anyway, what do you mean by planning to stay there at 1 year? hehe..

OnT: I used to work at BSP. Not in the same field as yours though, so I used to be in a different department. I heard na maraming from SGV peeps na andun. Workload: Madami. As in weekends (sat and sun) nagtatrabaho ako sa bahay.madalas pumapasok ako sa office ng sabado. (sa dept namin yun; don\'t know sa other dept). Culture: Shempre gov\'t; expect na mapulitika :) Nasa iyo na iyon how you will adapt to the culture. Benefits: Sobrang ok.

All in all, as far as I can say, challenging ang work dito and madami kang matututunan. Expect na ma-OT siya. hehe..

how do you apply sa BSP? walk-in ba? Na-curious lang hehehe :D

mas maganda yata may backer dito. May kilala ako na mag-sstay lang sa auditing firm for less than a year tapos lilipat na daw siya BSP. may "tita" daw siya dito. so i guess ganon nga ang lakaran dito. I applied for an auditor position with BSP, pero dinedma lang nila :D

to kotsch: i mean planning to stay in SGV for a year or until busy season ends. talaga, ma-OT din dun? yun pa naman ang ayaw ko kaya nga i can't stay longer pa sa auditing firm... anyway, san dept ka? sana sa accounting side, hindi ma-OT. hehe. what do you mean sobrang ok yung benefits?

to paggi10: really, bookkeeper 35000? tapos yung cpa 25000? parang dapat baliktad haha. ma-OT din kaya sa accounting dept? what do you mean sobrang ok yung benefits?

thanks!

paggi10, yang salaries ba na yan for newly grads? how about pag experienced na?

To Juntrix: ok lang mag walk in but just like what amirah said, mas better kung may kakilala ka sa loob para masabihan ka agad ng openings. In my case kasi friend of a friend of a friend (layo na no? hehe) ang nagsabi na may opening sa field ko. Pero take note, wala sa website nila yung job opening for that position. Kasi mandated yata yun by the Civil Service Commission na kailangan pag may idadagdag kang tao o bagong position e may kaukalang job opening na pinost para dito. something like that ;)

to philo: I'm from IT dept. Benefits are ok kasi i believe they are offering good retirement benefits to their employees. They have good medical benefit as well and they have other allowances to offer such as transpo, meal, rice subsidy, etc. And loans can be easily availed if in case you want to purchase a house or car.

@philo_buff

gusto nila new hires with 2 years experience na agad? hindi ba pwedeng with experience lang hehe... wala ng period limitation. ma-OT ba daw sa finance/accounting dept? or 8-5 lang talaga? sana 8-5 lang... yun kasi ayaw ko sa audit, yung OT at ON.

according to my classmate, at least one year experience daw (dahil may backer siya). sabi ng reliable source ko (retired employee of BSP), at least 2years experience, maganda na ang position na maiooffer sayo. workaholic kasi itong source ko. so it's really possible na madaming OT. napansin ko lang, yung client ko din naman ngayon sa audit, late na rin umuuwi yung mga accountants :) pati saturday may pasok pa yung iba.

Dec 8, 2007, 12:31 PM
so i need a backer... hehe. marami kasi kong professors sa economics nung college na sa BSP din nagwowork, probably i could ask for their recommendation. i would research pa on the working condition sa bsp... if ma-OT din ba... ganon. kasi, the reason i'll be leaving SGV talaga is because of time and energy, although i would admit that i learn a lot. actually kahit di pa 1 year ang stay ko sa SGV, marami na kong nahandle at natutunan. but i wouldn't want to risk almost all of my time and energy only for work.

paggi10
Dec 9, 2007, 08:40 AM

Dec 9, 2007, 10:50 AM
i think you don't need a backer if your a CPA. they are constantly looking for a bank examiner. and i think they are in need of IT peeps. Walk-in lang or send your resume on-line. what they are posting in there website are a true vacant positions. Medyo matagal lang talaga ang process and of course marami competition.

