Some are with the securities department - mutual funds.

albert16
Dec 9, 2008, 08:58 AM
The chances of going to other countries for training, like in almost all companies, depend on the work, the needs of your department, and your capacity. Mumbai is just among the options. For those interested, kindly check their website: careers.jpmorganchase.com

Re: JO

Nakausap ko si reena kagabi, sabi niya sometime this week tatawag sila para sa job offer. so probably expect their call today or tomorrow. if you haven't received a call again, and if they already told you that a job offer will be made and wait for a call, don't bother to tell me or better yet call reena. mabait naman si reena at si liza.

i applied online last week, w/in 24hrs they called and conducted the phone interview. then i was invited for another set of interviews at netquad. when i went there, i got the job offer immediately. i was there from 10:30am until 5pm. 3 people interviewed me.
talaga bang walang transportation allowance? rice and meal allowance lang yung nakalagay sa job offer.
i asked about the transportation allowance, wala daw. pero i read in the other thread here for jpmorgan, sabi nung isang nagpost meron silang transpo allowance. inalis na nila for new hires?

Actually I called them also and they confirmed that the hiring manager was still in India (as posted by albert16) in the other thread. The hiring manager gave the verbal instruction to give-out the JO however the HR still wants a written instruction from the hiring manager. Right now, the VP is currently here in Manila and might give the instruction to give out the JO possibly within this week.

The actual job for our group (something about investigation of nostro exceptions) will commence on FEB 09, 2009 as per advice of the HR.

hello. tanong ko lang. kaylangan ba may experience ka sa job before you can apply? Business Management yung course ko current job ko processing associate sa isang insurance co., BPO. puwede kaya ako mag-apply?

foolcha
Dec 31, 2008, 02:27 PM
eee123 in my POV I don't see any problem applying in any position you believe you are qualified. Even if, you don't graduate from the so called top schools, I myself is not a graduate of such. Not everyone who graduate from those schools are actually good, some of them only have the money, the connection and some are really genius. BUT I do believe that the most important thing that great people have is there determination and indomitable will...

Just a piece of advice, don't let anyone tell you what you can or you can't do.

ah okay... thanks a lot! tinanong ko lang kasi dati (May 2008) nung sinubukan namin mag-apply ng classmates ko sa JP Morgan for BPA position, sabi dapat daw may experience/background sa mortgage. eh fresh grads kami. eh pag mag a-apply naman ako ngayon, may work experience nga ako ng 6 mos. yun nga lang wala parin akong background sa securities, hindi related yung work ko ngayon doon.. may i also ask, what time po shift nito? ayoko na ng night shift eh.. may alam kase ako 10am-7pm yata shift back office work din sa JP, not really sure.. anyway, thanks a lot for the advice!

albert16

So from what i gathered, TSS will be situated away from net quad and philam, sa Jaka bldg ba near Security Bank head office? Is this correct? When is the account go-live date? Hopefully i can still make it. To those who have, what is the quickest way to apply and be interviewed? Online? Walk- in? Where and how? Thanks in advance to those responding. Cheers!

Jan 30, 2009, 10:01 AM
@ *TubbY* - Do a walk-in at 27/F PhilamLife Tower Ayala ave. Bring your updated resume. They are continuously hiring.

@ albert16 - When you had your training with JP how long did it took?

albert16
Jan 31, 2009, 12:25 PM
@TubbY
i think you can go to 27th flr philam and take the test. as far as i know the schedules are 9, 11, 1 and 3. i'm not sure if it is still the same. just bring your updated resume

we're currently operating at jaka but that will only be temporary. there are two live operations already but still we need a lot of people for the other operations and for the new teams on the first two operations.

@foolcha
for training, it will last for almost 2-3 months, it depends on the work.

the job title...what ba? kasi di ako masagot ng hr basta daw something with associate or specialist. sa icco ako asia pacific daw so i got the dayshift.

foolcha
Feb 5, 2009, 11:46 AM
@ petixter based on my pov I believe that JPMorgan is very stable, as per my conversation with one of the Process Managers she told me that the company actually reported a net income last quarter (I didn't verify this).

