share your thoughts...

Call Centers give out signing bonus for applicants to join them. i've normally seen 15,000-20,000. Yes, that amount is very enticing but what happens after?

I havent received a signing bonus yet from any call center so i wouldnt know but beyond the intial amount, does the company you've joined give a career plan for you after you've signed? Also, is the bonus really given? how long before you get it?

If you have experiences about this topic, do share your insights.

Nice retention practice. At least if one really wants to get the signing bonus, then he will stay for a year if it's given quarterly.

Is the signing bonus enough? eh what if mababa naman yung basic pay mo - - also, i question those call centers giving a signing bonus -for me, it means they cannot sustain their people kaya pera ang pangtapat... just my two cents...

signing bonus? eh bakit hiwahiwalay? false advertising? akala ko pa nmn, pagkasign mo, bigay agad ng bonus.

is this taxable? baka yung 20,000 maging 15,000 na ***.

Initially signing bonus have no tax but it is included on the total bonuses including your 13th month. So huwag kang mag taka kung ang 13th month and other bonuses mo malaki tax.

Parang 1 month advance lang ito. These are usually done by call centers with high turn-over alam nyo na kung sino mga yun.

alright...thanks for the info.
So i guess signing bonus is a good indication that if a company needs alot of applicants, daan sa signing bonus? not a very good bonus if you'd dig deeper.

i think several companies advertise that they have signing bonuses during quarter 4. if you'd get the chance to grab a sunday newspaper, there are alot of signing bonuses. you just have to ask - "whats the catch?"

i think sign-in bonus is a come on for applicants lalo na kung kailangan nila ang pera. the problem is it takes time to be able to get it.... whether in cash or check (cross checked) pa siguro.

CC's who give signing bonuses usually tie you to a mandatory contract stretching sometimes up to 2 years or more. You can't resign during that period but they can terminate you for cause.
