Just curious - what is your average travel time from home to your work. Naalala ko yung cousin ko - she asked me the same question (balikbayan ang pinsan ko) sabi ko 1 hour and a half- it floored her:eek: sabi ko why? Sabi niya ang layo daw ng biyahe ko. Sabi ko ang traffic kasi. Sa kanila kasi ang 1 hour parang North Edsa to Enchanted Kingdom na.

Anyway i live in QC and work in Shaw Blvd- normal travel time ko is 1 hour commuting. Pero kung Sundays kaya ng 20 mins. Pero ang pinaka mahabang biyahe ko was in the late 90's before the MRT. From our home in QC Commonwealth to my work in Pasay - it took me 2hours to 2.5 hours per way so 5 oras roundtrip. What is yours?

In order of my job history (I live in Manila near Makati)
1. Call center in Makati: 15-20 mins
2. Manufacturing plant in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig: 60-90 mins. Pag minalas malas pa, 2 hours
3. Engineering company in Alabang:
a. Papuntang office: 30-45 mins (6am ang biyahe at walang trapik usually at that time)
b. Pabalik: 45 mins - 1 hour. Pag minalas ng trapik, 90 mins
4. (I dunno if this counts hehehe) From my flat to my office in Korea: 20-30 mins. Isang 10 min subway ride, 10 mins bus ride, the rest lakad na

for me it is usually 60 to 90 minutes... most of my officemates have the same travel time. some have worse conditions. most of the time, people who travel for less than 30 minutes are those who work near the office vicinity. that is how terrible traffic is. :(

That's why it's an understatement to say that we have heavy traffic in metro manila. It should be Really Heavy Heavy Heavy traffic. Oh well, I've seen traffic that's worse than ours--Bangkok.

Travel to work @ 7AM - about 30 mins. (Makati to Manila)

Travel from work @ 4PM - about an hour due to heavy traffic.

When I was living abroad: (Canada)

Travel to work @ 6:30AM and from work @ 4PM - almost 2 hours - due to their horrible public transit system.

average 1.5 hours to and from work. i live in manila (binondo) and work in makati (ayala ave).

minsan pag swerte na mas maluwag ang traffic, 1 hour. pag minalas naman, nakaranas na akong na umabot ng 2.5 hours.

at tatlong sakay yan, hindi lang isang mahabang sakay. once we move to fort, magiging 4 na sakay na, although travel time would probably still be more or less the same, since magiging iba rin yung route.

@tiffz, sa DKS ako. =) actually, sa haba ng byahe na-consider kong mag-rent pero nasasayangan ako e, so tyaga na lang sa 1.5 hours na travel time, each way.
