My baby is almost 8 months old. and we assume he got this from a very unsanitze yaya...
To mommy's out there.this how it started..
At first i he he had an mosquito bite (that's what i thought) located n his upper right lip. then days passed by it started tolook like a pimple. days after it has become a wound. i thought it was just a break out due to change of weather. also, he has diaper rash
(which we thought) before the redness come out.then 1 day, he noticed theres a redness around his mouth, hours passed he had redness out his eyebrows and neck. so i brought him to the hospital. he was prescribed with antihestamine and topical medication. when we got home, the redness keeps on progressing. It spreading all over his body. so we had to bring our baby to the hospital... the first few days in the hospital our baby is so irrated.. the rash was all over his body, to a point you can tell his in pain everytime i carry him.i can touch his armpits, his bottom area.i had to carry him using a comfort. sobrang nakakaiyak talaga tong nangyari sa kanya.
so there... the first assumption of his pedia he got this Steven Johnson Syndrome. This disease is very serious. But Thank God he was diagnose Impetigo.
Kaya mga mommy, pag ang baby may mga weird na redness sa body, bring them kaagad sa hospital. or better yet be more conscious sa pagiging sanitize.
What is impetigo?

Impetigo is an infection of the skin caused primarily by the bacterium Streptococcus pyogenes, also known as Group A beta-hemolytic streptococci (GABS). Sometimes another bacterium, Staphylococcus aureus, can also be isolated from impetigo lesions.
