well its true. pero hindi *** compensation or good working environment ang factors to make one stay. BENEFITS dapat. and also some other company perks which are being neglected by the company. for one, a company that has 70 employees or more must have a company nurse or at least me clinic. those are safety and occupation health standards na dapat iconsider or should i say sundin ng delegait. another one's a suitable rest area for the employees. naturingang me sleep room but how can u feel comfy there if its like a bodega or a chimney without proper ventilation. well those are just simple things being neglected by the company. there are a lot more larger issues and deficiencies that they need to put attention and action, like employement contracts...

For the Dele insiders, it's obvious I didn't bother hiding my identity. I just wish I discovered this thread before I entered the company, it would have heeded the red flag.

On my 1st week, I've overheard a baleful of disgruntled remarks but kept my objectivity, even going as far as defending management esp. Cristina. Akala ko sadyang mga reklamador lang mga emleyado. Sorry, I didn't know better then. At least now I understand why. Although, I'm glad I made the judgement post facto and not based on hearsay.

The discovery last April 08 that the company was delinquent in its SSS/PagIBIG/PhilHealth remittances as far back as 10 months yet deducting "contributions" from the employees' paychecks and the outright lying to my employers that the keylogger doesn't catch passwords were the dealbreakers. Those were main reasons I left. The lack of integrity and the seemingly underhanded maneuvers.

It's a shame. The vision and concept of Delegait as a staff host is wonderful. It just needs to observe legitimate and fair business practices, able and ethical management, a well-defined properly-staffed organizational chart, efficient operations guideline and reasonable transparency.

Kung wala sila, who's running errands for everyone, then its more difficult to work here... they deserve utmost respect by everyone. we need more people like them in this firm in place of huge crows and vultures ready to devour us... to suck our bloods and energies in order for them to exist in an age where pre-historic creatures like them no longer rule the vast continents.

well, I dont know if I share this same sentiment with others, but you what, really I love delegait. walang halong kaplastikan.. and I think people all do. It's just a shame to think na sayang, this could have been such a perfect place to work in kasi the people are nice, para talagang family. People could attest to that, kaya may mga taong api na ng management, but hell, they're still here when they could have chosen to leave nalang sana para walang issue diba? But that's not the case. Ako I love what I do here as an employee, I love my company. Walang halong kaplastikan but this is the best working place I've been to when it comes to considering being with the people I work with. 2) vision and mission statements are actualized while
3) striking a healthy equilibrium between business objectives (profit and productivity) and business ethics
4)with efficient management and staff commensurately compensated for their service and performance.
