Most non-voice accounts in BPO usually start their wage at 10-12K a month (because you're not using "your voice" at work); most also do not give benefits until regularization.

However, if 12K with an HMO benefit is OK with you, there is one on the 8th floor of the Allied Bank bldg on Ayala Ave. After 2 weeks of classroom training and another 2 weeks of transition on the floor, you will get a healthcard (that is, after you have undergone the medical exam; you can have that exam within a week after you have finished your 2 weeks on the floor).

In addition, the nature of work is relatively easy if you've been in a transcription or a voice account, both international.

You heard of Scopeworks Asia, right?

how long before regularization? do they accept part-timers?

To be honest with you, behnaz, the position currently is on a project basis, meaning it is a contract of 1 year. If you perform well within the year, you can either: (1) have your contract renewed for another year; or (2) apply for a higher position like a coach, team manager, and others - that's where the probation and regularization will apply. If you perform well within 6 months of your project contract and you have not incurred any disciplinary action during that period, then you can apply for the higher position. (They need 2,000 agents so movement is very much possible.)

They DO accept part-timers for the project basis. But I think it is only the afternoon shift, which starts at about 3pm. I am just not sure if the part time is 4 or 6 hours.

There is an opening also for a non-voice position in Accenture (full-time). That is in MSE Makati. There will be a 4-month training (with allowance) and, if you pass it, you will work with a starting salary of 10K with benefits.

With Accenture, you will expect an intense training and a strict work ethic. But it's one of the better companies around, so expect that the nature of work is not as easy as the 12K Scopeworks. in short, it can be toxic in there.

Accenture has a 6-month regualrization and a salary raise is possible. If you're honest and hardworking, Accenture will reward you, big time.

Another one is Voice Writer/Editor in Capital IQ. Non-Calls US-based Company 25k-28k basic + allowances

This is not in Makati, though. It's in Raffles bldg, Ortigas Ctr.

Compensation Package (according to another thread):

- 25k minimum basic salary. It can go up depending on your experience and the results of interviews and exam.
- 1k Non-taxable allowance
- HMO covered upon hire (extended to immediate dependents)
- Leaves can be availed upon hire
- The company will shoulder government deductions such as SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-Ibig etc.
- Dayshift and Nightshift schedule (rotation)
- No Christmas and New Year shifts
- Annual Salary Increase and Performance Bonuses (depends on performance)
- Casual attire and cozy environment for yuppies like you!

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate or Bachelor's/College Degree.
• Required skill: typing skills 35 wpm.
• Required language: English.
• Must have superior listening skills and great attention to every detail.
• At least 1 year International Call Center working experience is REQUIRED for this position.
• Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Customer Service or equivalent. Job role in Customer Service.

Responsibilities:

• - You will act as a Financial Voice Editor/Transcriptionsit and you will be responsible for creating publication-quality transcriptions of teleconferences or web casts of corporate earnings calls, shareholder, analyst calls, conference presentation calls, etc with the Giant Financial Corporations in the US.

• You will use the voice writing method – a method based on human dictation – and speech recognition software program that converts speech into text. It is far different from the usual transcription job as you are to use your voice to transcribe words and the high-end voice recognition software will convert those words to text.

- Next batch (Wave 4) might start on first week of June, then August and October.
- Every batch has 30-33 trainees.

wow! better! mas malapit sa amin (nang konti).. may referral ba or walk-in lang?

To harukatenoh, I am not sure of the exact procedure for re-applications there, but on the average, BPO companies give an allowance of at least three months before a previous applicant may apply again. Since you last applied in February, you may try applying again in May (just in time for their Wave 4 in June). You may give it another shot. Good luck!

To lunarpanda, walk-in is ideal but referral is also okay, if you know someone who works in there. Although I have seen this post from a different thread posted by another member, that may probably be a sort of referral strategy for that person in order to earn extra. People who announce openings for a job and asks prospective applicants to send resumes to an email address (instead of providing the office contact information) is a referral strategy. Most BPO companies offer a referral program in which the referror of a successful applicant gets additional money. You may go either way.

There is another opening for (almost) non-voice positions in Makati.

Company: IBM Daksh

Main role: Assist US-based marketing/sales people in closing their sales with their clients. Agents will not interact with nor sell to customers. They will just prepare documents, Power Point presentations, pricing information, and other paperwork and online work in relation to what the sales team will relay.

Mediums of communication with client's departments: email, chat, and minimal phone calls

Work schedule: Graveyard (in sync with US business hours); have work on Philippine holidays; may or may not have work on weekends and US holidays per client's advice

Basic salary per total work experience:

Php 14-16K/mo - 0 to <1 year
Php 16-18K/mo - 1 to <3 years
Php 20K/mo - 3 years and up

I am not sure of the exact salary bracket, but this most likely covers it.

Night diff & allowances are not yet included in the basic salary. Not sure what those additionals are.

Application process will be at the IBM Daksh recruitment office in EDSA Central mall, but work will be in Makati.

If less than 2 years of work experience, he/she must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Marketing, Commerce, Math, Accountancy, IT, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, or any Business Course.

That means fresh graduates may apply (that's 14K/mo for 0 to <1 year of experience)

If more than 2 years of work experience, he/she must have at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in ANY FIELD.

Excellent command of the English language
Proficiency in computers and internet applications
