Walang interview nangyari sa akin.

Tama si janbrane, actually andaming mas deserving maging trainees dyan. Like me I applied for it and they send me an e-mail similar to what janbrane received. I think the HR employees are not capable of determining or deciding the right people to be their trainees. I graduated with flying colors, awards and my course is one of the best in IT programs. I had been a programmer for several months and my past experience prior to programming is a big edge over other applicants like non-IT people. But I'm proud to say that I was not selected to be one of their trainees coz I think they cannot compensate my knowledge and skills right now. Luckily I'm employed like janbrane and I dont need BlastAsia anymore. Thank God!

Actually, I was not invited for an interview. I just took the exam, and after more than one week of expecting feedback from them I received the e-mail. Anyway, BlastAsia does not deserve my knowledge and skills. First and foremost, if I'm not mistaken, the said company is filipino owned and we all know that most of the filipino-owned companies (e.g. manufacturing, IT and etc.) are not good when it comes to benefits and compensation packages. Not to mention the bond for 2 years.
The company that I'm working with right now is far different from BlastAsia because it is an american-owned multi-company. Well-established and employees are well compensated without bond.:bashful:

Nagsesearch lang ako for possible IT companies na pwedeng pasukan.
E ano kung ComSci grad ka diba? E pano kung mas magaling at mas logical sayo yung PolSci grad kahit wala syang programming experience. Una sa lahat, you didn't pass the exam.
To BlastAsia's HR, I think, you made the right decision of not hiring progwiz. Masyado syang feelingero.

Una sa lahat pasado po ako sa exam kasi before the e-mail I asked one of the HR employees through text regarding my exam, and she said pasado ako, but then I have to wait.
PEACE!!!

Maybe you're right. Pero wasted lang talaga yung time ko sa pag-take ng exam dun. Knowing na nakapasa ka na sa exam, of course you will expect for an initial interview pero walang nangyaring ganun. But if we take a look on a positive side of it maybe its the will of the Lord na hindi ako natuloy dun kasi I think much better naman yung company na napuntahan ko ngayon. :)

Another thing.... It's quite funny that the attitude/behavior exam is done online & its not even an interview, which makes judging one person quite unfair because the applicant doesn't have the chance to defend or explain his/her side why he/she chose that answer. But maybe they just heavily rely on that system on judging one's personality.
That's the first time I took a non-PERSONAL behavioral/attitude exam.
The only choices for each behavioral/attitude questions are something like: (not exact words)
• EXTREMELY IMPORTANT
• IMPORTANT
• NOT IMPORTANT
• EXTREMELY NOT IMPORTANT

Maybe their "Personality Test" is a big factor. Kahit siguro matataas ang scores mo sa IQ Test, Abstract, Logic, and Essay are not enough to be considered. But, I guess that "Personality Test" is subjective (correct me if I'm wrong). And even face-to-face interview is not enough kasi pwede kang magpretend. :)

Yeah, obviously NO chance for you to explain yourself because its multiple choice.
Based on your description on the choices, nag-exam ka ba talaga?
that's why i put "(not exact words)" before i listed the choice because I cant remember the exact words, but the choices are something to that effect.
to answer your question "nag-exam ka ba talaga?" YES (Mid-September) so aeonblaire, if you're part of their HR, you may check the names of people who visited the office around mid-sept.

I think may kinalaman din siguro yung expected salary na nilalagay natin sa Info Sheet na binibigay nila before or after the exam. Kasi in my case, masyado yatang mataas para sa kanila yung demand ko sa salary. But it's our prerogative to demand higher naman lalo na kung may work experience na tayo.

What I mean is, attitude/behavior exams doesn't always need to be an interview, so whether given the chance to explain or not is irrelevant. I think saying "that part of the exam is quite unfair" is inappropriate because its just one of the tools they use in choosing who they accept. If they rely solely on that part, then that would be unfair.
Not exact words? It is not even something to that effect. Iba yata ang exam mo?

ok... you have a point on telling me that telling "that part of the exam is quite unfair" is inappropriate BUT it seems you're trying to argue with me because you're like trying to say I did not take that exam...

Hi,
I'm also an applicant at Blast Asia, i just finish my exam today. Before I forgot to tell, hindi po programmer trainee ang inaaplayan ko dahil experience dev na ko. But what I tell is I also taken *** mga logical exam at iba pa just like any applicant. Here are my comments:
logical exam - i haven't finish all those logical exam kc it boreds me at mas maskit *** sa ulo ko kesa magprogram. So bagsak na kaya ako?? hehe! I don't think so..
Asking salary - I put a high salary also..as in very high! :p Pero hindi un pede maging basihan para hindi din makapasa kasi pede un inegotiate or ioffer *** mababa tapos depende na un kung tatangapin mo or not. watchatink??
someone here is saying that he is better than the other.. just imagine that another person told it na mas magaling *** kesa ***.. how would you feel?? if you had experience in work, you need to be in a team.. and if you were a person that is not a good team player or not sensitive enough to consider other people feelings.. paano kai-hire????
yes pede *** mas magalign kesa sa iba.. but you can't do alone even it's a single task. many heads are always better than one in all aspects. a person doen't need to be so technical always, dapat meronka din mga soft skills na tinatawag like how to be a good team player and effective communication with others.
just a tip for all of you guys, sa interview..kahit magaling ka pero ang tingin *** ng interviewer eh pikon or arrogant eh pedeng hindi ka nila tanggapin. I'm sure everyone here gets my point and even one of us that will be in the same situation eh hindi ka din maghire ng hindi mo gusto.
just my 2cents. ;)

Super ok ang company na 'to.
Cool people.
For trainees - 125-15k (allowance)
After training automatic magiging 18k-20k ang sweldo
well it depends pa rin kung pumasok ka na na merong title such as MCP, MSTS, MCAD, or MCSD.
so kahit Comp. Sci ka or IT grad... kung di nila type ang attitude mo, mas pipiliin pa nila ang mechanal engineer or pol.sci. grad. heheh
and hindi rin sya Flipno owned company. Indian national ang may-ari nito. And this company have offices in USA and India.
