i have a high school classmate who works here, he's assigned at ALVEO, specifically Celadon and another one (i forgot the name of the project).
according to him, masaya siya dun. in fact, kakabalik lang niya. he resigned before but has started working for Ayala land again this year. sa High Street yung office niya, although syempre, madalas din siyang nasa field.

Walang yata opening for IT since all Ayala Corp subsidiaries IT is integrated to BPI and Globe IT services. Alam ko Ayala Holdings ang pinaka mother company which is on Ayala Life Building in Makati
Openings sa Ayala Land are more of Marketing position kasi real estate siya may mga engineers din pero designers lang at konti lang sila at ang contractor nila is also their subsidiary which is Makati Development Corp.

Ayala Land had an early retirement program which is very hard to resist last year. With that, there was an influx of new employees to supplant ALI's ageing core (given that most employees consider ALI as a company in which they will retire).
Now, its a mix of senior and junior guys...politics is inherent in every industry :D

Feb 10, 2009, 11:06 PM
SAP ABAP is indeed outsourced from various local consulting firms like Bayantrade and Supply chain. I have ABAPER friends both from supply chain and bayantrade who were/are assigned in ALI. I think SAP RE, FICO are the ones who are in house. Their SAP SRM are also outsourced.

After the SAP R3 phase out, SAP SRM has not YET been fully utilized by ALI...
msaber69

SAP R3 modules are still being used here. SRM is still in its "infancy" stage =D
OrionPax
Feb 12, 2009, 06:36 AM
in some SBUs, R3 aint being used anymore. I have to check if the other modules they use. MM in R3 was the 1st module rolled out in 2002, SRM in 2005

you have NO IDEA how much these people got from the retirement. especially with our GM, my God i won't even think twice. imagine getting that amount of money while you CAN still work and maybe render your services to other companies who are willing to give you twice or even thrice your salary in ALI? that's how valuable they are, at least those who i personally know.

You are relatively new in ALI thats why... :) if you were in the shoes of those who availed early retirement...you wouldnt batt an eyelash in cashing in hehe...especially if you are manager up, some are just in their late thirties and are already millionaires , and can easily find work at that calibre of working with Ayala
As mentioned by invest...people who came from ALI are "very marketable" especially those in construction management the BA there are the building administrators :)

My sister used to work here she was first assigned in ALSI then transferred to ALI, From what I remember the difference between the two is that Ali is more direct kind of way but the commission is kinda higher in ALSI.. (that's how I understand it:) Her first office was in tomas morato in lansbergh place, then to tower one, then to greenbelt. The company also provided a car for her, but when she was starting it really was hard work I kinda remember she has all this different fliers and brochures with regards to the different properties that she's selling and I also helped her give out fliers. But after a few months and then when she got her first commission (which is a big money btw) she already got the hang of the business already and that started her succesful career. After a few years of working in Ayala Land she decided to take a step further and took the Broker exams and now she's a certified broker! and then with her officemate before who also used to work in ayala, they put up a company that sells different kinds of properties here in the philippines and also abroad. Hope I can also work in Ayala Land:)

Ganun talaga, same thing happened to me 2 years ago. I was already done with the technical test and interview with the manager when I received a call from the HR that they receive instructions to temporarily stop hiring. So in effect, they had me wait until the freeze hiring is over. Yun lang, after the lifting of the "freeze hiring", chevron called me up for the JO during my 1st day of work in another consulting firm. So pasensyahan nalang.
Going back to the issue, We can't blame them kasi it has to do with the original budget being cut off. Before companies post openings, certain budgets must be approved first. So baka in your case, originally, the budget was approved pero due to cutting of costs, they had to stop hiring as of the moment. Hindi mo rin masisi yung HR kung instructions talga sa kanila yun.

waah optimus primo!

There was an org-shaje up, New CEOs, re-org, re evaluation of head counts to support the "re designed" org
Once the smoke clears...maybe you may consider calling HR again

sa ALI ba is sales pa rin kahit yung mga operations assistant or mktg communications? may nakalagay kasing negotiation skills.
anyway, bakit nagtop ang ayala land sa most admired company of the philippines? gano ba kaganda ang benefits here? or sales lang ang maganda dahil sa commission? how about mga backoffice work?

It's not just how "much" or how "many", it's really "how" ALI gives emphasis on its commitment to its customers (despite the economic turmoil and everything) and live up to its name as proven by how MCBD emerged from being a swampland to being the center of progress here in the country, :) You can check out the sustainability report in our site if you wanted to know more, ;)

I'm not from ALI but based on what I know, the property specialist position is a sales job. And as for most sales job, you rely mostly on commissions depending on the sales that you close. Don't mind the basic salary because most probably it's just average and you might just consume it on your daily expenses. If you sell and meet the quota, you can become a millionaire in a short span of time ;). Hope this helps.
