Ano kaya ang dapat kong kunin? First year IT student ako ngayon. Gusto ko mag shift dahil napagisipisip ko na parang mas gusto ko ng ibang course dahil bumagsak ako sa mga major subjects at nawawalan ako ng interes sa course ko. Ngayon, gusto ko sana ng course na hindi ma- math. Mas gusto ko kasi yung more on memorization lang.

don't drop the course just because you failed one subject... paano kung mag-fail ka ulit sa susunod na course na kunin mo, shift ka uli? consider your interest. next, what work do you see yourself doing after you graduate?
college is the final platform before "real life" sets in, not unless you pursue post-grad studies. it's supposed to arm you with knowledge and experience, it's the final training ground before you go into the battlefield. so choose the field because you see it as YOUR PLAYING FIELD and not just another 4 years of getting by receiving allowance etc... it's much much more than that.

Assess yourself first if you really are game to shift out of the IT course.
If you want lesser math, you might want to try the social sciences. Math can't still be avoided in one way or another but prepare to be bombarded with tons of theories, readings, case analysis. Dapat ready ang iyong critical thinking.
I have a friend who is an AB History student. At first, some people look down on him kasi "history" nga lang kuno ang course niya. But little do people know that the program that he is in is a killer one. Aside from the infinite readings, he has to analyze a lot of events.
There was one time in his American history assignment ata, questions would go like "Explain the influence of the American democratic and republican thought in the development of educational institutions in the Jeffersonian era. Cite 3 concrete examples of such." Haha. Good luck. And he has to do a lot of term papers and defend them almost every week :|
In my case, I'm an International Studies major. People usually think that it's easy, well it's not. Kasi bias nga is "tourist guide" or flight attendant ang aming future. Well, that's not the case. My course is closely tied to political science and I suffer the same consequences of being a social science student. Akala ko safe na rin ako sa math pero hindi pala. There was one time in our major that we had to calculate the concentration of the power of one state based on the polarity of the international system. HAHA. And not to mention our economics subjects.
Anyway, this is too long. Think first before you shift out. God bless you in your studies :)

Sabi nga ng friends ko, if you don't want much math, take Nursing lol.
Mas konti ang math ng IT sa CS. Isipin mo na lang kung engineering ka pa.
I believe this shouldn't bother you. Instead you must strive further. Like in my case, though I graduated from a science high school, I barely passed all my higher math subjects, so nung nag college na ako, pinag aralan ko talaga.
For me, ok lang na makakuha ako ng mabababang grades, you can do better next time, kasi alam ko na kung anu ito, anu iyon. Just like my other classmates do. Especually those na mas malala pa ang case sa akin, kasi may dislike sila sa math.

If you are into memorization, I guess courses such as Nursing or Human Bio or pharmacy may suit you well. Good luck on your decision. I guess by this time you already made up your mind.

Memorization? It would get you through college, pero hindi mo ma-apply lahat ng na-memorize mo when you go out working.
Probably nga, Humanities/Liberal Arts courses. Question lang: your lost of interest in the program you're taking now, what brought this about? Is it because you flunked a subject? Or hindi mo talaga hilig ang IT to begin with?
