hi there. i just want to inquire some info about call centers that give opportunities to those people who has no experience in this kind of industry. what would you recommend?
i have tried applying in:
TELETECH - the HR is asking for my TOR before they can continue my application process just to be sure that i dont have back subjects in my first and second year college. however i DO have. (im a third year irregular student. if i could only exchange my third year subjects to my second year subjects!)
SYKES - i tried here and my application is on active file i guess.
MANULIFE - applied here and took the exams already. they said they'll call. but i doubt it.
CONVERGYS - i failed in the initial interview already (which is very easy for me so i dont know why i didnt pass). i'll try to reapply here soon though.
IBM - i wasnt rejected here. it's just that they told me they dont accept undergraduates.
NCO - they said they dont accept applicants who plan to enroll for this semester (even if it's just one or two subjects!)
TELEPERFORMACE - i applied here two or three weeks ago and it was in the afternoon already so they scheduled me for an interview on the next day. i was not able to attend the interview due to some reasons. i wonder if i could still apply there this month?
VCUSTOMER - oh well, i failed in the interview! the HR thought im nervous, but i was just freezing to death. lol
please suggest other call centers i can try applying to. preferably graveyard shifts only. thanks a lot!

hi chris
i guess you just need to finish them first tapos pag wala ka ng problema sa mga subject mo apply ka ulit...me ibang call center kasi na ok ang undergraduate wag lang me back subjects..
regarding interviews....practice always...try to speak in english all the time... or try to speak in front of a mirror...basa basa ka rin ng english books or newspaper maeenhance din dun yung pag english mo at medyo makakawala sya ng kaba....
i had 2 call center rejections also pero it never stopped me... apply lang ng apply marami pang call center sa pinas hehehe
good luck

i've had my share of rejections even as a person with call center experience (for two years already)...
the good thing with you is your perseverance... with those "application experiences" you've had, for sure your pretty much better than your "old" self... :)
sometimes dear, we don't have to be too honest on job interviews especially in questions such as length of stay with company, priorities between company and school, etc. of course the company wants to hear applicants saying "i'll be yout best agent and i'll stay with the company till the end" kind of thing... just show and tell them you want to be with the company and you needed a job...
if the company is good naman then definitely you'll stay di ba? regarding TORs, since your an undergrad, just tell them your an undergrad, either show them your classcards or whatever proof from school and tell them your in need of a job, studies can go later kind of thing... :)
i'm with NCO before and i had friends there who are students as well, (UP pa nga, heheh) and they are in full time shift, somehow kahit mahirap nagagawa naman nilang pagsabayin pero madalas tulog sa school or sa work heheh... o kaya absent sa school ganun, mahirap lang talaga:)
goodluck! just keep it up! again just learn when to be honest and when to say nice things instead of the real unpleasant-to-hear kind of thing.... (i hope you get what i mean) :)

Try TELUS!
Nagtagal ako sa Telus for 1 1/2 years. Sa Ortigas site ako noon. OK ang people, medyo may kaliitan ang salary by paper (13.5k) pero lagi sila sobra magpasweldo hehe.
IT dun, naglalaro kasi kami ng DoTA during shift. hehehe.
Recruitmen Hub yata nasa Cubao or Market2x.

hi chris, you've mentioned that ur career path is fit for IT right? if you want, you can apply here at eTelecare... then when a vacant position is offered for the internal employees, you could apply for LOI... i am currently working as an IT specialist here so if you want i could refer you... just PM me if you want... with regards on what to do during interviews, just be yourself. when at home practice reading out loud, esp tongue twisters... by the way, etel is the first company i've worked for, i've been here for almost 3 years, y have i stayed? because of the quarterly bonus and the big salary increase once promoted... i'll wait for your PM... ;p

tanong lang po ate anne. Im assuming e-telecare accepts undergrads but do they accept people who are currently enrolled? and ano po ang LOI? Letter of intent? so meaning you can apply for the position of IT specialist after being hired by the company? ano po ba ginagawa ng IT specialist?

Hi! Can you give some details regarding your post? Like, if its a technical account or CSR account... I would like to match my profile and resume to the account itself before I submit it.
Thanks!

Mag rereminisce lang ako. Fresh grad din ako last year graduate ako ng BS Radiologic Technology. I was too irritated to process all the documents needed by my school for the board exams. Too much bureaucracy in my case.
Right after ko sa PS, pumunta naman ako sa MRT ayala station 'cause they have a screening booth there. Hinatid ako ng shuttle to their office, but to my dismay, again, I failed.
Gusto ko na rin tumigil kasi nahihiya na ko humingi ng money from my brother.
I also tried sa IBM. I waited for 2 hours pero di naman ako natawag.
Nag walk in ako sa Discov site nila. Buti na lang umabot pa ko.
Sa Telus ok talaga. Madali lang ipasa yung exams nila. Calmado rin ang mga tao dito. I've stayed there for 8 months. My account was in Market2. Malayo na sya for me.
TIPS:
*Magdasal bago mag aaply. This really works
This will help
*In my case, pag masyadong maayos yung suot ko, bumabagsak ako.
