I just recently (this august lang) accepted an offer with the company na talaga namang ok ang work sa akin, IT support, ok naman ang mga kasama ko..

just last friday I received an email from accenture saying that I'm for interview, OMG, this is the company na tlaga namang di ko tinitigilan sa pagpasa ng resume kahit nainterview na nila ako ng dlawang beses noon, after a year ngpasa pa rin ako..last May I received a couple of emails from them from different HR personnel saying to pass my updated resume, I attached my resume noted with that I want an ASE position..this was also the time that on going ang process ng application ko with my current company as IT Support..I've waited for accenture till the first week of July the day I accepted an offer with my current company..ngayon it's my fourth week with my current company, considering na Software Company din ang current ko but my position isn't a developer, I'm with IT Support Dept, supporting branded pc's of the company..

my dilemma..

1. i don't know if i'll accept the interview invitation:
If yes:

besides my current company allows a 60-day notice prior to the effectivity of the resignation. I heard that the start date at accenture eh medyo intermittent..natatakot kasi akong mabakante..

If no:

i don't wanna miss this opportunity to be a programmer..as i said, ilang beses n ko nagpasa ng resume sa kanila to achieve my goal..what if I tell them to put my application in active and after a specific date let say after my probationary period with my current I want to continue my application with them..

god, please help, I dont know how to answer their email..they didn't know that I already accepted an offer from another company..

another thing, im not getting any younger, as of my age dapat alam k na ang career path na gusto ko, wala namang pinipiling edad pag career shifter ka di ba? besides my work and course is within IT Field pa rin..

Hi Kicks,

Unless your current company has bound you with a contract, you shouldn't feel bad about resigning early. Think of it this way, if you stay with them and in the future you get another chance like this, chances are you wont be happy with your position and you'll resign anyway - by that time, they've come to depend on you and your resignation will cause more damage.

As for the interview, I suggest just go to the interviews while you work for the IT Support company. If you pass, resign, if not, you got a fallback :)

wala namang pinipiling edad pag career shifter ka di ba?
Depende sa career. I'd rather not see a 40 year-old ex-programmer turned sexy star.

If you do get accepted sa Accenture, they'll tell you your ideal starting date. You can mention to them the 60 day notice. If the starting date is less than 60 days away, time your resignation so your last day lands right before the next batch starts. (provided Accenture will let you join the next batch instead) That way you minimize your "vacant' period.

What do you think?

Ito lang sa kin: Kung wala kang bond, go ahead, since developer is your real passion. But try considering kanin's last post. ;)

Muztah, li'l bro?

I'm sure they'll understand. :)

I used to be with Accenture kickers878129 as an Assistant sa BPO nila. From my experience. After exam, may phone interview then ok na.

hmm nga pala they didn't tell me from their email the position they're considering me to. i have suspected that it isn't an ASE position, palagay ko BPO ito..iisa lang ba ang HR ng accenture? sa Libran House? mapa BPO or ASE position?
