I'm 38 years old, a comp. sci. undergrad (from the late 80's), and a former traditional animation artist with 5 years of experience as an assistant animator. I stepped into a call center for the very first time on the 15th of February at around 10 am and left the company premises around 5:30 pm with a job offer as a TSR for the Toshiba account.

So, what's my point? Why don't you just step into one and take an exam and find out for yourself. We really can't tell you which company is easier to get into. Just go out there and do it. And if you fail in your first attempt, well, there's always another company to set your sights on.

smooth hiring process, after a day or 2-3 days JO na,
i find the exams easy, (NO PRO-SPEAK EXAM/ IVR exam),
may phone simulation, i find phone sim easier than
ivr(inter-active voice response) exams, pro-speak exams... :)
hindi na ma-shock masyado yung fresh
grad.

PS: not necessarily mean that i was employed by ALL the companies (i mentioned), 2 lang dyan naging employer

madali lang makapasok sa sykes i was surprised na madali lang makapasa sa exam yung pananalita mo lang talaga dapat mo ayusin. hsbc convergys madugo dun. teletech pinaretake ako ng exam yung sa english. accenture yung psychological exam di ako nakapasa sa phone test. jp morgan chase di ko pa nasubukan pero sabi kailangan me twang yung accent. people support di rin ako nakapasa me computer simulation exam sila di ako nakapasa probably dahil baguhan ako sa call center wlang kamuwang muwang. gusto mo madali sa sales basta bumenta ka lang dun at maka quota ka.

cvg hsbc natry ko na medyo mabusisi sila. accenture sa akin madali lang within the day you applied makakarating ka sa final interview (ewan ko lang job offer kung yun din araw na yun) after lunch pa ko nagpunta dun yun nga lang nung tinatanong kung magkano sahod mababa yata sila mag alok kasi nung sinabi ko ideal salary ko 12k sabi ba naman can you go lower than 12 nung sinabi ko 11k can you go lower than 11 and can you imagine how much they paid tiger woods to be their poster boy for accenture tapos tumatawad pa sila. teletech pinaparetake ako ng exam at sabi ng isang nakausap ko co-applicant pabalik balik ka mabusisisi daw.

gurl, i think hsbc and jp morgan chase ang talagang mahirap.. but with 24/7, cvg and teletech medyo madadali lang.. do not know with accenture.. actually, kahit saang call center you have the chance to pass as long as you are showing confidence....during interview, avoid too much fillers(uhm, ahh), just be spontaneous and make sure that you are honest with your answers because even if you are excellent with your communication skills but they figured out you're lying, they will still be hesitant in recruiting you..:)

24/7>>> kasi naman sa 24/7 biased sila, either dapat may exposure ka sa technical & dapat nakatagal ka ng more than 6mos. sa previous employer or maximum 6months. Pero same account or exposure sa technical account priority nila. Yung mga previous employer mo na nakatagal ka ng maximum 6mos., eh bale wala yun, dapat recent employer. Sa newbies or other industry applicants...

(i don't know kung choosy pa rin sila?!! Mga kasabayan kong OFW eh ligwak initial pa lang dati.)

Sa People Support madali lang din....nagpunta ako ng 11:00am by 3pm tapos ang buong process pati final interview. Pinabalik na lang ako ng 7pm of the same day for the job offer.

Sa dami ng naapplyan ko, pinakamadali para sa akin:

1. Teletech - medyo madaming exam. madali interview. pag pasa mo final interview, papamedical ka na (shouldered by the company)
2. ePerformax - kanina lang toh, sa job fair. interview on the spot, may endorsement nq for training, online exam ko sa monday.
3. eTelecare - initial interview (phone), 3 exams, 2 more interviews.

Pinakamahirap for me *** CVG though masaya naman **.. Umabot ako ng final interview, pero umuwing sawi..

Yung sa sykes, hindi kasi ako naconsider. Told me they'll call around 6pm if ever, to schedule me to the next step, but I didn't receive any.

Yung friend ko hindi siya nakapasa sa training ng People Support kaya lumipat siya sa Convergys. Ngayon, mataas na position niya sa Convergys. Yung isa ko namang friend, hindi din nakapasa sa initial interview ng People Support, sa etelecare siya nakapasa. Tingin ko depende lang din sa gising mo nung araw na yun hehe. :)
