Anu bang work ang preferred mo?
First of all assess your skills and capabilities, from there define your goals. Take one step at a time.

my advice is don't settle first sa call center job, not that I have anything against those who currently work there. look for a job that has something to do with your course in college. Then work your way up. I first started with IBM business services since though IT grad ako, then left and went to a different company na IT talaga. Mahirap gnayon since yup, end of the year and 2009 is the year for big cut backs just don't lose hope. =)

Depends on the kind of work you're trying to get.

I think its a base to base cases:lol: seriously hirap na hirap kami maghanap ng mga account service people or marketing people because some graduates dont have IT. Sa accounting department din nagsi puntahan na abroad kaya ganoon tapos wala pang nag aaply so it really depends. If you have a generic or common course medyo mahirap. Dapat good looking ka or have really excellent communication skills to have an age - este edge pala.:bashful:

Just an advice, If you are having a hard time finding a job, maybe you could enroll in a masters degree or professional certifications so that you could have a better change of getting the job.

sigh_hwatalyf there are many scholarship available. You could also study at state university like UP other schools also give out scholarship to deserving students. If you have some 15k-35k you could get certifications (in business management/finance/accounting) internationally through its local chapter. You could also find some sidelines to raise money for your education.

I have no idea what field are you in but if you are in finance you could take certifications in SEC for a mere P500-5k.

This is not a guarantee that you will find a job with a masters degree. What's important is your working experience and working attitude. Kahit may masters ka and your experience is clerical, you cannot apply to a leadership position. And if you have masteral, companies will have second thoughts in hiring you for a staff position because they have the impression that you will expect more, salary wise in particular.

No one can guarantee anything but it can improve your chances.

I was in a similar situation 2 years back.

I left my first job (stayed for 7.5 years) 6 months after I graduated from my master's degree. Even before graduation, I was already applying at various companies to no avail. Kung mahirap before, I guess mas mahirap specially now. I was just lucky to receive a good offer for a job I would love to do.

After 1.5 years, luckily, I was able to transfer to another (better) job.

Iam an IT graduate (fresh graduate lang) 2 months na kong naghahanap.. medyo alangan nga lang kasi end of the year now tas may crisis pa.

Hello po, my sister just graduated from college her degree is Physical Therapy, pumasa narin sya board exam, gusto ko po sana if meron po dito na pwede mag advice where to find jobs, kung meron po dito PT practitioners baka makatulong po kayo.. nahihirapan na ata hanap kasi yung kapatid ko. salamat po!

saan graduate ang sister mo? sa US mas madali pag nakakuha ka ng doctor in PT initially dun sa mga bagong applicant galing sa ibang bansa kc marami na ring mga kumukuha ng PT & nursing dito although pwede pa rin makakuha ang Pinoy PT ng work dito.. anyways, why don't you let your sister take the initial requirements for employment sa US & then go from there.. healthcare is one area that has still open jobs although companies refrain from sponsoring na but just get through the agencies.. i feel that the job market sa US for healthcare & education will survive through the crisis kc yan ang areas na bibigyan ni Obama ng pansin.*okay*

btw kaya medyo may alam ako kc ang anak ko ay PT senior supervisor at consultant sa NY for 12 years na & my best friend is a nurse manager sa isang ospital sa NY.

oo nga pala, magbasa ka dun sa PEXers in NY na thread kc may nakausap ako na bagong dating sa NY na mga OTs na working for an agency kc naghahanap ng apt. & meron kc ang anak ko na rental.. if i remember right "mitlog" ang name na gamit nya, maybe he can help your sister.. goodluck!:)

Try Dermclinic. I think they are in need of Physical Threrapist. The salary may not be as high, but the starting is P10k. Puwede na ito, kaysa sa walang trabaho....

In these times of crisis, for Masteral Degree Holders without a job at this time - you're putting yourself in a danger, in a way, you might be over qualified for a usual college degree requirements or your ideal position which requires Masteral Degree is not available....

that is why you should listen right from the very beginning.

Mahirap ang buhay kapag hindi ka nakapag aral.

Iba ang tapos ng college sa may pinag aralan. At ang may pinag aralan na may magandang skwelahan.

Most people often miss those points. They hear and interpret them as naggings.
