it companies that operate in hk and phil? so far the only company i know is azeus, well besides the multinational ones like accenture, misys, sap and those.

The thing about the IT of hk is that its albeit difficult to penetrate into their market because of their classification or branding. I know there are filipinos in IT over there as i have some friends over there but if you take a look at it generally, its much harder to get into the IT market in HK compared to say SG.

Why? im not exactly sure but this is based on my observation, They put a premium on education and work experience so let say if they were to choose from a grad from the philippines compared to a local hiree compared to someone from the europe (e.g. UK, canada or us) then they would probably go with the following:
- HK
- UK, US
- Others

so with that in effect, medyo tagilid konti ang situation since first there's recession in hk therefore very competitive ang job openings for locals, then throw in mo pa yung mga expats from the western world (hk is a choice destination for them in asia, same goes for sg) so sometimes i wonder where do we place ourselves then?

Now if you're looking for a short business trip to HK, i would probably suggest azeus since majority of their clients are HK based if im not mistaken

honestly it depends, since u mentioned that you have a green card why not try your luck then yeah?

Although like i said, hk is in recession this past couple of years so trying to compete with a local in terms of experience and education, medyo tagilid tayo even though you might come from the big 4 schools.

The only advantage that you will have with a green card (i assume your either holding a pr status in hk or u got a hk passport) is that relocation would not be a problem if a company decide to hire you. If im not mistaken although i dont know if this applies for it professionals is that my cousin mentioned before that when he applied for the work permit of his daughter's nanny w/c happens to be a filipina, there is a certain percentage or amount that you need to pay to the government to cover their expenses. This amount is not taken off their monthly wage but its on top of the salary that you pay them so im not sure whether if you have a green card, would you be subject to the same condition, if not then it would enhance your chances of getting hired i suppose since the company dont need to spend extra to get you onboard.