With regards to the job title (Team Member, Senior Team Member, Team Leader, Process Manager), I also don't have an idea maybe the people working with JPMorgan - TSS can answer that. BUT I saw one, "Fund Accounting Associate" is his title based on his post.

albert16
Feb 6, 2009, 06:27 AM
petixter you can check the career website, the job titles are there. by the way, your job title must be in your JO.
regarding the stability, you can check the net for different news about jp morgan.

foolcha
Feb 6, 2009, 07:50 AM
@ albert16 I don't think it was on the job offer sheet. BUT I may be wrong, are these the job titles "team member, team leader"? I think if it is, the HR should at least make it (just a suggestion) "Associate, Senior Associate" or anything that sounds professional.

petixter
Feb 6, 2009, 10:28 AM
albert16 and foolcha, thanks for the info about jp morgan.

ask ko lang. during my exam and interview, some employees were using laptops. what department yun?

about the job title, sabi sa kin ng hr yung mga "team member, team manager" are job levels however di pa nilagay sa job offer yung talagang title ng work but meron daw yun either associate or specialist sa title.

how long would it usually take for them to call you for possile job offer?

i had my phone interview last week. and then after 2 days, i went to the office in philam for the exam. after a day, they called me up telling me that i passed the exam and im scheduled for a personal interview which i had just this week. so after my personal interview, what's next?

also, i heard na currently ay nag-a-"assemble" sila ng mga new teams. are the applicants like me ay para dun sa mga ina-"assemble" teams or for established teams na?

other thing, totoo bang walang hina-hire for a moment instead, nagka-conduct pa lang ng exams/interviews for all and then sa future malalaman ang mga shortlisted? or may hina-hire na agad?

thanks for your future answers... :)

is it really hard to get in, i mean the hiring process?

foolcha
Feb 22, 2009, 03:43 PM
Where did you get that idea that it is hard to get in? Anyway, based on experience multinational company would hire someone from the "top" schools BUT that is not always the case. With JPMC, I think they want someone with experience with banking/finance/treasury/investments or if fresh graduate they want a CPA because they are very cautious, since they are building the pioneer team in the Philippines and all eyes are actually in the JPMC Philippines operation if we can be able to deliver the results they expect.

had lunch today with a senior of this company
dami daw "ok" na nag apply from dlsu
binigyan daw nila ng 50 item exam on english proficiency, math and accounting
35 correct answers ang cutoff, dami daw bagsak
wala bang quality control sa dlsu

this guy also took the same exam when he was applying
he got 47/50
pero siyempre matindi na experince nito
at least 15 years in combination of bank ops, trading and fund management
pero siguro naman yung exam na yun aptitude tests lang yun

lakas kasi ng hatak ng company name
isipin mo JP MORGAN

HR called me early afternoon and immediately scheduled me for an interview at 7:30pm. I went in fully dressed at PhilamLife Tower, only to realize that its going to be a conference interview from the US. Nag effort pa ko sa outfit. 2 senior managers interviewed me for almost an hour.

Hope I'll be able to get in. I had a feeling though that I am underqualified since the position they interviewed me for is an AVP role with 5 years work experience needed. I worked for 3 years palang.:) Anyone here who had the same process?:)

Guys, after my interview yesterday, someone from HR called me again to confirm the allowances that I receive from my current job. Would you know if this is a sign already that they have considered the application and have prepared the job offer? :) Sorry, assuming masyado, wishful thinking lang

Guys,

Can anyone provide a comparison between DKS and JPM-TSS with regards to the type of work. Im a bit curious kasi... I know that DKS (MICS) has treasury ops functions such as PnL... nag differ lang sa underlying product (equities, FX, Credit, etc) Is this the same sa JPM? Thanks

hi blue_blooded21,

Nope. Mostly situational, e.g give me a situation where you demonstrated your problem solving skills, what kind of leader are you?, etc. :) They based their questions on your resume. Good luck! By the way, i was interviewed for the Global Fee Billing Unit. They'll start to migrate some processes daw this May pa.

Thats what Im thinking. Thats the reason also that they are aggresively hiring. The good thing about being with JP TSS then is you'll be one of the pioneer employees.:)

It depends, minsan mabilis, minsan a month after (like mine), but you can follow-up your application with them

check jpmorgan career webpage, careers.jpmorgan.com

a lot of people, including me, would be happy to refer those who are interested and have good stuff in their resume, you know why.

fernando_hierro
Mar 28, 2009, 08:55 AM
bat dami recruitment dito
siguro dam rin umaalis
baka attractive lang kasi JP Morgan kuno
pero parang pinoy company din lang

petixter
Mar 28, 2009, 10:58 AM
blue_mintz, if you want to apply for TSS, go to philam life 32nd floor. if someone interview you from jaka, that's TSS too. pero pag net quad, card services na yun.

there's an ongoing job fair sa netquad, may openings din for TSS, pero mas marami pag sa card services (call center).

blue_mintz
Mar 28, 2009, 12:40 PM
petixter: ok ok I get it!:) actually may interview ako sa monday eh. sa jaka daw eh. ano ba exact location nun? hehe!:) i was called after my graduation and i was too hyped to listen carefully for the instructions given to me. can anyone tell me san exactly yung jaka?:)

Miss Halliwell
Mar 29, 2009, 12:41 PM
I understand na night shift and billing. pero how about the days to work? is it monday-friday din ba? kasi may nakita ako na...

