what are the average approximate salaries for different kinds of jobs?

no need to be so specific..im just curious about the average.
i know they're different for every company but an average would be great..

but if you want to give specifics, why not, that would be great too..

like starting salaries
accountants?
call center?
public school teacher?
retail people who sell clothes in the malls like bench or cinderella?
SM/Landmark/Rustan sales people?
Drivers?
IT people?
secretaries?
waiters/waitress?
barista?
hotel "ushers"?
cooks?
police?
and all the other jobs you want to mention
etc....

and how are big are the raises/promotion and how often?

Im really just curious about the current salary situation here in the philippines.

Thank you for any info

it's really difficult to answer your question, kasi dependent din sa industry. like for example, accountants. pag sa audit sila, malamang the starting salary is very low, compared to starting salary in a BPO/call center with finance positions.

same thing with the increase and bonus, depends sa policy ng company. kung performance based or kung may bearing ang tenure mo, etc.

i think best way to get a relevant answer is to ask about the salary in the industry that you're currently in, or planning to go into.

actually im just doing this out for research. Just a general perspective lang.. Like on the low side, (not naman the lowest) what are the average starting salaries of the jobs mentioned... Like for the ordinary guys/gals who are not top of the class...Anyway, thanks.. I know it's difficult to answer..but maybe some people can answer. I really want to find out what are the salary ranges, like what's too low for an accountant or for waiter...etc.... thanks

Just check jobstreet, there is a link there called "Free Salary Report". It will show you several salary graphs, categorized by industries, levels, field of studies, length of services, etc.

Or perhaps try www.payscale.com
They have comprehensive information about average salaries (though statistically they use median not mean). God bless!
