I'm moving this to The Working Filipino so it gets the attention it deserves.

Some marketing-related issues have been raised here in our very own PinoyExchange. They can easily be amplified into a true thesis:
1 Basketball Teams as Promotional Tools
Are the sizeable sums being thrown at professional basketball teams justified by their (purported) marketing and promotional benefits - you should be able to go wild with numbers here.
2 Online Advertising
Suggest simple statistical measures for effectiveness and efficacy of online advertising. Apply these same measures to real-life experiences of online advertisers and determine if it is a better use of money than traditional modes (print, broadcast, etc.)
3 Online community
PEx is the live case here. How can we use this community as a marketing tool? Are there comparable (successful) examples in other countries?

Brainstorming...
Marketing in the New Economy
-different mindset
-using old marketing ideas or tools in the new economy: will they work?
Online Marketing
-will this be enough or is traditional marketing needed for support?
-how can you determine if the prices are justified if there are no standards set?
Identifying revenue streams for content-driven sites (aside from online advertising)

Green Archer, where are you taking your MS? I heard La Salle is offering MS in Marketing, but there's no info on it on their website. I'm really interested.

I've always been interested in cocooning. Is it much of a threat to the retail sector, particularly, shopping malls and entertainment?

I believe cocooning refers to the phenomenon in which people choose to spend leisure time at home instead of going out to shop, dine, drink, or get entertained. In this age of online shopping, food delivery, home entertainment systems, the internet, and bad traffic, there is less incentive for people to leave their homes.

to Kuya Danny and apostle,
thanks very much. yung nga lang, ang ina-prove ng prof ko is... U.A.I. study of Filipino Consumers on Carrier and Condura Air Conditioners (of a certain appliance store)
what do u think? what's the significance of a U.A.I. study if we're only a retail store? diba that will benefit the manufacturer?
