i lasted a year and a half... :D its your first job, so give it time. you'll learn a lot--patience, subordination, loyalty, respect, corruption even hehehe. ul learn to deal with different and sometimes difficult people. i suggest u stay there for awhile (atleast a year), and try to identify your possible contributions u might give that company and see if there's career growth given your skills/capabilities. and while you're there u can also look for other jobs, then if a better opportunity opens up, weigh your options wisely. ;) never decide on an empty stomach. been there, done that.. sobrang hirap mabakante. :bop:

a month lang. it was too toxic and unfulfilling, I literally got sick. I would die of sickness and depression there, so I quit. kaya it was never listed on my resume.

I just stayed in my first job for about a month. I was a jr system engineer then with a high salary compared to my other classmates. However, I resigned dahil im not happy with what Im doing. And I was given a very complicated project kaagad on my first week that gave me a lot of pressure.Tuwing makikita ko nga yung building namin, sobrang na-stress na ako. But after resigning and finding another job, I realized that I have learned from that 1st job experience.

uhmm help

last week i got hired by Company A, but a day before that, i applied to Company B (na dream ko talaga), pero i wasnt sure if they'll give me a chance kasi so I decided not to wait for it.

a day before I start out with Company A, Company B called me up for an exam. i decided to go. but the thing is, what happens, assuming i passed the exam? i'll go under training with Company A and i don't like to have absences agad.

and would it make a good impression with Company B, na i just got hired tapos ineentertain ko sila? magkaiba sila ng field (hindi sila magka kompetensya), and i know walang assurance na i would make it there, but i would like to try.

if ever company B asks for an appointment, pwede kaya after office hours or saturday?? im new to these things. i dont know the best way to handle my situation. your thoughts will be a great help. thanks!

i thought iv seem this post already somewhere else hehe nyw, just my pov..

1. since you're the one looking for a job, i personally would not suggest u asking them to adjust to your schedule.. show company B u want the job, and that you're willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

2. integrity is very important. dont tell company B you're available when in fact you're already hired by company A. despite what uv said that theyr differnt companies, this is a small world we have here u know. mahirap na. and before evn trying your luck for company B, make sure that you havent signed any contract or bond yet with company A, because such could make them sue u bigtime.

3. if you're really sure of pursuing company B, evn with the possible consequence of giving up company A, then go for it. dont be swept away by the pressure of simply getting employed. know what u want, and make the necessary preparations to get that dream job. dont rush things. have faith. your first job should always make a good impression. ;)

Thanks! Great help.

I havent signed anything with Company A yet. And they dont have a bond. Actually, they dont ask their hired employees to sign a contract immediately just in case mag back out. Yun lang, I dont want to have absences and make excuses agad na I wont go to work. Sobrang nag susungay naman ako agad. As much as I'd like to agree that there's no need to rush things, I cant do anything about it. Ang hirap kasi mawalan these days.

Anyway, thanks a lot.

3 months. I resigned because I didn't like corporate and office work. Currently helping in the family business. I've also thought about working in an NGO.

A year and a half. It was toxic and there's a lot of pressure, but I sure learned a lot from them. Leaving the company was a difficult decision for me, but I wanted to study again.

9 months. - nagresign ako dala ng nandun pa rin ako e tapos na contract ko hehe... and nagrerestructure yung company na may kasamang retrenchment at force leave w/ no pay.

5 months. - end of contract, nagclose yung department namin... nasa experiments stage palang kasi and di makapagcommit yung client namin hehe...

so far jobless and waiting for my moment to come :)

After I graduated, I start working in the bank - my first job, and up until right now, I'm still working there. I'm happy, because I'm assured of employment security because of stability (puwera usog). hehe....

2 year and 1/2 month. If it weren't for the two years bond, I would have lasted for only 2 months. I hate how the people with superiority manages the company.

3 weeks. Money market company kasi. Maganda sana, we were trained in forex trading, but the catch was you had to find your own clients (as in high net worth clients, who were willing to invest 100k na puwedeng masunog in a few seconds of trading). Mahina ang convincing powers ko eh, research and analysis talaga ang linya ko.

Pagkakuha ko ng 1st payslip ko, di na ako nagpakita kinabukasan.

More than 4 years din, I was their IT Officer so related talaga sa field ko but there's something na hinahanap ko, yung para sa career ko, I feel kasi na maggu-grow ako if I will work in an IT Company... and hanap ko talaga ma-enhance yung skill ko and merong specialization talaga...
