to be an awesome web developer, you must be really good with the following;
1. HTML
2. Javascript
3. Perl/CGI
4. XML
5. ASP/VBScript
6. PHP/MySQL
7. Cold Fusion
8. Adobe PhotoShop

9. Visual Basic
10. C++

two things, zimdude:
1. access to your site - there must be millions of websites on the net. how do you get browsers to look up your site?
2. tangible efficiency - now that you're swamped with orders, are you sure you can handle that big a volume? when you advertise on the net, you're liable to expose your own operating inefficiency.

Depende kung anong klasing developer ka. Here's a
short guide:
1. Client Server/Presentation Tier Developer
- HTML/DHTML
- Javascript
- ASP/JSP (Active and Java server Pages)
- ADO
- XML/XSLT/SOAP
- Apache/IIS
2. Middle-tier type developer
- Major understanding of #1 and #3
- C++/Java(Javabeans/EJB)/VB(COM/COM+)
- OOP methodologies
- Understanding of transaction servers (MTS,BEA Weblogic)
3. Back-end Developer
- Oracle/SQL Server
- Stored Procs/Triggers etc.
- Database Normalization
- Database Tuning
4. Lead Web Developer
- Basic knowledge of #1-3
- Basic knowledge of creating web servers or
web farms(UNIX, Win2000 Advance server)
- Clustering
- Major knowledge of N-tier architecture development
5. Architect
- Major understanding of #1-3
- Major knowledge of N-tier architecture development
- UML
