Hi there, merry x-mas and happy New Year to all I would like to get some suggestions as to which call center would be nice to try next. So far I have worked for Convergys under an ISP account and then transferred to dell under hardware warranty support. I've been in the industry for about 3 and half years now and as some of you may have already guessed, I'm tired of taking in calls by now. I love the call center industry, unfortunately it doesn't seem like it wants to love me back :( So now if any of you could kindly point in the right direction. The options that I知 willing to consider at the moment are:

1) Try looking for a call center that would take me in as a team leader, I致e heard of some call centers that do this but of course the more the merrier, I don稚 care. I値l try them all no matter how low the pay, or long the bond or how much the overtime without pay is.

2) Try looking for a call center that would take me in as a level 2 tech support, at least here you don稚 take as much calls a few escalations here and there and some office work and that is it. Having worked for dell, I知 having difficulty imagining a customer that can scare me now.

3) Suck it up and go back to where I might truly belong, level one tech support agent. However if ever I知 going back to this it needs to be for the highest bidder and I知 talking at least 24k

I will most certainly appreciate any form of help, just send me a private message, I might not be able to check on this until shortly after the holidays

Thank you and happy holidays once more

actually I plan to run my own business sometime in the future I already have some capital but the most important question of "what business to put up" is what I dont have a good answer to yet. As to the question of which companies I've tried applying for... there's not much yet. most of the 2 months I bummed around was spent doing things I did not have time to do when i was working ( ie. getting tons of sleep) so again, please tell me which companies would i have a chance of being hired for a higher post by simply having 3.5 years of tech support experience in the industry. Location doesnt matter as i plan to move out of my current apartment sometime this comming june or july. Hope someone can help me with any of the 3 options I stated earlier

BTW, if there is anyone out there who needs a buddy looking for work, preferrably someone like me who has experirence and just looking for a good company to try, just send me a PM and maybe we can support each other. You know how boring it is to apply by yourself

can you please tell me tha name of the company? para maresearch man lang

@ its.joyz

well sometimes it is about that, many companies factor that in when it comes to determining your salary, and when trying to apply for a different post, i think that counts a lot too or at least that's what people who where able succesfully apply for a higher post tell me. but thanks anyway, im already looking around the other threads but it's still nice if other people would directly suggests some companies to me

hope you all had a merry xmas.. get ready for new years eve *okay*

I've already met a lot of people like you, believe me we are on the same page, altough I'm not so much into the responsibilty part, I've experienced playing the part in school kaya nung nagwork, naumay ako. Haay gusto ko nga din mag business soon.

Companies na mabilis ma promote?
Teletech is one, pero kailagan 3-6 months ka level 1 tapos, sobrang meticulous ka sa stats, iwas file notes, tsaka know the right people. I stayed there for a while, kaya lang di ko talaga naging goal, although dami oportunity for growth, level 3,escalation, ticket management group, TL, QA, trainer, evaluator, workforce dami ibang gagawin na hindi na kasingbigat ng normal agents.

We started with 26 agents, 1 OM, 1 GM, 1 TL. Wave 2 naman 31 agents tapos hinati sa dalawa kaya nangailangan ng mga leader. eh yung Wave 3 mag f floor na yun in about 1 month or so 50 agents yun, so just do the Math. Target is at least 300 agents by next year.

I think yung nasa Market Market Telus yun.

@its.joyz

thanks for the reply... that is the kind of post i was hoping to get here, now just a few more dozen of that and I'll be all set ^_^

quite irrelevent but im just wondering about you... you're a bum too at the moment ... so you left VXI? you made it sound like a dream come true, i'm just wondering why you left.

could you tell me where is justflowers? (physical location or website) that doesnt sound like tech support though which is what i mainly do...

which ACS are you reffereing to? advance contact solutions or affiliated computer services???

hope you can remember the one in cubao.. trust me im falling into some weird, depression/desperation state at the moment... im almost willing to try everything ^_^

lastly can anyone please give me a link to a list of all/most callcenters and the location of their recruitment office where one can do walk-in applications... online applications usually take half an eternity to process (yes... half an eternity is still an eternity)

this might be my last post for now, im just dropping by my dad's office here in the province. i'll try to check this thread asap.

and lastly "its.joyz" if you're done bumming around you might want to let me know, maybe we can look for a job together ^_^

1) Try looking for a call center that would take me in as a team leader
>>> most CC require you to have an experience on this post for 6 months or a year before they accept you even just as a qualified applicant.

2)Having worked for dell, I知 having difficulty imagining a customer that can scare me now.
>>> i heard CSR posts encounter more irate customers than tech support does LoL! anyway, i've been with dell for 5 months and i didn't encounter irate custs that much. i just didnt like the workload they give to their agents.

3) Suck it up and go back to where I might truly belong, level one tech support agent. However if ever I知 going back to this it needs to be for the highest bidder and I知 talking at least 24k
>>> i think you'll have a hard time looking for tier1 tech with 24k salary. that's gotta be uber rare or you might wna go back to hardware tech supp. 24/7 gives high pay to experienced TSR agents like you, though.

justflowers.com

physical location is at Shaw Blvd, Mandaluyong.

hope you can remember the one in cubao.. trust me im falling into some weird, depression/desperation state at the moment... im almost willing to try everything ^_^

There's Stellar Global, APAC and (by next year) TELUS.

lastly can anyone please give me a link to a list of all/most callcenters and the location of their recruitment office where one can do walk-in applications... online applications usually take half an eternity to process (yes... half an eternity is still an eternity)

tanong ko lang, if you think you're that good & deserves to be paid a lot more for your talent eh bakit mahina ka ata sa research & resourcefulness .. just asking lolz :silly:

@me_bee_da7

how can you say that i am "mahina" when it comes to researching? you don't know the lengths i go to find opportunities. i just made this post so that my info won't be limited to what i read in other posts, what i hear from previous officemates and friends and what i get from job search engines. also there are other things thats been keeping me busy like playing games ^_^

its also not a matter of me asking more because i think my skills are worth more, its because there are companies out there that pay more for the same skills. what i mean is for example company A hires ISP tech support for 12k, and company B hires for 16K. from a monetary point of view why would you work for company A when you can go to company B?

for the other posters thanks for your reply, i'm checking on those companies and see how i can make my way to their recruitment offices, if anybody out there wants to join me in the jobhunt, just PM me. good day to all ^_^

hay same here.. pareho tayo galing sa cvg for an ISP account.. and 3 years na ako sa callcenter industry! grabe hindi ko nafeel mag apply ng higher post kasi feel ko maging tech support agent palagi kasi gusto ko maaga umuuwe ayoko ng overtime.. tska pressure!

maganda **** mga companies na pinanggalingan mo for sure madami tatanggap sayo pero if you're aiming for 24k basic pay.. try mo 24/7 since galing ka sa convergys and dell for sure offer nila malaki sa basic pay mo.. pero kung gusto mo mapromote wag ka resign ng resign dear talaga hindi ka mapropromote.. sa CVG may career path madali mapromote kung pasado scorecard at kung may interest ka mag apply.. basta payo lang po.. try ka sa 24/7 madami tech accounts dun malaki sila mag offer base sa experience and sa scores mo sa exam.. and pakita mo mgaling mo.. may talent ka naman! kaya mo yan.. di yata biro ang cvg and dell company!!! =)
