I've been working in Australia for 3 months now and I can say that the working environment here is very relax and it's the best working place i've ever been.
Previously I worked in Singapore for about a year and just move here last Feb 2008.BTW, Im an IT and my manager here is not what like I have before. My boss is as technical as I am and they can do exactly what I can maybe even more.
The thing is if you get too busy with your client you can actually ask you're boss here to do some of the other stuff like going to clients for health check if it's needed. In return he can also pass his other activities to you if you're not that busy. Boss don't just sit here and give instructions and sign papers they do work as well. But we normally go home on time or even earlier.
Please share your experiences as well.

I just started this feb so the initial pay still applies so I can't disclose it. If you want to know the salary range here go to this site. www.peoplebank.com.au. There's a salary survey there for diff. IT positions. Also this is a headhunter company.
Im not a permanent resident here im in a 457 visa my employer sponsored my working visa. For the no. of years depends on what the company requires but i guess it's generic that minimum 3 years experience in your filed is required even other countries requires that.

almost 3 months I should say I came here last end of Jan and started working 1st week of Feb.
IT is not that hot but it's the 2nd most in demand job now. Accounting is the flavor of the month or year i guess. Dont ask me why I just thought so.
You might wanna visit this site www.philippines.com.au for other opinion. It's also a forum site.
Process of going here I dont know cause most of my friends here applied for PR themselves when they are still in the Philippines. But for me I was sponsored by my employer so I just provided the documents they ask me to plus medical within 3 months I got my visa.

I;m currently in Western Australia, and just like what they say, sobrang ok magwork dito..dito sa WA,more on mining ang nakikita kong in demand jobs, hindi masyado *** manufacturing...
Environment is great, people are way far discipline compare to Filipinos. Yung range ng sweldo ok ****,depends sa field..
Marami na kong nkilalang pinoy dito, ranging from Forklift operators, ***** $26 /hour.
I'm working as an Engineer support for oil and gas and mining plants,

luckily i was sponsored by my employer. Im on my 457 working visa. If you are on 457 visa you can only work to the company that sponsored you no sideline etc.
Tourist looking for work here doesn't really work that way here unlike other countries like Singapore as they look for your visa first before they entertain you.

hi bachelor_zone!!! Did you just use the website - www.peoplebank.com.au for applying for a job there? I've just noticed that all of the job say that you should have the right to work in Australia. I don'y have any Visa yet. What I only have is passport and other docs. Do you think that I will still be qualified? Please PM me or post your reply.
Thanks!!!

anong ibang option for visa application if not Skilled-Indiv Visa ang a-applyan mo? like ang objective mo is to be legally a (permanent) resident of Austtralia and once approved for that visa, dun lang maghahanap ng work pagdating sa australia?
