kayo ano ginawa nyo after grad?

THANKS

*** sakin, dapat maghanap agad pagkagraduate. kc, sayang naman yung kikitain mo if ever mahired ka agad diba?

besides, mas maraming opportunities sa mga time after graduation. ( sa tingin ko ha.)

I guess it depends on what you want to do. For me, right after I graduated, I went backpacking around Europe for about 2.5 months thinking it would be the only time I could do that without being tied down to a career.

personally, magrest ka muna. This will be the last time na magkakaroon ka ng summer vacation so enjoy. Take a break, like a week or two, even a month before buckling down to serious job hunting.

ako pahinga muna ng ilang buwan kasi in the months of april, may, june and july usually walang masyadong mga hires ang most companies dahil nagpeprepare sila for fiscal year start/end.

Based on experience, September ang malaking chances na maraming job opportunities.

nag "hiatus" and traveled around Europe for about a year

otherwise the answer is a big, big, big, big YES!!!!!

I started looking for a job before graduation, and took four months before I found one I liked. I got my share of rejections and "don't call us, we'll call you." In the meantime I had no income, no allowance, and little savings. To fund my expenses my mother lent (not gave) me money, which I had to repay when I started receiving a salary.

I never felt as powerless and unsure of myself as I did during those days.

ako, pahinga and hanap ng work sa internet at the same time. nakakaloka ang maghanap ng trabaho. pero parang nag-iba ang ihip ng hangin. medyo, natitipuhan kong mag internship muna. sana matanggap ako.

yup definitely. puwede mo naman kasi sabihin na magbreak muna before start. like in my case, got offered a job which i liked feb, before grad. pinayagan akong june pang magstart. pinapayagan din nla upto november pa magstart. so doesnt hurt to start hunting early, once you get offered, you can always ask for some time off before actually starting. para secured ka na.

I was in my 3rd year in college when I started looking for a job online. I was also crazy about PEX TWP Forums and this (http://pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82624) particular thread helped me a lot. I started a month after my graduation. I will be on my second year next week. Don't waste time, and I hope you take this advice.

i think it depends. for my case, I have to review first for the board exam which is literally after my graduation (May). upon passing the board exam (November), i felt exhausted that physically and mentally I am not prepared to work. so I rested it out til December ( 6 weeks). Come 1st of January I started to search for work which lasted until March when I landed my 1st job.

Rest. Huwag magmadali. You'll be working until you retire, anyway.

Hi orange18,

First of all, congratulations for a job well done. :)

Kung hindi ka pa naman 'required' na magwork (err.. meaning your family is financially adequate), I suggest that you take your time in looking for a job that best suits you. The pay may not be very big at first, but at this stage, experience naman ang habol mo sa work eh. It's important that you LIKE what you are doing, otherwise you will not be enthusiastic about your job.

And when you finally found that best 'first' job, break a leg and do your best. Don't forget to treat your family on your first paycheck!

Good luck... :)

1-2 months, even three months ng pahinga, for me, treat mo na sa sarili mo. wag lang masyado matagal, nagiging stagnant talaga brain mo pag ganun. :)