Shift Time: 9:00 PM - 6:00 AMPhilippinesTime (During Eastern Standard Time)
8:00 PM - 5:00 AMPhilippinesTime (During Daylight Savings Time)
Days of the Week: S/M/T/W/Th/F/Sat (As Needed to AccommodateU.S.Scheduling)

so, possible na hindi straight 2 days ang off mo? Or walang off at all?

thanks in advance

this one time I saw their office, they were all in jeans and/or casual attire :D .... TIA

albert16
Mar 30, 2009, 12:06 PM
same with most of the companies in the country, M-Th, business casual and on friday, jeans and/or casual

mage1911
Mar 30, 2009, 12:41 PM
thanks sir albert! but could you be a little bit more specific on the term "business casual"? does it mean long sleeves shirt + tie or pwede na slacks and polos? im about to start na kasi and i was not given any orientation yet.

also sir, is it true na if i referred someone and s/he gets accepted at TSS, there is a certain referral bonus or sumthin?

thanks to all you nice people from TSS ... ;)

nababato nako dito sa Shell Shared... Because of management's stupid goal of reaching top quartile, nasasacrifice *** mga sweldo ng employees. ayaw maghire ng additional employees. gusto gawing multi-tasking mga current employees nila.

albert16, you're from SSSC right? Musta naman jan sa JPM TSS??? May chance kaya ako jan??? Im from Accounts Payable. 6 months nako dito. This is my first first job din. Based on what Ive read from, previous posts, pinakamalaki kong chance ay sa Disbursement. Pa-pm naman ako (include mo comp and ben, etc) Thanks man!

cool! a thread dedicated for JPMC-TSS.
It will be my 6th month this week. haha. time flies..

Few facts about TSS (Funds Services-specific)
~i think its ok to share~

* TSS stands for Treasury and Securities Services. It is a one of the 6 Lines of Business in JPMC. I can go on and on. Check nalang the jmorgan website :)

* So far, fund services-wise, Reconciliations is the first to be migrated across all locations. Sydney has gone live, Boston is set to go live soft this April and totally on May. Edinburg and Dallas teams has been onboarded, as well as the other Sydney team. Sydney is the only dayshift in Funds, Edin is midshift and the rest nightshift.

* There are other teams as well- the Disbursement team (which I think Albert16 belongs to), Metrics, etc.

* You can either apply online thru JOBConnect (Taleo) or thru referral (preferred by Mgt). I think I referred more than a hundred na. haha. They prefer a CPA or an accounting grad for Fund Services. Once shortlisted, you'll be asked to take an exam. Should you get at least 35, you'll be invited for an interview for the same day. If you're great, they'll give you the job offer right away, especially if hiring is urgent. I'm not sure though how it is with Disbursements.

* It is expected that more work will be migrated and JPMC has already set a hiring pool for this. But apply pa rin kayo guys as hiring will be aggressive again by 3rd and 4th quarters.

* Team Members, Team Leaders and Process Managers are used, I think, to be comparable with org structures in other companies. Fund Accounting Associate and Senior Fund Accounting Analysts are the same with Team Member and Team Leader, resp.

Hi JP morgan peepZ..I had a phone interview awhile ago for the client access/ solution center agent position. Im not sure if the one who interviewed me is a chinese or a malaysian. I was able to pass the phone interview and I will have my onsite interview on monday. Another girl from the Recruitment I believe called me again and said that if I will be able to pass the interview with her on monday, there will also be another remote interview from us team on Tuesday morning. I'm very excited regarding this news and looking forward on passing all those interviews. I'm just wondering if this position is a new account or LOB here in JP morgan philam life as I never heard of this position here in Jp morgan forums.

1. Anybody knows what is the typical day of a client access/ solution center agent?

2. And also, the asian girl who first called me asked me if I will be ready to travel outside the country for training. I'm just wandering if trainings are really held overseas here in Jp morgan.

3. Did all applicants encountered the remote interview with the U.S team, could you please give me some insights regarding this one?

4. One last thing, anybody here know's the salary package for this position? hehe..

Please enlighten me. You can just pm me. hehe..thanks in advance!
