Here in the Philippines ha.
I just submitted my resume in their website.
Any info (trainings, environment, workload, salary, benefits, etc.) on Sun Microsystems here in the Philippines?

I took my ojt here 2 years ago. Work load depends on what department you're assigned to. AS to pay, since OJT wala kming sweldo but the training is good like may free Java training for OJTs and I am pretty sure mas ok sa employees talaga. Mababait *** mga tao doon. Mas ok ***** if you go there and mag walk in ka to submit your resume. =):)

Ano ba ginagawa dun (esp. for an ECE/ECE graduate)?

networking so since ECE grad ka, pwede ka though hindi sila mostly about equipment. Marketing handles those and they normally get it sa US. *** alam ko is may mga developers sila dun, system admins and network admins =)

Networking? Hmm... so network design & implementation sila? Like for example, a company needs to set up a LAN in their office & Sun does it for them. Ganun?
Mukhang kelangan ko ata tapusin Cisco certification ko dito ah. Hehehe.
Anyone who has an idea about compensation & other non-tech goodies in Sun Microsystem?

I was interviewed there some time ago for a systems engineer position. Basically you will handle the setup and configuration of SUN products like Servers and storage of the company clients. Basically this type of job requires you to be on call most of the time, based on my experience. I don't know if they handle network related client requirements or products but in my knowledge, Sun is mostly on server, storage, OS (Solaris) and development (JAVA) products.

Hi, i think this might help you decide. 2 of my close friends were working there. Both are in the network job. When it comes to training, certification perks sagana sila. Grab the opportunity sayang dream company ko yan eh.

Any openings for developers? Experienced hires?
Paano kung hindi ka marunong mag-JAVA, more on C++/ C# side ka?
Matatanggap ka pa rin ba?
Thanks!
