hello mommies,

i have a problem with removing food residue sa tongue ni baby.

very diligent naman ako sa pag linis ng tongue niya, i make it a point i-wipe off ko sya after every meal kaso lately naging busy napabayaan ko sa lola nya itong task na ito. one day na notice ko *** breath ni baby di maganda ang amoy den i discovered namumuti *** dila nya kasi *** food nanikit na at hirap tanggalin. ang worry ko baka maging cause ng pagkasira ng ngipin nya.

any advice on how you handle this. may brush ba for tongue, gels na pwede ipahid para madali matanggal sa dila *** dumi?

*** baby ko 2 mos pa lang sha so basically she just feeds on formula. what i do is,i see to it that she drinks water right after having her formula para mawash off *** white residue sa tounge nya.

i think the culprit could be the antibiotic i used last week nung nagkasakit ako. breastfeeding kc si baby so maybe i passed on some of the meds via my milk.

may check up sya today, hopefully we'd be given answers

thanks a lot mommies

Yeast usually shows up after antibiotic treatment so malamang thrush nga yan. I'm not sure if masakit ang thrush.
Usually after antibiotic treatment, my doc would prescribe for me and my baby to go on probiotics to prevent yeast infection.

I remember pala when my son was on antibiotics during his stay in Pinas, Dr. Chen prescribed Daktarin (generic name: Miconazole) just in case my son develops thrush. Thankfully, he didn't naman because he was also on probiotics at that time.
Check also sa diaper area kasi usually if may thrush sa bibig, it could go sa diaper area din.
Take care din of your breasts para hindi nya ma-pass on in case thrush nga. And ask your doctor about probiotics para protected ka din. Good luck! :)
