hello pexers!

may 2nd interview ako last june 3 sa isang printing company near my residence. then after which, i received a call yesterday (june 12) from HR,requesting to submit my TOR sa office nila kasi ipapaapprove na daw nila papers ko sa Manager nila.

Question: kung sinabi ba nila na ipapaaprove na nila papers ko, it means na ur "IN" or pasok ka na sa position na inapplyan mo?

then may another situation. last june 9, i received a call from my sister (who now have a business in Samar) asking me kung may job na ako, and I told her wala pa. Then she asked me by July 15 punta daw ako samar to manage her business kasi hindi na nya kaya kailangan nya ng kasama.

The position is Marketing Coordinator. Kung pipiliin ko naman sa sister ko sa Samar, medyo may mga isasacrifice ako like my parents, special someone, makakasama ko sister ko,my niece and my brother in law, medyo yung expenses din lesser kasi sagot ng sister ko gastos like *** pang lunch and may sweldo, pero manager ka na ng company.

Medyo naguguluhan ako right now. I dont know what to do...what to consider. Please help me.

Thanks in advance :)

Never assume you're in until you've actually seen (and signed for) the job offer. :)

Aside from the things you've already said, I think you also have to factor in your work/managerial experience in making the decision. Would you be able to handle the heavy (and probably unfamiliar) workload of managing a business right away? You must consider the fact that in a relatively smaller company (compared to the printing company, I assume), the margin of error is much much smaller, and the repercussions of your mistakes could drastically affect the business. Oh, and of course, there's always the possibility of letting your sister down - which might ruin your relationship.

One of the pros of joining your sister right away and immersing yourself into the business is the potentially large amount of learning you'd be able to attain. By handling larger responsibilities, you'd be forced and pressured to learn everything faster, which could ultimately facilitate your development.

If you decide to join the printing company, you'll get to learn from experienced professionals, but your development may be a bit slow. Most companies are reluctant to give significant responsibilities to freshly hired employees.

But that's just me. Although I'd also like to manage my own business someday, I first want to go corporate and learn the ropes. Good luck!:)
