dear pexers,
badly need advice from you guys ...
Currently, I am a DBA and databases handled are Sybase, MS SQL Server and Oracle. I have plans on working abroad (probably asian countries singapore, malaysia, etc) , to pursue my interest in working as a full-pledge DBA (specially Oracle). Just last week, someone from a multinational company called and asked me if I'd be interested to join their team. Their building a SAP team and they'll be providing training on ABAP and BASIS. Asked me on what particular field I'd be joining but honestly, I still have to do my research on both (ABAP and BASIS). My dilemma is, if i want to pursue my dba career (specifically outside of the country) and turn down the SAP thinge, would I be missing a BIG opportunity?
P.S. the person also told me that they need people to handle the migration of databases that SAP uses (from informix to Oracle etc)
