maybe its just me but when you sign a exclusive contract to be with a network, they dont pay them a fixed monthly salary.

Their salary is based on their guesting on the network's show (wherein it could be stipulated in the contract that they may have X amount of airtime exposure) but again why would the network be throwing away good money at some of the artist (e.g. gabby concepcion, maricel soriano) which in effect are really non-existent in terms of air time or appearances?

I would assume that it would be the same way with movies and albums

a movie/music contract ensures that X artist is signed up with this producing company for Y amount of movies wherein he will get a talent fee + a certain portion of the sales proceeds but it does not mean that X artist will receive a montly salary from the production company during the span of Y movies.

Maybe someone in the entertainment industry can confirm my understanding above.


Do i doubt the figures above? Nah its possible but ill take that it includes all of their possible income (e.g. guestings, commercials, movies, shows) and that would be an average figure for a month but this could change year by year anyway.
