I suppose this topic doesn't call for anything specific, so I'll just put down the first thing that comes to mind...

In many offices around town, the last working day of the year is usually celebrated by a round (or more) of alcohol - beer, wine, scotch, whatever. To all of you, may you drink moderately and arrive safely home tonight, and may you return to work on January 2, bright-eyed, smiling, punctual, and ready to deal with the new year.

as a rejoinder to kuya danny, may all of you see the new millenium as another dawning of history: like a caveman holding his club; looking at a strange, new landscape in the aftermath of a cataclysmic meteor impact.
