Hi. I was wondering if there are any call centers which offers chat/email support only. And if you are applying at a call center with voice and non voice accounts, do you need to indicate in your resume that you are looking for email/chat support only accounts?

I am btw a nursing undergraduate.

Thanks.

hi im working for a non-voice account and when I applied for this job, i indicated that i prefer to be assigned to a non-voice account. Ok lang yun. Pero syempre dapat may experience ka na. If it's your first time to work in a call center, sa voice ka talaga nila agad ilalagay unless may opening for email/chat and na-exceed mo naman expectations nila that you can perform well as a non-voice agent, pwede ka pa rin..

There is a lot of centers that has non-voice, companies like NuComm, IBM Daksh, Sykes even Convergies has a non-voice, so you'll just have to know their recruitment office.

good luck people......

I talked to a friend who applied at Intelligraph, she said that 700+ emails is not really a sort of requirement. She discussed this matter with people from that company and she learned that the actual requirement would only range from 400-450 emails, but of course, agents who will be hitting higher than those numbers will surely get higher compensations.

The account is quite easy since you can response with a one or two liner email as long as it is good enough to answer the question itself. So i personally think that getting the numbers would not really be that hard, but it seems that it is really a tiring (but possibly a rewarding) job.

Moreover, they have deleted their old job post in jobdb.com, i am not sure if they already found the right people for the job or they just modified the job ad.

You may use the site's "search" option and look for email support job. You will find your self reading a slightly modified job similar to the old Intelligraph job ad but the name of the company is not specified.

I checked JOBSDB, they just modified the ad and changed the name to "The Advertiser", but if you look closer, the new ad still has the link for the previous ad.

They might have realized that the 700+ email thingie has scared away potential applicants.

Anyway, any idea on what the basic compensation for this job would be?

Thanks.

Hi guys. Thanks to everyone who replied. I was just wondering how the salary in non voice accounts compare to that in voice accounts?

In my resume, I never indicated that I would like to apply for a non voice account. Do you think I should indicate this information in my resume? If not, then should I say that I prefer a non voice account before or after the interview? I am just concerned that the interview process will go differently for voice and non voice accounts.

How about the training process? I know that when you have a voice account you'll be trained on American accent and culture. Well how about for non voice accounts, what would the training be like?

I am coming to Manila on November 9th and I would just like to be prepared. I previously joined a call center training school here in Zamboanga city (GQE). They were apparently hiring for Qinteraction (RainMaker). However, on the third day of the training I quit and decided to just go to Manila to look for a job. I had a negative experience in that training which made me think that I can't handle a voice account.

I hope you guys can help. Thanks in advance.

Itll be better if you indicate. Im currently working as an email support representative kasi gumaya lang ako sa katabi ko. First time ko kasi mag.apply nun. Ang quota namin 80 emails per day although mejo complicated. Kailangan ng probsolving skills. Ibaiba kasi *** quota. *** friend ko sa dati nyang company, hundreds *** quota kasi almost copy and paste lang.

Nagapply ako sa isang company months ago. Di nakalagay sa resume ko na nonvoice ang preference ko, dinala tuloy ako sa voice, which turned out to have equal compensation with the email account. Kaya, I turned down the offer.

Bottom line: Make it clear na you prefer to be in a nonvoice account.

Nice observation there...Tnx for the Info..

Bydwei, she said that she was initially given an offer for 12.5K PHP for the job. Pay will get higher as you produce more mails.

Some email accounts can offer you as much as 15-18k. excluding expereinced agents compensations.

She turned down the offer since it is possible for her to get the salary range (or even more) by doing lessser emails.
