Have you ever been out with the guys tapos biglang pasimpleng yabangan about work or sa work? Like, this is what I do? Or this is what I bough with my bonus, etc. Kakainis kasi minsan. Yung yabangan ha, not the sweldo. So small lang sa kanila. Lol. Hahaha. :rotflmao:

Young people who recently joined the workforce are mostly the ones who have the tendencies you mentioned.

On topic: I am guilty of this when I was young and still naive about the industry I am working. At hindsight,I was too pre-occupied with the salaries and the work/projects that are glamorous to gain experience with. Several years later, I came to realisation that compensation is directly proportional to years of experience, academic background, technical and practical aptitude to dealing with problems, and a deep sense to sound business. I am now appreciative of colleagues who are doing the 'dirty' works of the projects because without these people, nobody's gonna do what needs to be done, even if they are just small and less glamorous things.*okay*

this is common to call center agents lalo na dito sa amin sa ortigas, emerald avenue, dubbed the call center district. lintek kung makaorder akala mo libo ang inoorder 39 meals lang naman sa jollibee, at ang yayabang pa ha pero mali mali naman ang grammar. there was a time nga while wating for the elevator, naka ipod touch yung isa at yung isa naman ay naka n95. kwentuhan sila, dumating yung isang kasamahan, at biglang banat na hey pay me 100 bucks coz i need to buy my meal now". ang mga langya, wala palang pera at nangungutang pa. feel lang naming mangasar ng ka officemate ko, ginawa ko sa harapan nila dinukot ko ang wallet ko syempre nakita nila yung mega daming credit cards, membership cards at sangdamukal na 500 dahil kakawithdraw ko lang ng bonus noon. kuha ako ng 10k sabi ko sa officemate ko, pare pasensya na ha, di na ko makabili ng regalo sa inaanak ko, bahala ka na dyan. hahaha, the guys were drooling and mega irap samin. syempre pagdating sa ofc mega bawi ako no. hehehe...

I have stopped telling people about my salary when I reached TL level in our company. Reasons?
-The salary increases in our company are dependent on the annual rating. And our annual ratings are determined via a very, very competitive process. Para walang samaan ng loob, my officemates and I stopped asking each other about our salaries.
- When you reach TL level in our company, malaki na ang differences sa salary. Nung baguhan pa lang kami, ang difference ng increase namin would be hundreds lang. Ngayon, malaki na. Para walang inggitan, we have the don't ask don't tell policy.

Or you can also invite your supervisors, especially when evaluation time is near. When they hear you bragging about how much you make, they might decide you're happy with what you receive and hold the line on pay adjustments. *okay*
