I am posting here to ask help from fellow pinoys to help hardworking abused individuals of this company - below is a few details/injustice made by this company and reading and spreading the word is all you need to do to help, hopefully this will reach the authorities:
Mining Company Rapes Environment and Its Women
MG Mining is known for its under-the-table deals with the government for their Coal operating contracts, illegal mining activities, cruelty to its employees (including yours truly), and unpaid debts to its contractors and other businesses it has dealt with.
Recently we have stumbled upon an office email from one of its mining sites:
"I am a concerned employee at MG Mining Bislig City. It is about the abuses of our big boss at the basecamp. He is very cruel to the people and most of all he has no respect for our women. His sexual advances to our new female employees are horrible and intolerable. He has no shame in giving malicious words and physical advances, when onetime he sent all the staff at the messhall out leaving only one female staff. There he said he was wearing no underwear to the poor young female staff who was so helpless she cannot do anything but cry. This is only one of those miserable events with this monster Basallo. (Ricardo Basallo Jr)
I have written a very long expose regarding this stupidity and I intend to send copies to the local and national media, DOLE, CSC, DSWD, LGU, DOE, the church, parents of the poor women, etc. There will be pictures, recorded conversations. Surely this will spark outrage, I don't care. You are trying to rape our environment, there can be an excuse for that. But for trying to rape our helpless young women has no forgiveness."

So there.
Ricardo Basallo jr. has been an employee since January 2008, and has helped the company with its revenues since. To quote another site: "Basallo noted that “total sales revenues as of first quarter of 2008 exceeded 2007 performance of mostly doing incidental production.” For this reason, the owners of the company (soon to be known as Sultan Mining and Energy Development Corporation) cannot afford to lose Basallo and would rather turn a blind eye to the situation, like how they usually do.
MG Mining is owned by Frederick De Venecia Lu (a nephew of the Philippine Senate's speaker of the house Mr, Jose De Venecia Jr.), and is (mis)managed by his wife, Mrs. Romina R. Lu. (see picture)
