I've been working for five years na - in 4 companies na...I just resigned last month and magstart na this Sept 3, with ANOTHER company na naman - my fifth company. So that means five companies in five years hehehe. I only stayed for 3 mo, 2 yrs/2 mo,1 yr/7 mo, 6 mos. Beat that? Ewan ko ba sa sarili ko, madali akong mabored esp. pag routinary ang work. I am a business management grad. and working in a shipping company as QMA (oh well nagresign na ko, boring kasi sa quality eh). This time, asst. crewing na ko, i hope na magkaron naman ng kulay ang career ko. dapat ***** nag police na lang me or sundalo para exciting ang career ko, tingin nio? :

i think that's not very good esp from an employer's point of view. maybe you should re-assess your career path.

I have the same situation. I graduated in 2001. I've had 6 jobs in 6 years. Not because I keep getting laid off or fired, but there's always a new and better opportunity presenting itself to me everytime. Just couldn't resist the offers. Now I work for an oil company. Hopefully this is the last, but I'm not yet sure. I said to myself that if ever there would be another one, hopefully it would be in another country.

It actually depends on you. When you're young, try to consider every opportunity. Good luck.

I wonder if being a job hopper would somehow paint a "negative' portrait of yourself that would make any HR personnel put a serious doubt on one's loyalty to a company? the reason why I'm still here in our company, the first job I had since graduating from college, is due to fear of being labeled as a job hopper who can't stay in a company for a long period time and partly becoz I'm afraid to be a bum again.. hehe :) although actually gusto ko ng magresign hehehe

Me kasi, i will not leave a company if i feel that i have the chance to grow professionally. Everytime na magstart me in a new job, i always try to assess if my relationship with the company will be a two-way traffic - meaning, if pareho kaming magbebenefit, if sabay kami na maggrow. God, i did not finish college para lang magpaalila sa kanila! During the job interview, they will only say good things about their company, they will just give details what the applicants need to know. Kaya as applicant, ala ka pa rin talaga alam sa kanila unless you are already working for them.
And pagdating sa career, im not really afraid of losing a job. I believe, maraming trabaho if magtyatyaga lang talaga. Why do i have to waste my time in a company, if sooner or later eh aalis din ako, or if im not really happy with them. I have officemates na tumanda na dun sa company, ang dami nilang complaints, but they don't have the guts of leaving the company since ala na ring tatanggap sa kanila. And i don't want to be like them...sayang... lost opportunities
I have friends na gusto magstay in one company lang...They are afraid na umalis sa "comfort zone". They said, maiiwan kasi nila *** friends nila, gusto nila kasi malapit sa bahay, gusto nila *** routinary work, and mahirap daw kasi bagong pakikisama na naman kung lilipat sila, etc. For me naman, mas maganda un in terms of networking, making new friends, new challenges...
Ah ewan, ganito talaga ko eh. But i have already set my mind that before i reach the age of 30 settled na rin me in one company, At least, by that time *****, na explore ko kung ano talaga ang gusto kong mangyari sa career ko...:)

No single job is ever perfect. The more jobs you've had the stronger the urge to nitpick because of what you've already "seen". That said sometimes it's better to not know what you're missing.

Umaabot ka naman pala ng years sa mga companies mo dati eh, di na masama dun. Kesa naman magtiis ka eh kung ayaw mo na nga. Sayang yung buhay mo dun, di mo na maibabalik yun. :glee:

I've had two jobs since graduating last 2006. Ngayon eto, nag-aaply ulet. :p Now i have this urge to go back to school. Hehe. Why not?

Whatever that means. I'm not making any sense.

I kinda feel the same way in my I graduated last year and worked for a call center after 9 months I left, I'm currently working at a new call center and entering 7 months but I feel saturated already I'm assessing things and I want to resign but I feel I should give it a bit more time pero talagang wala na akong motivation para magwork...:(
