Hi. Just curious, why are officers not entitled to overtime pay? What's the reason behind it? As per law, doesn't it require overtime pay for work in excess of 8 hours?
Are officers also entitled to holiday pay?

let's talk outside the "legal concept" but more on efficiency and just plain career management....
you are an officer
with great benefits comes great responsibilities (or something to that extent)
meaning, if something gets to be done, get it done, no matter what time ka aabutin sa office.... *peace*

While it is generally true that overtime pay is given for work in excess of 8 hours as per Article 87 of the Labor Code:
RT. 87. Overtime work. - Work may be performed beyond eight (8) hours a day provided that the employee is paid for the overtime work, an additional compensation equivalent to his regular wage plus at least twenty-five percent (25%) thereof. Work performed beyond eight hours on a holiday or rest day shall be paid an additional compensation equivalent to the rate of the first eight hours on a holiday or rest day plus at least thirty percent (30%) thereof.
However, this must be taken as a whole when looking at:

As below:
ART. 82.
