I was an SGV associate auditor until may of this year when i resigned... I was with the firm for almost 1 yr and 7 mos.
PLease dont ask me why i resigned kc its kinda complicated.:bashful:

Im an honor student from a university in our province and when i entered SGV i was privileged enough to have a signing bonus and had a salary higher than most of my batchmates.:bashful:

Moving forward, now im jobless and my initial plan is to apply for a position in some of the multinational companies here in manila but it seems i would be having hard time getting the job since i prematurely resigned from my previous work.:naughty:

So now im considering applying to the other big auditing firms like P&N, PWC, KPMG and Deloitter firm partners in makati.. Actually, if there is an opening for an associate IT auditor that would be great, if none, financial audit is great too...:)

Can anyone give me an overview of these auditing firms so i that i could compare them like hows the salary for an experieced auditor like me, how about the firm's culture, the opportunity for success, the resources and anything u can think of...:bop: so i that i could compare them

Maraming salamat po for the inputs...
It would really mean a lot to me...
And I know this thread will likewise help a lot those fresh CPA board passers still in the process of applying for the job*okay*

1 year and 7 months right? Why prematurely?

sayang yun ah, mag-2 years ka na... candidate for promotion na yan. you know, i suggest you keep on trying sa private firms, kasi maganda ang work experience mo eh. i'm sure maraming companies dyan na nangangailangan ng experienced accountant.

paintriga effect pa un complicated remark mo na-curious tuloy si getreadyph.

anyhow, 1 yr 7 mos is enough (two audit seasons yan more or less).

pare-pareho lang naman auditing firms, pero if you can look for my entry sa career and networking thread for accountants somewhere here, i'm more inclined to recommend PwC :naughty:

best of luck to you!

Mas ok ang PWC, lalong lalo na pag na assign ka sa mga SOx audits. More market value.

to BATANG PINOY: actually, the fact that P&A is not an affiliate of a big 4 international audit firm could work to your advantage. The thing is, these big 4 international firms refrain from getting auditors coming from the local affiliates. so if you end up with P&A, and if your future plan is to enter the big 4 international firms, mas open sila sayo. sa GT ka pa hindi pwede mag-apply, but the other4, pwedeng-pwede ka. training and exposure-wise, ok naman ang P&A. they have a good clientele naman.

I think, based sa experience ng mga friends ko here in the US...mas prefer pa rin dito sa US na galing sa big 4, wag lang sa affiliate nila kasi may problema sa local office clearance. My friends were all from big 4 in the US...madali sila nakakapag palipat lipat sa other big 4. They could also easily go down to the regional firms and big 10 firms (BDO, GT, Mcgladry, Crowe and the likes) because they are big 4.... kasi nga alam ang training and experience sa BIG 4... sila sila kasi ang ng-peering review sa isat-isa.... so for me... it is a No No to go P&A... pag big 4 affiliate...mapa public or private....mabenta ka.... and besides madami rin supply sa local pools...so if mag hire sila internationals....mas gusto nila dito sa Big 4 galing because of the perceived quality ....

... medyo naguluhan po ako, eh kc every time I look for a job sa net na audit related, palaging experience w/ any Big 4 is a plus something like that.

although if u look for job postings s mga sites nung big 4, they do not state that experience w/ Big 4 is a plus...

mas maganda sana kung based on personal experience or may mga kakilala *** from P&N then nagwowork or nakapagwork s Big 4 s ibang bansa specially singapore (un kc target ko then US), much much better...

kc i dunno if this is correct but my perception is in terms of the number of population next ang P&A to SGV so looking at the country level may laban **** talga ang mga taga P&A and of course PWC, KPMG and Deloitte :bashful: s SGV, but the problem w/ P&A is hnd kc sia affiliated w/ any big4 eh. so im thinking n bka paglabas ng bansa medyo hnd advantageous ang mga taga P&A compared to those coming from the other local auditing firms n affiliated s big4:)

based sa experience ko...now that US Firms (all big 4) are downsizing which resulted to increased pool of talents from local applicants....those who have big 4 experience get the job....international hire need to be super galing talaga bago maconsider US firms here (big 4 man or hindi)....eye catcher when you came straight from big 4...there is a peceived quality in you...

Honestly, masyado na competitive sa US at ang hrap na makapentrate ng foreigners....with the isuance of AS5....nabawasan kasi ang scope ng 404 works here...kaya ayun...less, less revenue...downsize.....US firm would hire only experienced candidates....with cost of sponsoring and getting visa nowadays...they need to get talent who worth of their effort.

suggestions --- stick to any big 4, develop certain specialization (if IT ka...develop mo *** field na yan) para maconsider ka as experienced candidate. When you moved to other big 4... may chance ka rin na mahire ng EY sa US...kasi they could sponsor you for L1 visa na wala namang cap compared sa H1-B....

just putting on my 2 cents....
