Of all the IBM here in the Philippine pinaka $ucks in planning a party is IBS (IBM Business Services). How I miss those BUs party ng Daksh. :(

We had our IBS Xmas party Dec 01. naku! sino ba nagpaparty ng Dec 01??? :eek: Weird diba? di man lang anytime after Dec 15. Our theme is Hollywood. Our party is held in Tiendesitas and it's inside an "under construction" mall fronting SM Hypermart. Take note "under construction" yun building. Usually if you go to a party, the entrance to the party should be decorated, right? Well, in our Xmas Party, the entrance is just the very very plain glass door of the buidling and it's very very dusty and NO decoration of whatsoever that lets you know that it's the entrance to the party. When you enter the Dull dusty glass door, you'll find yourself stepping on a cement floor. Remember under construction pa yun mall. Then you'll find 3-5 human size banner of IBM, the same thing is used on job fair. **Boring** As in no Xmas feel or whatsoever. I thought I was going to a job fair at that moment. After taking 10 steps, you'll find yourself standing on a very old dirty maroon cheap carpet. Kasi nga Hollywood yun theme kaya kelangan meron Red Carpet. The place is horrible! Dirty, icky, smelly and very dusty!

Sound system is VERY HORRIBLE and the program $UCKS!! If you sit on the first 2 row, pwede na, you can hear them but not clearly. If you sit from 3rd row to the back, wala ka na maintindihan. They have 2 host, one guy and one girl. I can make out what the guy was saying once in a while but the girl host My GOD!!! Even when you put 10 microphone infront of her mouth di mo pa rin sya marinig. she talks like a bird! The sound system is for the judge and the front row people lang. There were no speakers in the middle or at the back to allow people to listen to the program. I find it ok na rin coz the program $ucks. People were performing their dance numbers w/o any spotlights and when they finish dancing that's the time they open the spotlights. Weird... CD was jammed and cannot play. Basta ang gulo gulo..

One thing that makes me walk out is the food. The food are pasta, rice, i forgot the 2 viand but it's so Pinoy lutong bahay na hindi masarap. Also, Can somebody explain why the food is put infront of the aircon??? :confused: :angry: Even my dog would not eat the food they serve. Seeing the food and try to force myself to listen and participate in the horrible program for 15 minutes is enough to make me run out of the venue. :grrr:

For our Xmas basket, it was less expensive compared to 2006. We have the usual ham and bola, however in 2006 there was red wine while last year they give a small bottle (like a 12oz. bottle coke) of Margarita. While in the same building, other company have basket that cost twice more than what our office have to offer. Nakakaingit!


Lastly, I'm not blaming the people behind who plan the Xmas party. 2007 Xmas party is organized by the IBM Club members. Actually nakakaawa nga sila, coz they are just an employee like me who works 9-10 hours a day. It's just so happen that they are part of the club and they were the one assigned to organize the party for the whole IBS employees. In the first place, our company should have an Employee Relation Team like IBM Daksh and other big company out there. this group of people should be the one to organize parties, and doing employee relation job.

I hope this year kumuha sila ng tip from Daksh on how to plan a party. haaayyy..nakakadepress!!:(

hehehe... well I think nag cost cutting sila kaya sa Nov 16 yun Xmas party. at least kung nag cost cutting sila sa Party, they give more sa xmas basket. Yun sa amin, nag cost cutting na sa party, nag cost cutting din sa xmas basket. wehehehe....:D
