For all the headhunters out there, the Philippines has the best call center employees in Asia, WORLD CLASS. Above that, the best usually are expensive, but not in the Philippines. The costs are reasonable and negotiable...its a win-win solution. Do not hesitate to hire a pinoy call center employee, I can guarantee (even if I put my career on line) that you'll get the best results with a professional positive attitude and a very versatile personality.

^^singapore kasi is a first world country and some americans/british/australians are racist/look down on third world countries. if you are in a call center industry then i'm guessing you have received calls from customers who would want to cancel their business/subscription/order simply because customer service is in a third world country such ours.

Same thing parin, it's still a person outside of their country... And they don't really care kung India, Phils or Singapore, ayaw nila pag nabosesan nila or nalaman nila from ASIA ka... hmmp...

Sometimes the headhunters - with Singapore branches - would even contact the prospective candidates themselves! Ikaw pa ang hahanapin ng trabaho and don't need to go to Singapore or even apply for a job to be noticed.

This is usually the case with specialized financial reps like SAP professionals, and Series 7 Securities professionals [bond and stock brokers]. Pay does not go below the equivalent PHP 200K/month net of tax. Even the benefits would extend to immediate family members and would even include board and lodging.

Companies doing this are US based banks with global operations.

For almost three months, this thread has not yet received any entries from headhunters/recruiters. Too bad.

I just overheard a CSR here in my company as she broke the news about her getting hired by an agency, Ward Howell (spell check?), for a SG-based call center. But I do not know the details yet. The agency has been hiring agents since last year.

Anyone here knows if support positions are open in SG call centers for Filipinos? Particularly posts in workforce management?

I agree with pinoynetwit re: headhunters doing their own research.

Also, I think the main reason why Singapore is preferred over the Philippines is not a racist one. It's more of infrastructure and relative political stability.

The risks of establishing a sensitive operation such as private banking is greater than transplanting a few qualified Filipinos to a nearby Asian country. But that's just my two cents.

Dudutdutin nila pati laman ng friendster and blogs that their prospective recruit has...pati mga postings niya sa mga internet forums dudutdutin to gauge the person's unusual talents and character that make he/she stand-out from ordinary recruits - complex hobbies and interests, ability to interact with prominent people who have strong personalities[intuitive and intelligent conversation skills as he put it], thinking out-of-the-box, integrity. That is from a headhunter manager who is my friend. They even google the recruits full name on google and yahoo.

The point he emphasized, is why would they hire ordinary people with ordinary character and capabilities if they can get someone who has unusual drive to excel and not easily "swayed" by the crowd. Besides, the person gets paid a huge salary and they only want to get the best.

Try googling your full name on yahoo or google. It's not surprising you'll find something about you posted in the net. Was surprised even my photohosting site appeared when I did a name search.

Try Edi Staff Builders.

If you are interested to work in Singapore, una, hanap ka ng head hunter sa Pinas, usually kelangan mo magbayad ng placement fee which is equivalent to 1-2 mos salary offered by the company. 2nd, if you're not willing to pay for the placement fee, then, apply for EPEC,para makapag-job hunt ka sa Singapore for 1 year. What you need: Large amount of pocket money (around 50-100k), that includes airfare (roundtrip), accomodation for one to two months, fare, food, etc.. , your original docs and lastly confidence, confidence and more confidence! Good luck!

jobstreet and jobsdb... monster.com ... st701. com... like you... nagrisk din akong pumunta dito to look for work... nun time na pagpunta ko rito medyo madalang... kaya it took me 5 weeks bago magkaroon ng offer.

ika nga... haba ng pisi... confidence sa pagbebenta ng sarili... malaking chance na ma hire ka...

lakasan lang ng loob... nagdecide ka na rin lang pumunta dito.. itodo mo na...*okay*

Your mind’s influence is not just limited to improving your emotions, skills and physical body. Your mind can influence theworld outside your apparent physical control.

In other words, your mind can spawn amazing coincidences to move you towards your goals. The coincidences could be things that were seemingly unconnected to you and beyond your control.

good luck na lang guys...i don't think this is the time to pursue a career abroad. since everyone is affected by the global economic recession, medyo shakey ang trabaho everywhere. diba madami nang napapauwi from HK, Taiwan, and soon - Macau? Alam ko sa SG nag-start na din sila mag-lay off ng mga tao eh... So, stay put na lang muna and wait for things to improve.

IMHO
