It seems that the people who decide on this guy's pay pay have regained their sanity.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - After a zero bonus in 1999, Walt Disney Co. Chairman Michael Eisner nabbed $11.5 million in bonuses for Disney's financial rebound in 2000 on top of his $813,000 annual salary, according to a filing with regulators.
Disney's results for its fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2000, improved on solid advertising revenues at its ABC and cable networks after weak sales of home videos and other consumer products hurt Disney's earnings in 1999. Disney's stock rose 39 percent during the fiscal year to about $37.50, but like other media companies, its stock has fallen back as the TV ad climate has soured. The shares ended at $31.56 on the New York Stock Exchange Friday.
Eisner's salary, bonus and other compensation, which includes stock options, have been closely watched since 1997 when he received over $560 million based on his exercise of stock options, before taxes and expenses.

Maganda, maganda. Taas ah. Matanong nga kita kung okey lang. What company or line of business are you in and ano ang position mo?
Curious lang ako dahil maraming companies even yung hindi "dot-com" na nahirapan last year. A lot of my friends only got "less-than-stellar" bonuses. Maybe because most
of my friends are "software consultants" which was hit very hard last year.
Yada: taga-Smart ka ano???

I used to work in Makati in a real estate firm. Tuwing pasko, hanggang 16th or 17th ang bonus at kung minsan pag nalasing pa yong pres. sa x'mas party, nauuto pa na dagdagan yong bonus. Meron ding grocery.

Walt Disney Co Chairman and CEO Michael Eisner didn't receive a bonus for fiscal 2001, the second time in three years that the Disney chief was denied bonus compensation because of the company's poor performance.
Disney President and COO Bob Iger wasn't given a bonus for 2001, either, according to a proxy filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. According to the filing, the Disney board didn't award bonuses to the executives primarily because of the nearly $900 million in charges associated with the closure of the company's Go.com web portal and other charges related to the elimination of 4,000 Disney jobs.

The 13th month pay was set by DOLE to be tbe minimum bonus for all employees both public and in private. This should be given on or before the 24th of December.
If your employer failed to give you this benefit, you can file a case against them.

WorldCom wants former CFO to repay $10M bonus (http://www.usatoday.com/money/telecom/2002-07-05-bonus.htm)
JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — WorldCom Inc. filed a federal lawsuit Friday against former chief financial officer Scott Sullivan, who was fired after the company revealed it had improperly accounted for nearly $4 billion in expenses.
The battered telecommunications giant is demanding that Sullivan, 40, pay back the $10 million bonus he received last year.
The suit was filed in U.S. District Court in Jackson.
Michael Wallace, a Jackson attorney for WorldCom, said he could not comment on the suit.
"I am not authorized to say anything about it," he said.

No 13th month pay although I still get royalties. Overall, the royalties (in total) are much better than a month's pay, they just come in every 3 months.

Walt Disney chiefs earn $16.9M bonus (http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story.asp?guid=%7B5184990D-934A-42DA-A37C-6305A7248EA9%7D&siteid=google)
Eisner, Iger awarded extra cash in 2005 for performance
By Ruth Mantell, MarketWatch
Last Update: 10:46 PM ET Jan. 11, 2006
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- For fiscal 2005 the current and former chief executive officers of Walt Disney Co. earned a combined total of $16.9 million in bonuses, according to a regulatory filing.
On Wednesday, Disney (DIS 25.56, +0.24, +0.9%) told the Securities and Exchange Commission that Michael Eisner, who served as chief executive officer until Oct. 1, received a $9.11 million bonus, in addition to a $1 million salary. The company said Robert Iger, Eisner's successor, was paid a $7.74 million bonus, on top of a $1.5 million salary.
When evaluating the subjective component of Eisner's bonus, who served as CEO for all of fiscal 2005, the committee considered factors such as: the successful opening of a theme park in Hong Kong and the former CEO's substantial contribution to "an effective and seamless" management transition.
When evaluating the subjective component Iger's bonus, Disney said it considered a variety of his "accomplishments," such as the continued growth in the media networks business and his focus on strategic initiatives to drive growth, including internal reorganizations, technology initiatives and international expansion.
For fiscal 2004, Eisner received a $7.25 million bonus, while Iger receive a $6.5 million bonus, according the filing.
Disney shares closed at $25.56, down 0.95%.
