My friend from my old job said that the Christmas grandprize in their office is somewhat rigged in favor of regular employees.
Almost always - all winners are those probi employees who are not regular employees and dont usually stay long in their company. So they have 2 raffle tambiolos - 1 for all the minor prizes and the 2nd one is for all the grandprize so that everybody still has a chance to win. But the probi employees and all employees for that matter dont know that the probi employees names are not included in that 2nd tambiolo.
Is this fair or what? I am giving her advice later. What is your take on this? According to her the bosses want to motivate the regular employees more who have stayed loyal and efficient the whole time unlike those probi who left the very next month. Pls advice.
In my opinion i think it is just a white lie and they can announce it that only regular employees are entitled for the grand prize. But on second thought it is the prerogative of the top management to make adjustments on the rules and dont need any "explanations" for this raffle set up.