i knew a lot of people who get hired on there own, meaning without backers. with regards to workload, i think it depends on what department you'll be in. :-)

philo_buff
Dec 9, 2007, 12:40 PM
isla ka pala paggi10. hehe. actually, di pa naman ako nauubusan talaga ng energy, siguro by jan-april baka maubusan na haha. let's see where the busy season takes us. akala ko kasi before sa audit firm, di naman exage talaga yung OT... pero now i know nung pumasok ako. haha. just need some training, and off i go. haha

to jaz_rina: thank you for the response. how's the salary there? if i'll be going into the finance/accounting dept, basta yung related sa economics/accounting courses ko, how much kaya pay? maOT kaya sa dept na yun?

jaz_rina
Dec 9, 2007, 04:23 PM
Goodluck

Dec 9, 2007, 04:41 PM
haha @philo_buff. parang takot na takot ka sa OT ah! :) sakin ok lang naman basta well compensated at yung reasonable naman yung OT. yung tipong kailangang kailangan talaga. kung ppag-OT everyday, as in a few hours of sleep or no sleep at all, how could I function well? shempre apektado rin ang quality of work ko. at shempre health reasons din. tanggap ko naman na matrabaho talaga, sa laki ba naman ng ipapasweldo esp. kung bagong pasok ka sa company. pero shempre iba-iba ang standards natin. what may be enough for me may not be the same for others. no other way of finding out except subukan :)

its about anti-money laundering thread, right? hmmm... i think, the bank uses credit card info to check the character of their applicants. i think its part of their CI but, i don't think it has something to do with anti-money laundering law. as far as i know its for bank clients and not bank applicants. :)

haha. hindi naman ako takot na takot sa OT. i just don't want to experience OT again if i leave SGV. yah, medyo reasonable naman nga ang OT sa audit firm, pero not high pay, alam mo naman yun diba. kaya lang naman ako nagSGV para matuto... kaya nagtitiis na lang muna. yung sa bsp, pinag-iisipan ko pa. marami kasing greater opportunities na iba din. btw, san ka ba nagwork?

Hi guys, thanks for all the tips and discussions about the working environment at BSP.

And he wants me to replace him kasi pagod na pagod na siya. Excited na nga magretire eh. Biruin niyo, pasok niya 6-6, minsan nga 4 or 5am pa yun umaalis. Saturday halfday lang naman yata.

I'm an AB Economics fresh grad, half a year of experience na part-time pa. Ayoko naman ng masyadong strenuous for my first job, I might give up early hehe

hello! I've been applying there for the past three years and sending my application from time to time whenever there's a job opening posted online..but up to now there's still no update re my application though I know that I'm qualified for the positions. Normally, it's true that the positions posted has already been filled. I really wanted to be part of the organization but still haven't got the opportunity because I don't have networks inside that could help me out regarding my application..or even referral that could recommend me.. hope you could give me an advice on what to do..they already have an accredited agency but i don't know if i should undergo such risk to have an opportunity or to be absorbed by the company.. any suggestions or advice from all of you will be highly appreciated.. thank you...

My mom have been working there for more than 20 yrs now. She actually replaced my lola and wanted me to replace her in the future when she retires. I'm having second thoughts though coz we have the same salary already. I'm also thinking that I have to start all over again and could be getting a lower pay but I'm also concerned about my retirement. I'm from the call center industry and as most of you know, call centers usually don't have a retirement plan for their employees. Any thoughts from you guys will definitely help.

Hi,

Does anyone here work for BSP as a bank examiner?

I am going to undergo their medical examination next week. My concern is on how long would it take from the medical examination to the job offer. They already took five months to process my application. I just want to have a heads up because I also received an offer from another company.

jaz_rina
Nov 1, 2009, 03:14 PM
Hi Dalwin... better ask the HR about the status of your application. Honestly, it could take another five months or less. I knew people who have been ask to have their medical exam since July but until now she haven't receive any call from HR.

No harm in calling the HR. I believe that they are all accomodating. :-)

Thanks jaz-rina.

I was discouraged by the additional five months or less processing. Anyway, I asked the HR and they told me to expect a call three days after the medical exam is done.

Ang daming nagpapamedical lately. Most of them are bank examiners.
